I remember watching that 1996 match live and seeing Deng Yaping win. I was WAY too young at the time to appreciate her talent, but looking back now as an adult...HOLY MOTHER OF GOD! She was an absolute ASSASSIN!

    1. 0:03 it's 1988 in Seoul but not 1998
    2. 1992 Waldner and 1996 Liu Guoliang are missing
    3. 1:03 Wang Hao didn't even participate Sydney Olympic
    4. 1:55 this is a double event with two pairs playing , Zhang Yining and Wang Nan as the winner
    5. 2:15 3:03 double events were already cancelled in 2008, those were called team event
It's unforgivable and shameful for an official page to make these stupid mistakes, please amend them immediately

    1992 Olympics: Men's Singles
    Gold Medalist: Jan-Ove Waldner (Sweden)
    Silver Medalist: Jean-Philippe Gatien (France)
Bronze Medalist: Kim Taek Soo (Korea Republic)
    Ma Wenge (China)
Good Job, Sweden. You're the only non-Asian country to win a gold medal in a major Olympic table tennis tournament.

I think a sport should be included not only based on popular it is to play, but also how popular it is to watch! I do agree that it is better if the matches are more even, but it should not matter which country the player comes from.

Holy cow from all the footage I've seen, Atlanta was one of the ugliest venues I've seen host the Olympics. Everything from the barriers, to the flooring and even choice of table. Let alone the mascot that never appeared.
    It's like they barely tried.
