Omggg can we talk about how everyone is going to find out Andarna was a baby dragon the whole time instead of a feather tail because she grew and try to exploit the other baby dragons like tayrn was kind of foreshadowing earlier that violet needed to keep the secret of feather tails (baby dragons) from humans because their powers are raw and a form of their own personal magic instead of their riders 😭

Violet’s mom let her train as a scribe for all those years because she knew when she decided to make her a rider 6 months before she entered she would have all of the knowledge and be the most powerful rider. She said Vi knew how to handle pain, Vi knew all of the history, would know about strategy from growing up around the military.
There has to be more to her Mom. They call her cruel and strict. Yet, in Chapter Five the opening quote was a letter were she objected to the rebel kids watching their parents executed. There is also the fact that Aretia where Brennen is hidden is scorched off her map. She probably has to be extra guarded because of General Melgren. Also, thought it was interesting that Violet has Lightening and her Mom can channel storms. With guarding everything from her family and not talking the Violet, she is concealing info.
For Liam, that was heartbreaking, but I am wondering if he also wants Violet to protect his sister because she can sign. When they went and got the books from Jesinia, she says that he signed immediately. So I wonder if Sloane is deaf and Violet can communicate with her.
When is she going to get her Dad's notes? She said she knew where he kept it. I bet he wrote into in his notes about Venin research and other things.

I think she’s going to have a snape type redemption in the end! She knows something about Violet we don’t!
omg the imogen one is so crazyy bc xaden ordered her to spar with violet so she might have erased her memories🤔 the mother forcing violet to be a rider bc theres something happening in the scribes theory omg!! am i the only one who thinks that maybe violet changed after the venin attack?? they said her blood was black and venin’s blood are black… maybe she gains a power idk idk😭

These are all great theories! Here are a few of mine since I don’t know anyone who’s read the book.
Imogen - How does her signet work? Is it through touching like Dains and how recent is recent? Is it minutes, hours, days, etc.? Did she use it in Fourth Wing because in Chapter 26 when Mira and Violet are reuniting Imogen says they are weird but in Chapter 27 when Violet talks about how they were split into two groups for the day at Montserret Imogen isn’t mentioned in any of the groups. Plus when they have to fly away during the attack she isn’t mentioned either. Is that a mistake on Rebecca’s part when writing or did Imogen help Xaden smuggle weapons (why his pack was lighter) then mind-wipe everyone to include the squadron, instructor, Mira and commander to show she wasn’t there? It would be odd to say she wasn’t there since she was apart of the winning squad. Also, why didn’t she use the mind-wipe on the guard in Chapter 25 when they were stealing the map instead of them having to sneak/attack him? Hopefully Iron Flame dives more into her signet cause it is an interesting one.
Dain - He says he can only read recent memories when touching someone’s temples, page 52. But Xaden and Tairn think it’s just when he touches someone. Also same question as Imogen, how recent is recent? Dain touches Violet 33 times, 9 of those are on her face/cheek. Xaden tells Violet about visiting Athebyne in Chapter 31 page 391 but doesn’t say what it was for, Dain touches her face on page 405 but that was at least a month after Xaden told Violet. So can he just see any memories and told Violet it was recent because his signet is “classified”?
Violet mom - I think she cares for Violet but is trying to protect her from everything, maybe the reason she ignored her after Brennan and her dad died? But also doesn’t favor her children because when Violet is starting to cross the parapet a storm appears and when she finishes the storm dies down. Did her mom do that since her signet lets her control storms? Also, Mira received the Order of the Talon but at the beginning of Chapter 26 it was recommended to her mom that she receive the Star of Navarre. Why did her mom downgrade the award? Did she not want to show favoritism? I don’t think her mom likes or agrees with General Melgren because at the beginning of Chapter 5 it states she briefs that the children of the rebels shouldn’t watch their parents executed like he wants. Think her mom is still hiding stuff especially about the Venin but don’t think she knows Brennan is alive because that would be hard to keep under wraps and her dislike of Xaden is too strong as him being Fen’s son.
My theory about Violet’s Mom - she wants to go against the government, but General Melgren’s power is to see the outcome of battles before they happen so Gen. Sorrengail has to work around that. She knows Violet has potential beyond what people give her credit for, but can’t actively help Violet plot because Melgren would see that. Gen. Sorrengail has to work behind the scenes and move people in a way that won’t let Melgren see what she’s planning.
Liam had so much potential! Authors always have to kill off characters we love and it really makes me mad (dobby , Fred, Lupin ect). I knew someone I liked would die! I am just so sad it had to be Liam.
What if she can see the future? Or something that will help block the general’s ability?

I think Nolan siphoned outside of his dragon, and became vinen… I also think he became the Sage.
I will be livid if Violet loses her memories. It will be replaying all the shit between her and Xaden for a whole book again. It was great once. Leave it there.

Is Naolin the Sage for the Venin?
Nooo. Her mom is evil. The husband found out she wanted to kill the children and was hiding the wyvern from everyone. Her mom wanted violet dead or atleast to not discover the truth about the wyvern. The mom is Shady. I then violets bro faked his death in part to get away from thr mom and be in the rebellion. I think violet will write her self a letter describing everything and then have imogen erase for dain. And then we kill dain cos fck him. Then we remind her and she still hasn't forgiven zaiden and while she has forgotten we get some forced proximity trope. Idk about her second Signet but I think it will be something peaceful and helpful because nature requires a balance. I agree her mom was probably attacked by venin while pregnant with vi. But idt it gave her powers. I think it goes to show even more how evil momma is.
I agree on the letter to escape Dain. the mother I think she's good to be honest and Xaden I don't think he'll play dead since their dragons are bonded they can't be separated. maybe Imogen also modifies her memory or everyone's memory….. but… they already know about Xaden's cheating, so I really have no idea how they could fix it and keep seeing each other
