All New Schumacher LD3 2wd race buggy

- A year of bugy racing and Carl still has not had a competitive car to race so with the sneak peak of the LD3 prototype it is time for Carl to upgrade and get the latest 2wd buggy.
what are your thoughts will you be trading up your Schumacher cougar LD2 for the new and improved LD3 ...
Is this car going to be better than the world championship winning TLR or the super safe associated B6.4

It's crazy how I'm in the states and had my house burn down and lost ALL of my rc stuff and was rebuilding my stuff for this season and almost bought the LD2 but decided just to wait a bit and run my yokomo and see what happens...good luck to u guys, TTYL

I'm in the US and just today I dealt with Schumacher customer service. Unfortunately one of their orders packers had made a mistake and packed some lexan parts in a soft envelope to be shipped overseas. Let's just say it didn't work out so well. I contacted them, Mick got right back to me, replaced my order and I won't say what else but he went above and beyond.
Schumacher service is definitely one of the best in the business. I've been a customer since the '80s and I've got nothing but good things to say about them.

I’ll be getting one too, when you came to Junction16 I was running my LD, I have an LD2 as well.
If you want pointers to start, get the brass radio tray and all front pivot block, 7k 2 gears in the diff for carpet, start there see how it feels, then as you feel you want more steering, look at Orlowskis setup sheets and tweak your car closer to his until it feels right for you.
Parts and support is KEY for us new guys. You will always have more fun if you go with a brand that has local support.

Rumour has it the LD3 prototype was also built for American dirt tracks with a layback gearbox. 🤔
It may come with both like the B6.4 but I doubt it would be used much here in the states. The track where the world's was held doesn't have a whole lot of traction but with no tire prep or saucing allowed a layback there makes sense.

Yes TLR won the 2 wd world championship, with Tater Sontag, who is 16 years old.

I had a funny feeling you might go for the new LD3, it should be an awesome buggy. I've heard from a couple of sources that it's due at the end of this month, that's why a lot of shops sold off their stock of LD2's, and as you said there will be a few LD2 buggies for sale soon, I hope.....
my LHS is having a sale on Xray xb2-23 and during worlds its talked about xray coming with a new car also.
lets hope its something new and not an upgrade on a small detail from previous year as it used to be.

Must admit i was expecting a bit of insider knowledge in this video..... after your visit to Schumacher I thought you were going to pull a few strings and do the old Tommy Cooper impression and one of the 1st LD3 kits were gona magically appear on the bench 😢

have you seen the new mugen 2wd , coming ....that looks like a real game changer in its design , obviously it has to prove itself , but its certainly looks like it will do well , the spares issue might be the same issue , i am still running a tlr 22 3.0 you cant beleive how hard it is to get parts for that in australia... but i have the same problem with my schumachers
