Thanks for your video. I always find your videos helpful. Just a note on the E in the EOBD.... if you read the manual section 4.1 sub section 3A, NOTE -the E in the model type of OBD2/EOBD2 is for Enhanced OBD codes from the manufacturer specifically for the car you are diagnosing. " manufacturer specific or enhanced codes." It has nothing to do with enhanced data output. It would have been nice though. :)

I think for £50/60 currently here in the uk against your review it’s value for money, personally for me in my e46 m3 being able to read your usual ABS sensor and generic stuff is fantastic. Thanks for the video, helped a a lot.
I know, right? I want more companies reaching out. I'll give honest reviews and/or I'll just send something back. Yes INPA is good but it doesn't show you OBD2 fuel trims. The fuel trims it gives you are different and not useful for diagnosing stuff. But, yes, this Foxwell hasn't replaced my main tool, which is ScanMaster ELM, simply because ScanMaster can graph multiple PIDs at once on the same page.
HOW CAN YOU USE O2 SENSOR DATA TO DETERMINE IF THEIR BAD?? ALSO CAT DATA? HOW DO WE DETERMINE IF THE GRAPH IS PROPER? WHERE CAN I OBTAIN THE CORRECT VALUES (SPECS.) TO COMPARE WITH THE TEST READINGS?? THANKS! GREAT VIDEO!
Cant beat it for the price short of a $2000 scan tool with a full touch screen interface and all that for a DIY wrench monkey or even a pro on a budget this is a good starter scan tool and will let you diagnose and see status on most vital systems. I love mine. Also convenient and easy to transport if you need to do some work outside of your garage.
Great review! Guys on the Land Rover forum rave about the Foxwell NT510 scanner because it has an option to bleed ABS brake lines without a helper. I'm looking for one that will work on my 2001 Discovery and my wife's diesel X5.
The FOXWELL NT301 OBD 2 SCANNER is reading my car to be using ISO 9141 2 and but can't get a read on anything. I've updated the scanner but no luck so far. I have a 2006 Nissan (Japan) any pointers on how to go about this?
I got some error about Fuel Trim Bank 2 on a E46 323i. It does explain why the car has increased fuel consumption, oil leaking to one or more of the plugs, and smoke coking from the engine bay. Still had terrible fuel consumption (SUV-like consumption) even after cleaning the MAF sensor.
How about Creator C310+? or what can you recommend for bmw both new and old models covering all series, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 X an Zs and of course all the M//s.
the problem I have with these DIY sub 200 toys especially Foxwell, is the blue waveform on black background. can't even see it outside. what genius came up with that. White on black or yellow but dark blue on black. pure stupidity.
Thank you for the video.. but about the tool NT 201, it reads codes for cars that year made 1996 US cars.. 2003 asian cars (which is not good).. 2001 European cars , but NT 301 reads codes for all foreign and US cars made 1996 and newer.. that why NT 301 costs more $
yes any car made after 1996 i think. Thats when the protocols changed in the way most vehicles were manufactured. A lot was to do with emissions and safety. So it should work on your Kia Sportage no problem.
Hi!Been following your E46 rebuild series for some time now though Im wondering if you already have or would do a ground repair in the future? I have all sorts of lights turning on and off on the driver panel and came to the conclusion that I have a faulty ground somewhere which also caused my previous fuelpump to overheat. Would like to avoid this from happening again but, I need some guidence :)
yes carly will support their own adaptors but not give advice on other adaptors , which look remarkably saimilar if not the same electronic workings. has anyone tried carly with elm 327 and bmw e46? does obdfusion run on pc mac or droid/phone?
Hello@50sKid,..i have a question i didnt saw any peugeot in thge vehicle list,..so my question is can i still use it for a peugeot? plzz try to answer will you?
its about 80 dollars so if you want a better one you need to spend about $250 for 80 dollars i would say that it is good i bought a innova for 140 at auto zone and it only gives codes no live data.
the enhanced data is not available for all cars .... my ford reads more than my dodge ..... my dodge has a factory 3.0 mitsu motor from dodge ...if i tell the scan tool its a mitsu eclipse with a 3.o liter i get more info ..... its crazy like my buddy 2010 explorer read a p115E which is enhanced data throttle body cpu adjustment at max limit .... i recently scored the actron cp 9695 .... it is absolutely incredible..... 329 pids on my mountaineer..... from cat temps of 1500°f to how many misfires from each cylinder....to the temp of spark plug has the epb retract and engage co2 test info , throttle body reset , all systems scanner.... can do ford koer koeo all those specialized test.... all kinda cool bells
WTF? We can do without the crybaby shit about it taking a couple seconds longer to load the protocol at the beginning.... lol EOBD refers to european on board diagnostics (EOBD) "NOT ENHANCED" Try downloading the software that comes with it and update it.
I look at its face the whole time the whole video it's like burned on my phone I can't take it off I put it his picture on my home screen in my startup screen in my lock screen I put that face on it
I don't think they sent that to you free to do a video I think you're lying about that it wasn't free they didn't send it to you you're not that big guy you're not the big time guy
It's free you're so picky it's updating but it's not updating too fast it's a girl graph. but it's not that good of a graph it's not the best graph out there
I have this and never knew you could bring up a graph for live data. Glad I watched this

Best qualified review of this reader.
Thanks for summing the difference between the 301 and 201. Very helpful.
I think for £50/60 currently here in the uk against your review it’s value for money, personally for me in my e46 m3 being able to read your usual ABS sensor and generic stuff is fantastic. Thanks for the video, helped a a lot.
Thank you for your unbiased review.
I have this model and my opinion is that for $50 you can’t beat it. I’ve picked up codes with this one that my autel 906bt or launch Diagun V couldn’t
Thanks, just cancelled on the NT301 and bought the NT201, currently about a 20 dollar difference.
I gave you LIKE because your review seems to be honest than many reviewers out there
Nice to see that a company has reached out to you! Awesome.
Won't replace INPA for me though, but looks like a good thing to have around anyway.
I know, right? I want more companies reaching out. I'll give honest reviews and/or I'll just send something back. Yes INPA is good but it doesn't show you OBD2 fuel trims. Where can I find a good version of INPA. Everyone I get loaded sucks. Error codes when I open functions. My 5.06 is german. Its frustrating
Thanks for your honesty. I wanted to buy one.
Also, live data will update faster, the fewer values you are monitoring. If you're only monitoring 2-3, it updates 10 times faster
Great video thank you. I bought the 301

Choose two out of the three.
What is the best Feature/price, scanner that gives ABS codes?
i have the FOXWELL NT510 love it works on all the aussie made cars and just unlocked it to use on my e46 330ci
There is a users manual included in the package
Great review!
Guys on the Land Rover forum rave about the Foxwell NT510 scanner because it has an option to bleed ABS brake lines without a helper. I'm looking for one that will work on my 2001 Discovery and my wife's diesel X5.
Will it give the transmission oil temperature
It doesn't give it enough time he just keeps pushing the damn buttons
These are the codes I’m getting
What scanner would you recommend for a 1998 BMW E39 540i? Something to check codes and check engine lights. Thanks.
How do you check misfire or which cylinder causes misfire using this tool?
Im wondering the same
EOBD refers to european on board diagnostics (EOBD)
I guess you don't know and he is trying to review it also
can it identify issues in electric system? comfort module etc. ?
Looks good, have it on its way the only thing thatll annoy me is the speed of scrolling through the list haha
The FOXWELL NT301 OBD 2 SCANNER is reading my car to be using ISO 9141 2 and but can't get a read on anything. I've updated the scanner but no luck so far. I have a 2006 Nissan (Japan) any pointers on how to go about this?
will this read my fuel rail
pressure from my fuel pressure sensor?
Which Code Readers are on this Quality level but Boot Up Quicker? Thanks..
I got some error about Fuel Trim Bank 2 on a E46 323i. It does explain why the car has increased fuel consumption, oil leaking to one or more of the plugs, and smoke coking from the engine bay. Still had terrible fuel consumption (SUV-like consumption) even after cleaning the MAF sensor.
which is better blue driver or foxwell ?
hi, will it cycle the abs pump when you need to bleed brakes
Hi, its working on MB Sprinter t1n ?
Does this read trans fluid temp
I thought this clears ABS codes Now I'm not happy Which Foxwell does clear ABS codes?
Please review the Actron models and compare
Very helpful vid. Thanks.
How about Creator C310+? or what can you recommend for bmw both new and old models covering all series, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 X an Zs and of course all the M//s.
The E stands for european.
Is there KIA manufacturer available? I mean the moment when you reading fault codes.
well, it does have the usb
the problem I have with these DIY sub 200 toys especially Foxwell, is the blue waveform on black background. can't even see it outside. what genius came up with that. White on black or yellow but dark blue on black. pure stupidity.
EOBD is European On-Board Diagnostics. For Euro cars
Just got a brand new NT301 off eBay for $29.99!
Thank you for the video.. but about the tool NT 201, it reads codes for cars that year made 1996 US cars.. 2003 asian cars (which is not good).. 2001 European cars , but NT 301 reads codes for all foreign and US cars made 1996 and newer.. that why NT 301 costs more $
Less then 20sec lol not that long
Lol 😆 30 second from my timing..... you're right not long. What does he want, instant
Did this work well for the Kia Sportage?
yes any car made after 1996 i think. Thats when the protocols changed in the way most vehicles were manufactured. A lot was to do with emissions and safety. So it should work on your Kia Sportage no problem.

I can't exactly tell you what to do over the internet--it sounds like you've got an advanced problem.
Maybe, but I hope not haha. You think you can do a video about it?
It would certainly help, as did all your other videos :)
hi 50's kid.
what do you think of the elm327 v1.5 wifi/bluetooth/usb odb readers ?
can they be used on a 2001 e46 330ci and carly app for android?
I have a wifi one and I use it with obdfusion. I haven't tried the Carly app yet.
yes carly will support their own adaptors but not give advice on other adaptors , which look remarkably saimilar if not the same electronic workings.
has anyone tried carly with elm 327 and bmw e46?
does obdfusion run on pc mac or droid/phone?
Hey i was wondering how you go about getting products to test from companies.i would like to do this I'm a mechanic.
They hit me up.
Keeping create content to get it
Hello@50sKid,..i have a question i didnt saw any peugeot in thge vehicle list,..so my question is can i still use it for a peugeot?
plzz try to answer will you?
the 43 dollar one do you have a review video ?
The nt301 is one of the cheapest readers that also does 12 Volt diesels equipped with OBD2
mode 6 is e obd live data graph
50sKid do nice tool review video and BMW diagnostic video. He stop update video since 2018 because of some reasons.
He got his own style. He wear do rag he cool. Get enstein handkerchief hat.
Disculpe amigo. Is normal que el sensor tps marque 0% in parking y al acelerar se queda igual en 0%. Es normal eso?
Eobd stands for european on board diagnostics. It has nothing to do with "enhanced obd"

The guy gave a LOT of helpful info.
WTF ! Don't be such an unappreciative crybaby.
Could you review Blue Driver android scan tool ?
Ah I dunno that I want to pay $100 for something that will still only provide the same information that this tool does
Dude for $50.00 its a grest little scanner you get what you pay for !
E = European OBD .

If you own a Jeep, don't buy this unit. I did and found out it does not have jeep in it's list of vehicles for codes.
Jeep is owned by Fiat/Chrysler since 2009... Prior to that it was owned by Daimler/Chrysler and uses the same OBDII coding as Chrysler products..
38 glue
Save me from lying sales people
I look at its face the whole time the whole video it's like burned on my phone I can't take it off I put it his picture on my home screen in my startup screen in my lock screen I put that face on it
EOBD? - Its called marketing. We call it BS.
This is true
EOBD refers to european on board diagnostics (EOBD) but your still correct European/ US still a OBD2 diagnostic tool.
It's 70 bucks , what do expect. 🤷
I thought the e stood for European
I don't think they sent that to you free to do a video I think you're lying about that it wasn't free they didn't send it to you you're not that big guy you're not the big time guy
