Thanks for your video. I always find your videos helpful. Just a note on the E in the EOBD.... if you read the manual section 4.1 sub section 3A, NOTE -the E in the model type of OBD2/EOBD2 is for Enhanced OBD codes from the manufacturer specifically for the car you are diagnosing. " manufacturer specific or enhanced codes." It has nothing to do with enhanced data output. It would have been nice though. :)

What is the best Feature/price, scanner that gives ABS codes?
I think for £50/60 currently here in the uk against your review it’s value for money, personally for me in my e46 m3 being able to read your usual ABS sensor and generic stuff is fantastic. Thanks for the video, helped a a lot.

I know, right? I want more companies reaching out. I'll give honest reviews and/or I'll just send something back. Yes INPA is good but it doesn't show you OBD2 fuel trims. The fuel trims it gives you are different and not useful for diagnosing stuff. But, yes, this Foxwell hasn't replaced my main tool, which is ScanMaster ELM, simply because ScanMaster can graph multiple PIDs at once on the same page.
Where can I find a good version of INPA. Everyone I get loaded sucks. Error codes when I open functions. My 5.06 is german. Its frustrating

I got some error about Fuel Trim Bank 2 on a E46 323i. It does explain why the car has increased fuel consumption, oil leaking to one or more of the plugs, and smoke coking from the engine bay. Still had terrible fuel consumption (SUV-like consumption) even after cleaning the MAF sensor.

data, print each page or will it print the entire record,all the pages?

Cant beat it for the price short of a $2000 scan tool with a full touch screen interface and all that for a DIY wrench monkey or even a pro on a budget this is a good starter scan tool and will let you diagnose and see status on most vital systems. I love mine. Also convenient and easy to transport if you need to do some work outside of your garage.

Guys on the Land Rover forum rave about the Foxwell NT510 scanner because it has an option to bleed ABS brake lines without a helper. I'm looking for one that will work on my 2001 Discovery and my wife's diesel X5.

The FOXWELL NT301 OBD 2 SCANNER is reading my car to be using ISO 9141 2 and but can't get a read on anything. I've updated the scanner but no luck so far. I have a 2006 Nissan (Japan) any pointers on how to go about this?

Also, live data will update faster, the fewer values you are monitoring. If you're only monitoring 2-3, it updates 10 times faster

Hi!Been following your E46 rebuild series for some time now though Im wondering if you already have or would do a ground repair in the future? I have all sorts of lights turning on and off on the driver panel and came to the conclusion that I have a faulty ground somewhere which also caused my previous fuelpump to overheat. Would like to avoid this from happening again but, I need some guidence :)

yes any car made after 1996 i think. Thats when the protocols changed in the way most vehicles were manufactured. A lot was to do with emissions and safety. So it should work on your Kia Sportage no problem.

I have a wifi one and I use it with obdfusion. I haven't tried the Carly app yet.
yes carly will support their own adaptors but not give advice on other adaptors , which look remarkably saimilar if not the same electronic workings.
has anyone tried carly with elm 327 and bmw e46?
does obdfusion run on pc mac or droid/phone?
Thank you for the video.. but about the tool NT 201, it reads codes for cars that year made 1996 US cars.. 2003 asian cars (which is not good).. 2001 European cars , but NT 301 reads codes for all foreign and US cars made 1996 and newer.. that why NT 301 costs more $

the enhanced data is not available for all cars .... my ford reads more than my dodge ..... my dodge has a factory 3.0 mitsu motor from dodge ...if i tell the scan tool its a mitsu eclipse with a 3.o liter i get more info ..... its crazy like my buddy 2010 explorer read a p115E which is enhanced data throttle body cpu adjustment at max limit ....
i recently scored the actron cp 9695 .... it is absolutely incredible..... 329 pids on my mountaineer..... from cat temps of 1500°f to how many misfires from each cylinder....to the temp of spark plug

its about 80 dollars so if you want a better one you need to spend about $250 for 80 dollars i would say that it is good i bought a innova for 140 at auto zone and it only gives codes no live data.

Eobd stands for european on board diagnostics. It has nothing to do with "enhanced obd"

EOBD refers to european on board diagnostics (EOBD) but your still correct European/ US still a OBD2 diagnostic tool.
If you own a Jeep, don't buy this unit. I did and found out it does not have jeep in it's list of vehicles for codes.
Jeep is owned by Fiat/Chrysler since 2009... Prior to that it was owned by Daimler/Chrysler and uses the same OBDII coding as Chrysler products..
