I am certainly not judging her, she is a remarkable young lady. She was used to being free could go on a trip even in winter if she wanted to she now feels confined to her small home it gets to her. She had a life change it takes adjusting to it isn’t always easy. I love admire everything about her. She has many followers we feel the same way. She has had a great influence on the lives of people of all ages. We are all human beings. We don’t all have the same body chemistry. She had a difficult winter adjusting to it. My dear young lady with an old soul--I am 75 years old and grew up on a farm with just enough to keep us sheltered and fed. I now have a beautiful new condo to live in. I will never forget my childhood feeling that I longed for and lacked nothing, though looking back I had nothing but family and love and nature. Do not compare, as we all have our own journey to make. You are lovely inside and outside, and so creative. If you were to poll your audience, most would be envious of your lifestyle and willingness to challenge yourself. You can be proud of yourself and of course love your uniqueness. You are precious. Some tips for sewing improvement: 1) For the gathering make sure to use two parallel rows of gathering stitches and have the final stitches fall in between those two. Extra points if you steam the gathering in to place before attaching. This will help it all look a bit more even. 2) some of the dress hems seem longer in the front than the back. After making a dress but before hemming the skirt hang it on a dress form or hanger for one to two days. The material will stretch in certain places due to the direction of the weave. After hanging even out the hem. 3) if I make a pattern for the first time I make a mock-up (first try) out of old bedlinnen from the thrift store. This way you can save the more special fabric. The mock-ups become pajamas, gardening clothes, selvaged for a next mock-up or cut into squares for kitchen roll. Overall though, your dresses look wonderful! And try not to think of home-made as something negative. it's an amazing feeling to be able to wear something home made. the little mistakes make it so much more special and distinguish the garments as home made! ❤
Great ideas here! I want to learn how to sew better but I'm a visual learner. Do you know of a video that really shows the gathering technique you are describing? I have old bedsheets I've been saving specifically to create patterns with that actually fit me but the sewer I know only knows the most basic of things so that's all I know. You describe things so well.

You do t need a big house and luxury items. I grew up in a 10,000 sq foot home and had the golden spoon in my mouth. I was bored and unhappy and I didnt have a lot of friends either because my father wanted to have friends of successful stature. I would give anything to have your life. I bought a house in Waterville Washington with my long term girlfriend and it’s so quiet here. The small town living and overlooking wheat fields. I absolutely love it. You’re about 3 hrs away from me. You should be so blessed to have rivers, mountains, fields to see each morning.You can’t put a price on that Isabel. You live an amazing life hun. Agreed. I once had a family member who wouldn't even speak to you if you weren't a "celebrity" or "famous" and that caused so much "pain and suffering" amongst the siblings. Our parents would have wanted UNCONDITIONAL LOVE amongst us all. It's not right that society places value on what someone has "achieved or accomplished" in their lifetime. It’s funny to hear you talk about idealizing other people’s lives. I found you very recently and have been binge watching all your videos and I have been idealizing YOUR life. I got to feeling a bit stressed actually that I felt this inner calling so strongly to try to replicate what I see you have created with your life. I felt like I could never do it, but the pull feels so strong to live more simply and close to nature. I have been knitting, learning to sew, and making music trying to slow down and remember that peace comes from within. When I heard you talking about how once you moved there from the city, you still felt in many ways the same inside, it all clicked for me. Dreams are important, but that need for “something else” is usually not what we think it is. Its inner peace and a clear mind filled with gratitude no matter where we live or what our lifestyle is. In my 20’s I lived in an extremely tiny apartment on my own. Now I’m much older and live in a large house with a lot of land and I can honestly say that my happiest time was that little apartment. It was cosy, simple and low maintenance. Bliss! The bigger the home, the more cleaning and maintenance is needed. Enjoy the simple times, they’ll be the memories you’ll cherish.

The constant "battle" for a lousy parking space:-( became tiresome. Isabel's channel INSPIRED! ME! to make the change that has brought me unbelievable *peace* and *harmony* with NATURE. I will never go back to the hustle and bustle of the contemporary urban lifestyle. I never imagined embracing the "simple life" would bring me this much JOY, CONTENTMENT, and HAPPINESS. Oof. I don't usually comment and just enjoy your videos from afar, but you really got the tears flowing in my eyes with what you were saying at the end of this video. I look at your life and compare mine (which I believe is a very natural human thing to do) and I feel exactly how you said you've been feeling. Sad, depressed, uninspired, wondering why I'm even here or trying to do anything at all. It was a good reminder that we really know nothing about other people's lives and this all is such a parasocial relation far from reality. I longingly dream of everything you have - assuming it's better than anything I have - and yet at the end of the day, we feel the same. The words you spoke at the end of the video really made me inspired. This past winter has been a really dark and difficult time for me too and I can definitely feel what you were saying. I right now am fighting against all those thoughts and trying to feel and release all that is keeping me down but it's been very hard and tiring, and I still have some months ahead before I can change how I'm living. It really comforted me hearing you talk about the fleeting nature of life and time, and how everything is temporary. It's been really helpful to really look at other people and not only at what they post on social media, and realizing how each and everyone of us has similar struggles. Isabella, NOOOOO, you do NOT want a big house. We left a large house that's impossible to keep clean and my kid's escaping to their bedrooms and getting distant from us. We moved to a really small cabin with a lot of land and it was the best decision for us all. I'm not struggling to keep a house clean and my family is getting back to being close and doing things together again. Your dresses are all so beautiful and the one you said you liked the least was actually my most favorite one. The last one, the green one with the white shirt was my 2nd favorite. I really want to get back to sewing and making my own dresses and for my daughter too. Love this life you have been blessed with. I admire you and Logan for all you do. You have a beautiful life.

I had a really hard winter season and a really hard and traumatic year. I can relate so much to that feeling of self-hate, lacking inspiration for life and art, and wondering if it will ever go away. I am also melting and awakening with spring, and remembering my strength and light. Thank you for your authenticity, and beautiful capturing of nature and life in the mountains. I dreamed of living in the mountains and just recently moved to Vancouver, BC Canada. I think the hardest thing is when you are living everything you wanted and still feel depressed, it feels like a personal failure. But like the seasons, we have our phases. Gratitude may come easier sometimes than others but we try all the same

We may believe that living life to the fullest is seeing every country in the world and quitting your job on a whim and falling recklessly in love, but it’s really just knowing how to be where your feet are. It’s learning how to take care of yourself, how to make a home within your own skin. It’s learning how to build a simple life you are proud of. A life most fully lived is not always composed of the things that rock you awake, but those that slowly assure you it’s ok to slow down. That you don’t always have to prove yourself. That you don’t need to fight forever or constantly want more. That it’s ok for things to be just as they are. I too went through a very horrible dark space this winter and on top of it had a car accident and just now I'm crawling out of the emotional hole I've been in. I think everyone has moments or phases of self doubt and compare themselves and feel unsure and that’s part of being human I think. what I’ve found helpful is finding that core piece of yourself that knows deeply that you are special and have worth and that nothing can change that, not even your thoughts, and just lean into it as much as possible even if that piece feels so far away. I try to nurture myself when i can and try to remember that life isn’t that serious, I can dance and joke around and just be here and enjoy it. Hope you’re feeling a bit lighter with the arrival of spring!

I am a photographer and I absolutely love your aesthetic. I find you so inspiring. I had wished to create something like you have created here when I was younger (I'm 56) but never could get myself alone and away from the noise of cities and pressure to dig deep and trust myself. You have missed nothing and fed us all so much. I understand about comparing yourself. It's a karmic load from earlier generations. I hope you can shrug it off quickly. It's a burden you don't need to carry. You are both physically and spiritually beautiful. You are one of a kind. You set a new standard. I think you know that at your core. I am certainly not judging her, she is a remarkable young lady. She was used to being free could go on a trip even in winter if she wanted to she now feels confined to her small home it gets to her. She had a life change it takes adjusting to it isn’t always easy. I love admire everything about her. She has many followers we feel the same way. She has had a great influence on the lives of people of all ages. We are all human beings. We don’t all have the same body chemistry. She had a difficult winter adjusting to it. My dear young lady with an old soul--I am 75 years old and grew up on a farm with just enough to keep us sheltered and fed. I now have a beautiful new condo to live in. I will never forget my childhood feeling that I longed for and lacked nothing, though looking back I had nothing but family and love and nature. Do not compare, as we all have our own journey to make. You are lovely inside and outside, and so creative. If you were to poll your audience, most would be envious of your lifestyle and willingness to challenge yourself. You can be proud of yourself and of course love your uniqueness. You are precious. Some tips for sewing improvement:
1) For the gathering make sure to use two parallel rows of gathering stitches and have the final stitches fall in between those two. Extra points if you steam the gathering in to place before attaching. This will help it all look a bit more even.
2) some of the dress hems seem longer in the front than the back. After making a dress but before hemming the skirt hang it on a dress form or hanger for one to two days. The material will stretch in certain places due to the direction of the weave. After hanging even out the hem.
3) if I make a pattern for the first time I make a mock-up (first try) out of old bedlinnen from the thrift store. This way you can save the more special fabric. The mock-ups become pajamas, gardening clothes, selvaged for a next mock-up or cut into squares for kitchen roll.
Overall though, your dresses look wonderful! And try not to think of home-made as something negative. it's an amazing feeling to be able to wear something home made. the little mistakes make it so much more special and distinguish the garments as home made! ❤
Great ideas here! I want to learn how to sew better but I'm a visual learner. Do you know of a video that really shows the gathering technique you are describing? I have old bedsheets I've been saving specifically to create patterns with that actually fit me but the sewer I know only knows the most basic of things so that's all I know. You describe things so well.

You do t need a big house and luxury items. I grew up in a 10,000 sq foot home and had the golden spoon in my mouth. I was bored and unhappy and I didnt have a lot of friends either because my father wanted to have friends of successful stature. I would give anything to have your life. I bought a house in Waterville Washington with my long term girlfriend and it’s so quiet here. The small town living and overlooking wheat fields. I absolutely love it. You’re about 3 hrs away from me. You should be so blessed to have rivers, mountains, fields to see each morning.You can’t put a price on that Isabel. You live an amazing life hun. Agreed. I once had a family member who wouldn't even speak to you if you weren't a "celebrity" or "famous" and that caused so much "pain and suffering" amongst the siblings. I am learning SOOOOOO much from you. You continue to be a compass for me as I transition from a life in corporate, once living in these fancy homes you speak of, to a simple, peaceful, purposeful life, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Isabel, the reason I watch your channel is because you are different and it's beautiful. Your talent with cinematography transports me to a calm and beautiful place. It's okay to want the big home with the bathroom someday; just remember that the people with the big home and bathroom sometimes wish for a simpler life with less stuff in a tiny home in the mountains. It’s funny to hear you talk about idealizing other people’s lives. I found you very recently and have been binge watching all your videos and I have been idealizing YOUR life. I got to feeling a bit stressed actually that I felt this inner calling so strongly to try to replicate what I see you have created with your life. I felt like I could never do it, but the pull feels so strong to live more simply and close to nature. I have been knitting, learning to sew, and making music trying to slow down and remember that peace comes from within. When I heard you talking about how once you moved there from the city, you still felt in many ways the same inside, it all clicked for me. Dreams are important, but that need for “something else” is usually not what we think it is. Its inner peace and a clear mind filled with gratitude no matter where we live or what our lifestyle is. In my 20’s I lived in an extremely tiny apartment on my own. Now I’m much older and live in a large house with a lot of land and I can honestly say that my happiest time was that little apartment. It was cosy, simple and low maintenance. Bliss! The bigger the home, the more cleaning and maintenance is needed. Enjoy the simple times, they’ll be the memories you’ll cherish.

One of your best videos ever. I especially loved everything you did and said as you made the bowtie pasta bowl. Then, it got better as you talked about being grateful for making it through the winter and then I remembered the dresses (lovely!) and why and then how you made them. Oof. I don't usually comment and just enjoy your videos from afar, but you really got the tears flowing in my eyes with what you were saying at the end of this video. I look at your life and compare mine (which I believe is a very natural human thing to do) and I feel exactly how you said you've been feeling. Sad, depressed, uninspired, wondering why I'm even here or trying to do anything at all. It was a good reminder that we really know nothing about other people's lives and this all is such a parasocial relation far from reality. I longingly dream of everything you have - assuming it's better than anything I have - and yet at the end of the day, we feel the same. So maybe I should take a step back and be more grateful for all the amazing things I do in fact have.

The words you spoke at the end of the video really made me inspired. This past winter has been a really dark and difficult time for me too and I can definitely feel what you were saying. I right now am fighting against all those thoughts and trying to feel and release all that is keeping me down but it's been very hard and tiring, and I still have some months ahead before I can change how I'm living.
It really comforted me hearing you talk about the fleeting nature of life and time, and how everything is temporary.
It's been really helpful to really look at other people and not only at what they post on social media, and realizing how each and everyone of us has similar struggles. How everyone is or has been as lost and useless as I feel right now. I like to think about how we are all still kids trying to learn and live in a world that is immensely bigger than us.
I also really wanted to thank you for every video you've made, I've been following since when you first moved into the mountains. And I've always admired you for how brave and hardworking you are. With every video you've always helped me remember and reconnect with what is truly important in life. Really, thank you for your work and I really hope you can enjoy this warm season and all of the coming ones.

Isabella, NOOOOO, you do NOT want a big house. We left a large house that's impossible to keep clean and my kid's escaping to their bedrooms and getting distant from us. We moved to a really small cabin with a lot of land and it was the best decision for us all. I'm not struggling to keep a house clean and my family is getting back to being close and doing things together again.
Your dresses are all so beautiful and the one you said you liked the least was actually my most favorite one. The last one, the green one with the white shirt was my 2nd favorite. I really want to get back to sewing and making my own dresses and for my daughter too. Love this life you have been blessed with. I admire you and Logan for all you do. You have a beautiful life.

I had a really hard winter season and a really hard and traumatic year. I can relate so much to that feeling of self-hate, lacking inspiration for life and art, and wondering if it will ever go away. I am also melting and awakening with spring, and remembering my strength and light. Thank you for your authenticity, and beautiful capturing of nature and life in the mountains. I dreamed of living in the mountains and just recently moved to Vancouver, BC Canada. I think the hardest thing is when you are living everything you wanted and still feel depressed, it feels like a personal failure. But like the seasons, we have our phases. Gratitude may come easier sometimes than others but we try all the same

We may believe that living life to the fullest is seeing every country in the world and quitting your job on a whim and falling recklessly in love, but it’s really just knowing how to be where your feet are. It’s learning how to take care of yourself, how to make a home within your own skin. It’s learning how to build a simple life you are proud of. A life most fully lived is not always composed of the things that rock you awake, but those that slowly assure you it’s ok to slow down. That you don’t always have to prove yourself. That you don’t need to fight forever or constantly want more. That it’s ok for things to be just as they are. Little by little you will begin to see that life can only grow outward in proportion to how stable it is inward - that if the joy is not in the little things first, the big things won’t fully find us. I think everyone has moments or phases of self doubt and compare themselves and feel unsure and that’s part of being human I think. what I’ve found helpful is finding that core piece of yourself that knows deeply that you are special and have worth and that nothing can change that, not even your thoughts, and just lean into it as much as possible even if that piece feels so far away. I try to nurture myself when i can and try to remember that life isn’t that serious, I can dance and joke around and just be here and enjoy it. Hope you’re feeling a bit lighter with the arrival of spring!

Aw, sweet Isabel. You are such a jewel. I have watched all your videos since the beginning and I'm always grateful for the break from my life and to journey a bit with you on Sunday. I am a photographer and I absolutely love your aesthetic. I find you so inspiring. I had wished to create something like you have created here when I was younger (I'm 56) but never could get myself alone and away from the noise of cities and pressure to dig deep and trust myself. You have missed nothing and fed us all so much. I understand about comparing yourself. It's a karmic load from earlier generations. I hope you can shrug it off quickly. I just have to say that I cried a lot at the end of your video when you said that there is no hope and everything is bleak and horrible, and then the flowers bloom.
