Although rubysilver sells for more because of the use of it in fighter and cleric armor, it’s not necessarily better. It just serves to make different types of armor. The cobalt armor has similar equivalencies of armor and it’s the stat rolls that make them good or bad
Well, Rubysilver has slightly better armor rating and often has one more slot for stat rolls. That being said, cobalt is VERY close in strength to rubysilver yet is much cheaper. It could be a valid strategy to sell the rubysilver ore but buy cobalt ore and make gear from that
Tip I use: If you are able to, jump on the ore (or position as close to having your back against a wall). Now you should be able to look around much better
Mining speed is indeed based off of resourcefulness meaning Cleric would be the slowest. However, mining speed is irrelevant if you are not able to extract successfully. As explained in my best class vid, Cleric is the easiest class for new players, so this video was made with that in mind. You won't mine as fast, but you will extract successfully with the ore much more frequently 👍 Also Ranger has the highest base resourcefulness at 25 followed by Bard at 20. Rogue Resourcefulness is 15, same as Fighter.
@@GaroShadowscaleBold That is interesting if those numbers are true. That definitely wasn't true in the past. rogue was far above all other classes. I know in previous tests I would run rogue on the dungeon map and mine there and get all the ore before I had to worry about the circle then just hide and wait for an exit.
the lower left side of the map is the best mining spot I rarely see people there. ive had games where I make it out with 10 cobalt and rubysilver each just from hangin out down there lol
My algorithm has been suggesting a lot of low-sub channels with DnD videos, and so far they have all been pretty bad. Pleasantly surprised with this one, really great production value! You'll be 5 digit subs in no time :)
Cleric is the go to class for sure for this, but I have wondered about rogues or classes with more interaction speed. I wonder if they mine a lot faster or not.
rouges the best besides bard to mine, however rogue is the squishiest. my path is usually hit the nodes and clear out the area where the gate is to get a free extract.
Ahh ok thanks for the info guys. I might have to try out the bard but I am dog with them so maybe rogue is the way to go. At least I can stealth to de aggro and double jump mobility lol@@ThePapicito
Yes mining speed is tied to the resourcefulness stat, so clerics mine the slowest while rangers mine the fastest. However, no matter how much gold you make, it won't matter if you don't extract successfully. Cleric is a safe class to play with all the healing, and it is much easier to extract with your loot
so for rogue honestly i think the best way is being level 15 it dramatically changes once you have all the needed perks. buy some cheap green resource or movementspeed gear and you are literally FLYING @@TheKickingPanda
@@GaroShadowscaleBold no the ore is more consistent and will average out to more money. However, if you wanna gamble, getting light foot boots with a good roll will make way more money.
25g per run adds up quick when you start from scratch.... extracting doing this with a low lvl cleric with no gear is nearly impossible as you will run into some play ers.
That's why I said to buy the pickaxe after the player feels more comfortable after having some practice with extracting. And I beg to differ about low level ungeared cleric. Sure, if you run into some super geared player, there's only so much you can do, but that can be said for any class. Cleric is the most forgiving and new player friendly class because of all the healing and can still stand toe-to-toe with most classes 1v1
the higher tier pickaxes don’t do anything special when it comes to mining so no reason to get them really, i feel like this is something they’d change in the future tho cuz their is basically no reason to get them
Is this really worth it when you they only sell for 20-25 but the traders take 15g per trade anyways? I guess if you manage to trade in bulk. I just question how effective it is. Given the trade cost, time, and the cost of pickaxes.
alt + left click? I'm not sure if I tried that one, but someone else here commented that even just normal left clicking items while selling in a shop puts the items up for sale 😅
@@GaroShadowscaleBold left click doesn't work for me for some reason I have to use alt left click to throw stuff in the collector Also really liked your videos on cleric very nice
Pickaxe rarity only effe ts the price they sell to the trader for currently. It doesnt even do more damage at higher tiers if you swing it as a weapon. Also ranger is the best miner currently due to resourcefulness stat.
Ranger mines the fastest, yes. I still recommend Cleric for new players due to all the healing. While yes, you won't be able to mine nearly as fast, you will be much more likely to actually extract alive with the ore and other loot
This is true. Clerics are the slowest at mining. However, for new players, that is a reasonable price to pay for a much higher extraction rate. As explained in my best class vid, cleric is going to be the easiest class for new players to extract with by far. It doesn't matter how much rubysilver or cobalt ore you mine if you die before being able to extract with it. HOWEVER, if you are more comfortable with the game and can extract often with other classes too, you can run the same exact route and definitely mine more! I just make these guides from the perspective of helping new players out 👍
If you're only surviving in 1 out of 10 of your raids, I would recommend avoiding the pickaxe purchase and mining and instead just focus the jewelry running route I mention at 2:06. You'll need to practice to get the hang of extracting alive. Maybe I can help? What exactly is causing you problems in your runs? AI? Other players? Traps? Difficulty finding extracts? 🤔
@@GaroShadowscaleBold Hey! your videos have helped me a lot, trying to focus on the jewelry route for now until I get to know the map better and feel more confortable. Now surviving much more, I am killing rogues/wizards even some barbs/fighter here and there. I prefer to initiate combat so i can get there with buffs and use Judgement while approaching, this way i can win a lot of fights. If they get me by surprise or without buffs, I probably will die, i dont find the time to put buffs while fighting or use Judgement. Anyhow it has helped me improve a lot, so thanks!
You shouldnt really be losing that often as a cleric in goblins. You naturally out sustain everyone and take most fights at full health vs most others being weakened. Id recommend taking the time to actually buff up before fights, and never stay to fight when your buffs go down or you get ambushed. Youll get the pacing eventually.

Rogue can mine faster, and Ranger can mine the fastest, however the amount of ore you get doesn't matter if you can't extract alive.
