It takes about half a second to re-arm Dont try to fight someone holding a longsword with a mace, arming sword and ESPECIALLY not falchion. U get oarry riposted and you will lose that fight. Many enemies like wraiths and skeleton chanpions can be killed with longer range weapons by climbing on non breakable object. Try to get to zone and clear areas, then keep control ofnyour territory untill you get atleast a portal. In teams try to defend it till you get more. In solos try to gatekeep it and getting the portal to be left behind jn the darkness is great. Just pop a hp potion and walk to it later, nobody is finding it if u dont open it. Always know where there is an open door you can retreat to and close behind you. Lanterns and explosive bottles hurt a lil when hit on someone. But hurt like a bitch if u walk over the left behind fire, throw it behind ppl or in doorways when running away. Never chase rogues after theyve closed the door behind them, its always a bait. Taking that risk actually made this into one of my best runs in terms of money i made, so for sure, Dying=Learning and thats probably the best advice for new players, dont be afraid to lose as you might actually win and that victory will feel amazing.

As someone who just got into the game with the Early Access, I feel like if you have a tight budget for purchasing vendor stuff, weapon>boots>healing>all other equip. Starter weapons kinda just feel bad for damage, and boots just flatout give move speed which makes everything much easier. Otherwise, I try to bring as little in with me as I can, just because it's almost more mentally freeing to have very little investment in each run. It's easier to make mistakes and learn when I'm not so worried about losing what I brought, but also while bringing enough to not be hopeless. Grey Falchion's a real mvp for me.
