I really enjoyed the video, Frank. I think my favourite thing about your videos is that you focus so much on the adventure. Looked like a great time, from the rapids to the sandwich to the beers. I enjoyed the podcast bit at the end, too! #getthisbread
@fishhandsfranky hey Franky, hunting starts Sept 1, so I think interests might change. My oldest wants to hunt ducks this September, and we'll want to get some pheasant and grouse too. I'll probably keep the rod in the truck during hunting camp but likely my fishing season will wind down until we are back on the ice. Gotta fill the freezer... meat prices are crazy!
Just came across your channel and really enjoy the content! Very well put together all around. Do yall live in Missouri or just travel here often? Was wondering if youve ever hit any of the more northern areas of our smallmouth areas? I live up in Lincoln county and know of two great smallmouth creeks in our county and a few more north of bowling green up in pike and ralls counties....i havent tried the salt river yet for smallies but ive caught a few unintentionally. New sub here ✋️
Welcome to the channel! I live here in MO. Seems as though we are blessed with good smallmouth water wherever there’s a spring and some warmer water temps combined. I’m pretty careful about disclosing exactly where we are on any given outing. Exploring new water and trying to get to know a place for the first time really is the best part of what we do. Fly fishing is problem solving. I think that’s why I love it so much.
@fishhandsfranky yea I agree...ever since I moved from Northern California up by Susanville and Janesville I kinda got away from fly-fishing... I miss the Brooks and the cutthroat the most I think of any fish up there ..... if you travel up this way give the creek that runs through Ranacker C.A. in pike co. a shot I landed a 23" last year down by the highway bridge
@fishhandsfranky there is a lake that is a must for fly fishing for giant cutthroat I believe you guys would fall in love with in Northern California....it was my absolute favorite....it's called Echo Lake...give it a look and I'll bet it may end up on your list of must see fisheries! Stay blessed!
Although the tanic water looks like a good marinade for your sandwich, I’m not entirely sure you should dunk it. Probably why it was soggy, give Cody a break would’ya!

@@DCOutdoors love your ice fishing videos. Still remember how creepy it was hearing the ice crack in the middle of the night.
I WAS PART OF THE FOUNDING MOMENTS FOR THIS 😩
It’s okay, we all make mistakes. Did you say steak?
