    I bought these fully expecting I would return them because I didn’t think the price could be justified. BOY was I wrong. The fact that they turn off when not in use makes them last forever without having to put them back in the case. I have the white smoke and they look great with my earrings. Plus they’re great for people with anxiety, to just take the edge off in a crowded room to play some calming music but you can still hear your conversation partner. I will say after several hours I do start to feel a little discomfort but much less than my other buds. And agreed, I have the Shokz OpenRun Pro, Shokz OpenFits, Linkbuds and more and the sound quality for an open style is unmatched.

    Airpods pro causes head pressure even with noise cancelling off. The Bose ultra open is really good because there is no feeling of head pressure or stuffiness and the sound is good enough to be enjoyable

    I've aways been a evangelist for open ear buds, with innovative design, I've owned the Xperia Ear Duo, the Sony Linkbuds and now these Bose Ultra Open. This is the future, a true all-day, immersive wearable. Hands down the best earbuds I've tried, my ears feel naked without them on.

    @4:20 "not fashion" But people happily wore Apples AirPod that looked like you had a q-tip hanging out of you ears. I have the sport open ear from Bose and when you have kids and wife calling you (in the home) open ear is critical. Maybe I'll get these for Christmas.

    I own them and love them because I still hear surrounding, don't have this isolated feeling, and since I have ear problems (Tinnitus), because they are not in the ear direct, music does not hurt my ear anymore. Most of the time I use them for phone calls. Great product

    I love the clip on design, since the hook design most jogging earbuds have gets in the way of glasses and facemasks. +1 for physical buttons too.
    I can't wait to see clip ons for all sorts of earbuds, not just open ear. I can see it being a great way to doubly secure a more traditional sport earbud instead of the usual hooks or horns which can be uncomfortable depending on your ear type.
    As is, I wonder if it would preserve my hearing better by just wearing 1 normal earbud at lower volume, vs 2 open ear at higher volume (to compensate for the ambient noise).

    I’m usually very careful and picky with my tech, and I have to say, I’m really surprised by your positive review. Although these looked like a solid option from a reputable brand, after using them myself I’m extremely disappointed. Unless you’re in a perfectly quiet room, these don’t come close to the brand’s usual standard. The comfort isn’t on par with over-ears, the Bluetooth connection is unreliable and clunky, and the sound quality is far below what you’d expect from Bose. At lower volumes, the sound is decent, but only if you're in a silent space and this is just not realistic.

      Hi! In the world of open buds, I haven't tried a pair thars more convenient and sounds as good as the bose ultra opens but open design will never be the same as closed over ears especially with anc. It's really dependant on your personal needs.

I work where I do need to hear, listen, and talk to people and I’m currently using the QC Ultra Earbuds, having only one in at a time and constantly taking the one I have on, on and off, on and off. I've just got myself a pair of Huawei FreeClips, and I am surprisingly pleased.
    I have the Shokz Open run, Sony Linkbuds, but these beat them hands down. They're more comfortable with better bass. The Shokz are great, but these have a very small charging case, which means being able to top up on the go, and they use a non proprietary USB C charging cable. They also have multi connect. I gave an online class with them, and I was happy with how well they performed. I had them on for about 9 hours straight, playing mostly low volume background music and an hour of talking.
    Sadly, I believe you can't get the Freeclips in the U.S, because they seem like a nice alternative from the Bose ones.

    Owned a Plantronics wired headset with a very similar design that had a bud end that sat inside your ear with a rubber hook that would go around the earlobe. That design could easily be brought back by one the companies but in a wireless version. I agree that the price point for these should be $150.00 not $300.00.

    • @Muiscfromthealps
      @Muiscfromthealps 7 месяцев назад

      @@TheFrenchGlow hi thanks for the reply. Yes am using Samsung buds live for some years now. It doesn't go all the way inside ear canal. Just resting a little on the edge of the canal but not going inside. 12 mm drivers, air vents, bass ducts help compensate being an open earbud. Plus on full volume whether on the bus or out and about in the city, it performs like a normal in earbud. ANC not wow but does a good job with loud engine noises or airplane noise. If medium volume you can sort of hear people talking whom are loud and low frequency sounds like screeching brakes of the train etc. Overall am satisfied with it but comfort is questionable sometimes. It does tend to pop out sometimes and you need to adjust it sometimes as it's quite big and won't go inside ear canal so depends on your movement etc. So not completely secure. So yeah am in the market for better open ear buds but needs to perform same as buds live and to have better comfort. Another plus side sounds like over ear headphones and I can hear cars passing so for safety that's good.

    Hello, I'm an audiobook listener and don't listen to music, so I always use only one earbud. For me, the MOST IMPORTANT feature is not comfort, not sound quality, but the ability to fully control the earbuds using only one of them when the other is in its case. This means volume control, power on/off, and possibly noise canceling must be possible on each individual earbud. Do you know of any Open Earbuds that work this way?
