Paid to import the Freeclip into the US and love them. Took a little work to set up the app but got it working and they are so, so comfortable and phone calls sound great.
Agreed, returned my bose opens because nobody could hear me on calls and I use these while working 2 words - Huawei website and a VPN with other country selected
I wear behind the ear hearing aids and these are the only real option for me to use ear buds. Thank you so much for doing this, it is so valuable to my specific use case. I have the soundcore but they are a but pinchy and this gives me information around the alternatives.
Great video! Huawei free clip is the best at everything. They have become my favorite pair, I’m using them more than my AirPods Pro mainly because of how comfortable they are….its like you weren’t wearing anything. It is nice to see Huawei coming back with innovative hight quality products.
Recently purchased the QCY Crossky C30s and just love them. The clip style solves the fit concern for eyeglass wearers and these provide excellent sound. Couldn't be happier. Around $30 on Amazon
Great video guys really appreciate the lengths that you went to to test the different earbuds. I was on the Bose camp but looks like I might be saving bit of cash
I know this is a couple of months old now but I bought the Freeclip here in the UK in April and love them. I wear one every day while working. Not the greatest sound in the world but decent enough and so comfortable. Also the fact that that there's no left and right means when one dies I can charge it and just use the other one in the same ear.
I think aftet watching many reviews of these products and having the Bose Ultra Open earbuds myself, I think it's true how inconsistent the sound quality will be depending on the shape and size of our ears. I actually found the treble to be very sharp on the Bose to where I have to lower it doen to -6 at times, (although the Bose Ultra Open Auto EQ preset in apps like wavelet fixes that for me but then makes it sound a bit too dark without addition adjustments) I'm definitely curious to give the Huawei Freeclips a try though, but I've already grown very comfortable with the fit of the Bose and I'm still happy with them at the end of the day
I find the Bose have a very nice balanced sound and the immersion mode is fantastic. It really feels like the sound is in front and around you instead of in your head. With a laptop it is like having really good speakers that no one else can hear. Great for TV watching too.
So I owned both and returned the Bose in favor of Free Clips Bose sounded realllly good in immersion mode However Huawei is like 90% as good but I use these for calls more than music - and on my S23 I can use the eq on my phone to dial sounds to my ears Freeclips are solid for calls
Love the Huawei FreeClip, i am in my scarf, hijab and it stays there full day, and i just love how my 2 phones can connect in 1 earphones. Im literally watching movie in 1 phone and same time i get the ringing from other phone while video is playing on my other phone.
Guys, that's a good video and test of this open buds. I am using the Huawei FreeClip also for work via MS Teams - but with my laptop is the bluetooth range too low, so I am connecting it via the iPhone and the Teams app.
Have had all 3 of these for several months now and agree with everything you say. Probably the Bose would be my favourite except that it could be louder. The Soundcore is too hard to get on my ears. Huewai rules though👍🏼
Respect to you guys for being one of the few bosses that review Huawei. It is insane how so many reviewers will review spoundpeat but not huawei. I do think a very soft noise cancelation could have been useful (like the old samsung live buds). But, the consumers would cry about it not beijg actual noise cancelation.
I love the c30i. Budget friendly, sounds great if you're not picky, and very comfy for small-medium ears. Wouldn't recommend the c30i for peeps with wide ears tho, it kinda squeezes your anti-helix and that's where the discomfort starts.
Yup. The only major thing that the app gave me was updates for volume control (which are experimental). If you have phone where you can restrict permissions then I’d say after the update you don’t need the app. Scratch that. I’ve been using the buds without the app for a while and they did everything I needed them to. However if you have security concerns, remember that there were ‘hardware’ concerns that the US had with Huawei, not software so take that into account.
I can only compare the HUAWEI clips to my Bose Quite Comforts and they are not as good, BUT I really like the sound and they are half the price. If I had the Clips I probably wouldn't pay the extra for the Bose. I bought them not expecting much (no idea why I bought them), but the sound is lively and I think they are a good solid purchase.
Which one is the overall winner for music , microphone call quality between the Bose and the Huawei ? I can't decide I love the look of the Huawei :( but is the music sound quality is bad? Which one is the best between both pleaseee help
I have tested all three. Indeed, Huawei is the most comfortable, but it has fallen from my ear twice; luckily, it landed on my shirt. The Bose is mediocre, and the microphone quality is subpar. The Soundcore can be quite uncomfortable for those with larger ears, particularly when adjusting the buds lower to find the sweet spot. Ultimately, I decided to keep only the C30i and Huawei. The Huawei would be perfect if it featured a more secure clip to prevent such easy drops. Additionally, the Huawei's volume control does not work for me, even after updating both the software and firmware, and customer support was unable to resolve the issue.
Concerning the volume issue with Soundcore, it's reasonable that low volume has been noted when the buds are positioned high, as observed in your video. Adjusting their position to sit lower can markedly enhance the volume, even amidst loud surroundings. This is a frequent oversight, not unique to your review, since other reviewers have reported similar experiences because they wear the same position as yours.
Great review guys. These style are not on my radar though. A wired headset you guys should check out the new Sennheiser HD490 Pros. I have been extremely happy with mine. Highly recommended (for a review..?) keep up the great work y’all do. Nobody does reviews like you two dudes from the Netherlands (gods country) Peace ✌️☮️
The Freeclip has a feature that the others don't have: SOUND CANCELLATION: it plays an inverse track outward so that any sound that gets leaked gets cancelled out. So even when you're really close to the Freeclip, you don't catch much second hand sound. I own a pair and the leakage is not nearly as bad as on the Bose (which I also own).
You’re spot on with everything, but for my ears, I find that the Bose Open Ultra does goes a lot louder than the Huawei FreeClips. Around 75% or higher, the Huawei FreeClips start to compress, and the mid-bass is dramatically reduced to allow higher volumes. You can achieve the same loudness at around 60% with the Bose Open Ultra without compression of the mid-bass.
PSA : I don't think you guys mentioned it in the video but there is a device list in the Huawei app to continue multipoint . You can use the app to connect to any previously connected device and also you can set a preferred device that takes priority when using multipoint
@@DHRME it's inside the ai life app. Same with all Huawei wearable devices . Maybe you don't have the correct version of the app? Remember the version in the app store is out of date and you have to get the version direct from the Huawei website.
I had 4 Bose products now. I love Bose. But now Bose are more and more expensive , and they charge extra money for wireless charging case which is unacceptable for me. I brought Airpod Gen1, Airpod pro 1, Airpod pro 2 for my wife. after that I brought her Huawei lipstick which I think is the best quality earbuds ever. Few months ago, I brought her Huawei freeclip. She loves it. and never goes back to other earbuds. Bose open with extra wireless charging case is 450CAD(379+69), Freeclip is 260CAD(always on specail price) on Amazon. Huawei is big winner. Now we finally find a product which is cheaper and better. My wife always wear 1 earbud, sometime listen to music, sometime watch youtube, and sometime just put on the ear. so when she lost it, she doesn't know when it happened. With Huawei Freeclip, she can wear all day. it will not fall.
