Great video. I never noticed these neat repurposed boxcars, and their technology is so innovative that I'm surprised more class 1s aren't using them, especially if they could effectively replace DPUs. Also, nice to see that the blue background is the same one from Unbuilt.
Nice video! Very interesting, I haven’t seen or heard about these rail cars until this video so it was nice learning and getting to understand what these rail cars do for CN. 👍
I'll have to be on the lookout for these in the area. With fall coming I'll soon have easier unobstructed views of the line through Southwestern Ontario.

I haven’t seen any, but the only CN Line near me is the CN Omaha Sub, and L572/L571 isn’t long enough to need something like that. The longest L572/L571 I’ve heard of was when they bought 2/3s of the Dash 8 deadline out of Coucil Bluffs (rip).
These cars seem to collect in our south yard in P.G. but I have not seen them on the line between P.G. and Rupert. Great vid I don't miss the CN school at Transcona or the Transcona Inn and their powdered freakin eggs for breakfast.
As a railroader, born and raised in Winnipeg actually, your videos are certainly not mediocre. This is quality stuff! But I too am self-deprecating, so keep up your mediocre work 😆
Wouldn't want one of those red cars marshalled ahead of heavier cars. Run-in; (or buff/aka compression forces) from the heavier cars can cause derailment of the lighter car.

Come for the train facts, stay for the laughs
Fun video! I'll keep watch for these contraptions down south here in Minnesota! 😁👍

I’ve been reading about trains since 1981 and I’m learning something in this video I’ve never heard of before.

Thank you for this. I found it very educational. It would be cool if these cars opened the door for a return of cabooses.
Would suprise me if the number was upped after the runaway grain train 5 years ago
YAY TWR UPLOADED
CN really needs to stop using these instead they should tape ham sandwiches to the side of the train
You need a trophy for this comment 🏆
