    #sundaymailbox Can we advocate for advanced rappel mode? The current rappelling is very clunky. For example, sometimes you accidentally exit rappel when you were just trying to get very close to the roof or ground. An ideal advanced rappel mode would make you have to hold space bar to exit rappel.

    Finally. I’m tired of getting a perfect shot at an enemy only for them to only to lose 25 or half of their health just because of the random spread. I’m happy this is happening.

    For the rolling beach charge, kaid could be buffed so that he electrifies the metal beams in floors as well and mute is also a counter

    The patch notes does say: SHOTGUN DESTRUCTION
    Shotguns will now destroy wooden beams more reliably.
    This buff to them is probably a side effect of that.

    How about an operator who is a medic on attack.This operator will have two packs of healing that give players 45HP (No overhealth). The operator has to go to the teamate directly to give health and can also revive 50% faster as a passive.

    This was in the patch notes. When they said the shotgun destruction would be more consistent this is what they meant. They fixed shotgun wall destruction by making the reticles tighter.

    The gun attachment guy could give one buff to everyone gun in the game that is specially balance for that gun. So that everytime you see that guy on your team you can pick the operator you want for his ability. If the attachment doesn’t benefit you playstyle too much then you don’t pick it up

    Ive always felt that in any strategical shooter, shotguns are difficult in other ways. Since shotties obviously has less ranged potential you need to get up close. That DEMANDS traversing the environment in dofferent ways. You dont peek a hallway to hold a angle, you need to shorten the tange of the hallway. If you succeed in doing so then you have a reliable close quarter weapon. Especially in siege I personally have always felt that you either choose easier headshot oneshot with fast firing or long range weapons. Or you choose the close range regular oneshot that requires other playstyles. And so the improvement to consistency seems great. You could compare current live shotty inconsistency to, what if aitomatic rifles and smgs had a spread and shots wer’nt always landing were the pixels of your reticles are. It would be crucial.

    i'm down with that idea about operator that drops special ammo or upgrade, like add one special magazine of ammo and then when empty to switch to regular magazines, that will expand the game even more.

    On the breaching OP idea, I’d personally balance it by making it so that while damage extended out to normal breach round range to give it shield and gadget destruction utility, the actual opened area was only about as wide as the charge; thus with two you could make a vaultable hole, but with one you’d only be able to make a long murder hole.
    I.e: Hibana but for soft breaching

    The rolling breach charge could be made of smaller breach charges that go off in a sequence. The size holes they make could be larger than shotgun holes but smaller than sledge holes. The operator is 3 speed and should only have a max of 2 roll charges and their secondary are flashbangs and claymore. They could be given a M16A4 that is burst and semi only with damage; the other primary being the UMP so that their vertical play isn't too strong once they breached the floor. There's a few things that would keep the operator from being op. First, the roll should only be around 6-7 meters long. Rolling the charge on the floor is faster than dragging it across a vertical wall and if the charge was already rolled onto the floor/wall then the Op would have to roll it back up taking around 3-4 seconds while making a loud dragging noise. Mute devices would work on the entire roll if any of it is withing the device's radius. Then the charges would take around the time thermite charges explode to completely breach the floor. The important part is that the defense would be able to shoot the rest of the charges from under the floor if given enough time.

    Considering the fact that Rainbow isn’t a shooter that’s supposed to reward a sort of rushing meta. I think that shotguns performing more consistently and acting as a deterrent to said rushing, is fantastic. The fact that people are worried about getting crushed up close is perfect, that’s what you’re supposed to feel when you see a shotgun. Especially in such a technical game.

      FirstPerson Writer I’m sure Amaru would be fun to play but I don’t think she is going to be good in upper ranks. Her ability is only good at rotating across the map or going to grab a dropped diffuser, which makes her a very situational operator.

    I’ve had this operator idea for a while now so here goes, an IDF op who only had one reinforcement but it was throwable like kaid’s and indestructible.it could be thrown on hatch above the obj without them going above and could mess with hibana and thermite as well because I still feel they lack countering.

    The smaller the spread of shooties, the lower chance of a bad aimer to get a lucky oneshot, and the higher incentive to aim well. Damage faloff is what balances the shotguns to be low range. If the new spreads make shotties to strong, just make the falloff harsher to compensate.

    Maybe Ubisoft could add another customisation to the guns where you could pick between extended mags or quick reload mags based on different playstyles

    How about a attacking operator that is a hard breacher , and the way their gadget would work is that it would be a launcher type gadget , it shoots a chemical mixture or acid that corrodes and eats away at a reinforcement , and over time the section of the reinforcement that it hits justs melts away

    What if Ubisoft introduced an operator that could throw a small “censor” grenade into a room and it could scan the room for enemies? It could be thrown in like a normal frag and possibly have a sticky surface so it can be thrown on a wall. The attacker would also be able to charge it to decide how long they want it to be before it goes off similar to old ying. Vigil and mute could be counters.

    I understand for balancing purposes that shotguns cannot be snipers, but in real life you can still kill with a shotgun at around 50 yards with buckshot, and and with a slug probably 75 or more.

    They should make hipfire somewhat inconsistent and ads reliable from a range about that of a normal flight of stairs, for pumps only the semi should remain the spam machines that take a couple hits except at point blank

    As a shotty Smoke main, i think they just need to be more consistent. Can’t count how many times i have blasted people point blank and they have like 20 or less health, and that second shot would have been enough but since they had enough time to react, i ended losing the gun fight

    They should add another secondary gadget into the game. Simulated gunfire grenade. Or another operator whose primary gadget is a simulated gunfire grenade and they can choose what type of gunfire can be. It will also give off false threat detection

    Maybe along with the new offensive breaching operator they could also bring in a defender that had roll out mats than are bullet proof and breach proof. These could only be placed on the floor or on the ceiling above you (for ceiling the animation would include the setup of a set of step-ladders). @Matimi0

    the op's job in 10:24 could be done with fuze with the cluster charges. what I do on hedford is go 2 floors above and fuze the room and then the ceiling is open up. if that op is overpowered then fuze is over powered

    Sunday Mailbox: I would really love to have the M60 in Siege that would be so much fun! Especially with the 200 round belt mag, and maybe somehow incorporate it into an operators gadget like armour piercing rounds (I know this has come up before and I don't think it would be a good idea to have AP rounds to go straight through reinforcements, but maybe now the deployable shield has been buffed it could penetrate that?) or incendiary tracer rounds. What are your thoughts?

    #SundayMailbox How about a soft breacher who can roll out a breach charge on walls and ceilings. They have a certain limit on the roll, and can deploy it horizontally or vertically. This would allow for breaching a larger amount of the surface quicker. The roll would have a certain amount of hp and the operator cuts it off.

    What if for the rollout charge operator it worked like thermite, like you know where it will detonate, had a timer, and a very noticeable sound cue.
    Also, the metal beams were destroyed, making it easier for defense to spot attackers above them.

    Hi mat what would you think of this habana buff. I think that it would be really cool if you could customize habanas gadget so you could change the configuration of the pellets based on presets supplied by ubisoft. They have 18 pellets and You can choose how many pellets to shoot.

    I feel like the shotguns needed a buff. Using a shotgun should be a risk/ reward situation. Youre now more vulnerable at longer but more effective at shorter ranges. This then changes how you play certain objectives and operators

    I'm honestly fine with the changes to the shotgun, even if unintentional. Played w/ them on TTS, played against them, it feels better. Granted, getting killed by shotguns can be annoying, but getting killed in general is annoying.

    What if for the charge that goes across the floor, defenders could shoot out patches of the explosive so it would only open up sections that weren't shot

    What if they did add that 10m breach charge attacker but also a defender with some sort of gadget that could detect say vibrations of attackers placing breach charges or thermite charges and possibly even things like fuze charges to balance it out

    What do you think about about having an operator that can deploy "Hollow Point" or "Armor Piercing" rounds for their team in order to try and predict the enemy setup? Hollow points would do more damage to 1 Armor 3 speed operators and Armor Piercing would do more damage to 3 Armor 1 speed but they would lose damage against the wrong targets. 2 Armor would get no advantage or disadvantage. Here is the catch, you can only have 2 mags worth of total of ammo for the weapon you choose.

    Finka literally gives the attacking team, speed boost, less recoil, and extra health with a push of a button. Also can revive downed teammates from anywhere in the map. She makes the whole team better three times in one round. Who cares about extra magazines

    Question at 7:03 for reference. What do you think of a leveling up system to unlock attachments. Say you start out with the MP5 for Bandit. At 5 killed you get a sight. 20 kills you get a barrel attachment. Some of the attacents mentioned could be past 200 kills. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

    #SundayMailbox What do you think about an attacker like Valk where they can throw cameras around the map while still having access to drones, this way they can place cams in places where drones normally couldn’t be placed, so they can gather information better?

For example, he would be able to choose 3 cameras and would be able to see it on a screen that could be placed on the objective. This would save time and stop the noise of opening the observation tools.

    What do you think about adding an alternate gadget wall reinforcements where instead of being able to place a reinforcement on a wall you are able to take a panel and place it on any floor surface stopping certain angles down in to or from below the objective

    What about someone on defense who deploys a mesh like castle's barricade. It can only be seen through the closer you get to it feet poke out the bottom, and any rounds shot through it poke holes in it making it more see through as well as leaving a trail to locate the shooter from say a window from spawn. and melee will tear it open to run through!

    How about a defender that can lay down a Kevlar mat that can make a soft floor in breakable. I.e. on border you could place it at the double wall and prevent IQ/buck from taking out bandit charges from below. It could be destroyed with an explosive like an ash charge.

    What if there was a 3 armor 1 speed attacker with a battering ram that could go through a lengthy animation and bust open a sledgehammer size chunk out of a reinforced wall. He would have an LMG as his only option as a primary weapon and would have a big battering ram on his back. And/Or it could produce a larger size hole but require one operator to assist the new operator in making it that large.

    How about instead of an operator that blows open a 10 meter strip, the strip just mimics the sounds of footsteps of someone sprinting. Can be countered by Pulse and deploying it is as loud as razor wire

    I didn’t experience any frame drops in the mw alpha idk if it was just me but the getting shot around corners thing did happen once in a while
