    There’s nothing inherently wrong with generic remote start kits, especially on older vehicles, it’s the person who installs them that makes the difference. If it’s wired properly it will work just fine, a lot of people just cut corners or simply don’t know what they’re doing well enough to be doing jobs like this.

    The bigger problem is whoever installed the kit has a lack of ability or desire to do a quality job. Most times a failure related to an Aftermarket accessory is poor electrical connections. That said, Not all accessories are quality made

    Rule of thumb is to not work on somebody else’s hack job as a professional.
    You spent too much time on this haha

      So if I customer wants there truck fixed and this is the problem you're going to tell them you're not fixing it?

      I don’t want liability for whatever comes next.
      If you do niche work like this all the time then more power and money to you but most people would say hell no to that.
