Parts used linked in the description of the video!
I've watched this video like 9 times prior to get my radio and now that I'm setting it up I'm back again
This is my 4th time 😂
how did it go?
It worked great! My speakers aren’t working but the radio set up went really smooth!
just followed your directions on my daughters 14’ versa. Spot on. all we very smooth
thanks for the informative video 🎉
Very detailed, nice! Thank you! I came here to just find where you suggest connecting the ground and you did the full install with steering wheel controls, and splicing behind the connector. Very detailed.
And awesome, a local fairly youtube channel that is inline with my interests.
Thank you for the video. Seems like a very easy install for the DIY.
Nice video brother! Quick Question can I attach the blue wire from the antenna and the blue wire from the factory harness to the pioneer radios red accessory all together?
do the parts linked work only for this specific radio or will they also work for a pioneer?
Hey guys, looks like the link for the back up camera install is missing from the description. Thanks for the breakdown. Gonna try upgrading my 2015 soon.
Video will be available for you tomorrow. Check back again soon :)
Is there a replacement for the SWRNS-63U you would recommend I have a 2016 Versa I’m looking to upgrade.
Do you think that Crux harness will work with a 2016 Versa?
i have a question my 2014 nissan versa with a backup camera how do i keep that
What can i do if mine has a backup camera? Do i need to look for one that comes with one and just plug mine in or will any radio be able to support a backup camera?
The PAC adapter harness has two black wires, in the video one of them is termintlated in the radio harness, the other is terminated on the car's hardness with the set of 3 wires. On the PAC hardness, i cannot tell which black wire is supposed to be terminated on the radio hardness and which is on the car hardness. Would greatly appreciate if this could be clarified
Hello Provo Beast Audio... Excellent tutorial. But, where did you connect the Female 3.5mm Adapter (for SWC) shown in 11:56
Android cheap no name brand radios only have key 1 and key 2. So if you have a similar radio, you will need to cut off the 3.5mm plug and expose the red and white wire to connectors to key 1 and key 2. Then you have to manually program the buttons, one by one, in the settings of the radio. No name brands are cheap, but are a pain to install.
Is there a replacement for the pac C4RAD? I see almost every place doesn't sell them anymore
Hi, the link for recommended quality radio is down. Can you update that link?
Pls can you tell me the name and model number for that android system u just installed
I dont know what im warching this i dont have a nissan versa nor this radio
By any chance do you know which wires are for the microphone? I want to be able to use the factory microphone but I can't find any clear wiring diagrams. My car is a 2016 versa
@@jonaslira2979 not really, just ended up using the microphone that came with my radio. What I did find out is that the microphone connects to the Bluetooth module in the trunk (on the right side, almost directly behind the right tail light) and you need to feed it power (5v I think). Theoretically you can build a wiring harness to bring the wires to where the radio is but that was too much work for me lol
I have a Nissan versa 2012 sedan, will this work with it? Also trying to do the back up camera thank you! Good video
Yes it will. Parts linked in the description of the video.
Thank you very much! just ordered it I’ll see how it goes.
The USB retention cable listed in the description says for select GM/Chrysler vehicles, will it work with a Nissan as in this guide? It looks like a generic component so I would imagine it does?
It’s just a female mini usb to make usb A adapter so it will work just fine.
Can i put the stock 2017 versa naviagtion radio on this same model ??
After connecting the last 3 wires to brown purple and grey. I noticed all the steering wheel buttons register in the setup screen except and phone buttons and the volume down button? Any ideas? 2015 VERSA with the same exact parts in this video.
You need to install a Bluetooth bypass or “Bluetooth SWC retention”. It’s located in the back cargo area.
I have a question regarding your final wires that you soldered, the grey wire, the brown wire, and purple wire in your Nissan wiring, what are they for. Asking because my stereo has a different color code for key 1 and 2 wiring
brown wire is throwing me off
He commented that the 3 wires are for the steering wheel controls (volume up/down, source, hands free phone) . Reference approx. 12:50 on the video. Some vehicles can use an aftermarket pigtail to connect the steering wheel controls, but it appears that this isn't an option on the Versa, hence the need to strip shielding and tie in with solder. I hope this helps.
@@matthewpeterson3329it did. Got it to work down the line. Appreciate it
Can you do an Apple CarPlay install for Nissan versa
That's literally what we did in this video, yes.
My dad installed an android stereo looks similar to this one, to my Nissan versa 2013. The airbag light won't turn off now. No idea what to do now. The radio also turns on without the key inserted.
Wrong install parts used, and he tripped the airbag sensor which will need to be cleared at the dealer or an auto parts store.
Are these parts specific only to that no name brand? or is it a good general parts list if your changing your radio for that gen versa?
Install parts are good for any standard double din.
@@ProvoBeastAudio tnx
thx for the video.... i have a 2019 nissan versa..... the radio needs to be 7 inch? to fit correctly? or do i have other options?
Screen size is irrelevant as the dash kit used accommodates any size standard double din chassis (screen size varies). The biggest screen size in a double din is typically a 7", so if you wanted to go bigger, there are floating screen units and those usually have a single din or double din chassis anyways. So the sky is the limit.
@@ProvoBeastAudio thx thats all the info i just wanna hear
What about the factory amp and the 4 ohm factory speakers? Didn't have have problems there??
No factory amp in this trim.
Can you tell me an approximate cost for this? Parts and labor? I am trying to encourage my son to save up to do this himself to his 2013 Versa.
$250
$0 if you call me daddy
Do I need to use a steering wheel adapter if I have an Android head unit? I heard you don't but am unsure which cables to connect to key1 and key2
Hi, same question here. Did you solve it?
@@jvargasc21 Go to the 12:50 part of the video for instructions on splicing into steering wheel controls.
Can i use the CRUX SWRNS-63U for a 2015 versa?
What are the colors on the harness for the gray, white, and white black
Im considering this is album artwork displayed with spotify?
Via CarPlay and android auto, yes.
Can I use xdvd256bt Radio in my nissan versa 2013? thank you
Yes, the parts used work with any standard sized double din.
My son would not do the DIY, though. I’d imagine he would pay someone to do this. Any advice on price range and where do we go to find a shop that would do this? We are in Texas, so we can’t come to you!
Car toys will do it. With labour is probably 50 bucks
How do you know you will need all those harness adapters?
Depends on the features of your vehicle. If you want a more suggested parts list for your specific versa, send me a message on our facebook page and we can help identify the necessary parts.
My Nissan frame around the radio exactly like yours..im planning to buy Boss touch screen to improve my sound system instead of amp..i was confused about the size of the screen i want one like yours fit exactly in ..can i know the dimensions or the size of this touch screen?
One more question...i put 2 speakers each 160wat peak and 30rms in back doors i extended 0.5mm cables to the stereo..do i need a thicker cable or 0.5mm is enough to reach the maximum power?
The stereo im buying providing 55rms for each channel..is that mean i can't put the volume up to maximum?
Seriously i don't know if the speakers should be higher RMS or the stereo
Im new to all this car sound system
Dash kits fit standard size double din chassis units, regardless of screen size. Yes a boss will fit fine with the kit I used.
30 watts rms can easily be supported with 22 gauge wire. 18 ofc handles up to 100w rms.
@@ProvoBeastAudio thanx man i appreciate your replys it helped me a lot
Would this work on a 2007 Nissan Versa?
We have an OLD versa video on the channel.
Where are you located in Provo?
Nope, but we are in Utah. Feel free to send us a message on Facebook!
Im intimidated 😳😳
