I don’t even know how someone gets this good at drums and then has the rhythm and ability to write amazing drum patterns.
Matt's left has an interesting way of striking the snare with his left when he crosses over with his right hand on the hi hat.
i think its just the way he has the hihat set uh according to the snare, it does look a little "different" needs more power imo

@@jsraudio nah but his technique is poor the stick should follow in a straight line on from the arm in order to avoid injury and play more efficiently. He'd also be able to achieve a much larger dynamic range holding it the correct way. but again to each their own

Seeing as he isn't using his left wrist much, guess he's a self taught drummer? His skill is on point......
I think the only reason that he doesn't use his left wrist on snare strikes is for accent. Give a really defined snare pop that way. I do it all the time because it sounds awesome!

their music sounds so bad to the casual listener. i mean i understand the music/scene and i still cant get into it
Nor sure what you're babbling about lol, their music is very catchy & even poppy a lot of the time, should be fine for casual listeners unless they can't bear screaming at all
