I never realized that the outro is a syncopated hi hat. I thought it was straight 8th notes. Matt is so good at playing to the song but still displaying his skill.
Damian Pantucci I just went back to the original after watching this cause I thought the same thing. It still is straight eighth notes, you can hear it faintly. Guess he just wanted to switch it up for this playthrough

The way hols sticks are a bit odd for me but damn, he recorded bunch of albums with so many nice songs and still is the backbone of this band. Also he is very groovy and creative on those double pedal parts. He is really and inspirations to be a more musical drummer than a technical one.

Man really love crashing his ride cymbal instead of the right crash itself.
He's using a Zildjian 21" K Crash/ride, which ironically means it can be used as both a crash and a ride cymbal
