The children’s quarters in this always blow me away; they’re second only to Maple Manor, which payed homage to the forest and nautical themed rooms here and elevated them with astronomy and castle themed rooms too.

  • @Boethya

Stunning home! Perfect for a more posh character without it being a Castle. And it has a great size, sometimes some houses are just to big and yet empty..
I love that there are separate rooms for children, never understood why would you have a gigantic castle, yet your children sleep all in the same room without any privacy, I mean, technically speaking, they will grow up right? 😂

I avoided the vanilla version because it felt so...meh. The earlier version of this mod that you showed off previously got my attention but now it has become a must have. Honestly, I ran out of superlatives before you had made it to the kitchen! I love it when a modder truly understands the underlying mechanics of making a place feel real. The little things that tell you they actually invested thought into "if I really lived here how would I...." . Things like how to get running water in a log cabin without pipes, or keeping the heat in the oven with a door and all the other little "real" things that are overwhelmingly awesome in this house. Did you notice that the shelf in the kids room was a toy siege tower? I did; I want one. The guide to where things go for unique items is great. I dont know how many times I have wandered around seeking the unique display spot for an item. After three of four laps around the place just giving up and into a display case or general storage it goes with promises to put it where it belongs if I ever happen upon it. That is an uncomfortable reminder of my real life actually. Thanks Feb for bringing this mod in all its updated glory to us! The name of the mod is absolutely the truth. Well done modder!!!

Now this is a Lakeview home you can feel good about after you spend the time to build it. It kinda dictates what class of character will live in it but since I'm due for a family mage type I'll have to keep this one in mind... Love it, whole place is really pretty, there are mods for the Hearthfire homes on PS4 that makes them a bit better, one that turns the back room into the kitchen and another that expands the cellar, the kitchen one is for those who have not built up Lakeview Manor yet. Still this is way nicer of course though I like the vanilla Hearthfire Homes cellar included. This place though blows it all out the water very fancy but not too fancy which I really enjoy it's very cool.

Hey Febreth, I built an herbal alchemist style hobbit house where I live in Kentucky, USA, and it looks a bit like montage of Skyrim, 17th and 18th century times, Victorian and rustic decor. I do practical application herbal alchemy or so they call it in an old fashioned small laboratory I set up complete with old bottles, coffee grinders, mortar and pestles, classic retorts, and other glass equipment with bunson burners and alcohol burners. Touch Sherlock Holmes I guess in a hobbit style environment. I tell you, I get ideas watching your channel, kicking back in a Victorian chair warming by my wood stove with it’s window for firelight and enjoying my teas I work with as well. You inspire creativity and intelligent relaxation. Cheers dear lady!!!! Ahhh time for another video with you and time to put the kettle on. Cheers!

Omg that all sounds so fabulous. I'm an avid admirer of all sort of architectural styles from the simple Anglo Saxon roundhouse (which I wouldn't mind spending a few nights in just to say that I had - though the thought of spiders would surely drive me out) - to the high luxury of Art Deco and everything in between including high fantasy styles. If I had unlimited resources the Gods only know what I'd end up with - a real hodge-podge of hundreds of bits of inspiration taken from life, reading, gaming - it would be FABULOUS and unique!

@@FebrithDarkstar you know, I saw a cordwood roundhouse which I took the idea of cordwood slices and put them on the top half of my walls and made the bottom half look like mortar and rock with vinyl flooring on my wall bottoms and then separated the two halves with cedar half round slabs and around the top and bottoms with slabs and corners too. My shelves and loft ladder are slabs as well. I have faux English ivy vines and moss on cordwood slice wall top half and glow in the dark clay mushrooms and shelf mushrooms on middle slab on one wall, just above my diy glow in the dark green glass crystal chunk on a green marble round table stand in the corner next to my Queen Anne Victorian couch with matching chair. All this is right in front of my wood stove with fire glass window. I cook on that stove or sometimes on my camping burners in my lab setup on the other side of the hobbit hole. I think you would like this small but cozy place. I am trying out my RUclips channel now cause folks wanted to see the place. Hopefully I can get some fair videos out, cause right now they are not that great with a camera phone, but you have to start somewhere. The great Febrith Darkstar and the wonderful Cimbrer bushcraft channels are my go to for relaxation and inspiration. Tom is so cool and you and that amazing voice are like a great cup of British tea for this Kentucky man. Please don’t quit the channel, my lovely friend, cause trust me, without calm and intelligent stimulating channel like the both of you, pretty much all we get is........” hey guys, huh huh check my young silly self on my channel, huh huh, smash that like and subscribe button , blah blah blah.... hey grandma can you make me another grilled cheese , while I try to be cool on RUclips blah blah🤣. @@FebrithDarkstar Hey Feb! Thanks very much for your kind words. I still need to put dirt around the building to make it into a hobbit hill but I can show you the front of the building In my next video. I’m having to deal with a lot of family emergency right now, and unfortunately I have had some trouble with people trespassing at random. So I don’t live in the middle of nowhere unfortunately , but I’m a bit far from people. I have a few good neighbors that watch over my place. I built a house, and then build a Japanese small village on my property with hot tub house tea house two-story pagoda style, sauna building, Japanese gazebo, and garden shed, all in a Zen garden with a homemade pool with a Koi pond liner all with decks except for the sauna and shed, and all with metal bowed Japanese roofs. I don’t show them on my videos. I live in my hobbit building now because it’s cheaper and old world. Do you have a Facebook page I could connect with because I could show you the pictures if you like and we could chat. About the hobbit house, the outside is still a work in progress and it’s more like a construction zone, but it is a work in progress especially with everything going on and I’m working on it by myself. I will show you in a video what it looks like outside. Oh yes and I almost forgot I go by Brad. It’s great to know you all. I love your channel and the way you go about things and I definitely would like to do some herbal alchemy experiments on my channel but it’s winter time turning to spring and herbs are hard to find but I have a few tricks up my sleeve. I’ll send a few shout outs to you on the next few videos I do to advertise for your channel for you because people need to watch your channel if they like to relax and you have great content. Look forward to talking to you again and take care my friend.

I'm not sure when I tried this mod, but I know I tried a Lakeview As It Should Be mod, and I'm not even certain it was the same author or not. The upstairs was okay, but the main issue was downstairs in the smith area, there was this horrendous seam in the wall that you could physically get stuck behind, and it looked like a wall that was running through the forge itself. It may have been a conflict with Hearthfire Extended, I may not have done something right, but it happened both times I used it, so I gave up on it. I can't try this out again until I start a new game, because I already built Lakeview.

Have you ever taken a look at Dev Aveza - Tissendel's Interior SE ?
It's an interior enhancement mod with optional exterior modification to fit outside with the inside better. It has plenty of options for different character types and I saw in the comments that with a little work it can be made to work with LotD as well. I found it by accident when looking at Dev Aveza updates for LotD version. I came to see if you had made a video about it but couldn't find one, guess I'll have to test it myself first this time. I just made a character that it would be perfect for, especially if I can make it work with LotD.

As it should be is right! This is a great improvement to the basic home in hearthfire. Too bad it's not on ps4.

About the " Noble Skyrim " mods mentionned in the video is there a Heartfire category or is it in the Main Cities / Small towns and Villages category ? I have Noble Skyrim for Dawnguard DLC and Dungeons ( about Dungeons i have also a mod which expanded explorations in a real labyrinthic way for Bleak Falls Barrow , White River Watch , Ustengray for examples )

Im looking to revamp my lakeview manor with mods. But im doing a viking style true nord warrior character aaaaaand.....this home doesnt go i think. Shame coz its quite cool. And you did do another spectacular video showcasing it.
Maybe if i ever did a high elf character this place would fit very well.

Kk this might be a really stupid question but which 2 chests are u supposed to build there are 3 in the options a long chest a regular chest & a kids chest. I just don't want to build the wrong one. & it doesn't specify which 2 u are supposed to build.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm sorry to bother you with this message, I don't want it to sound like a spam XD But since I have no idea where I could ask you, I wanted to know if you'd like to test a home I'm working on... I still have to work on it for quite some time (maybe weeks). I would love if someone could give me a feedback before uploading it, so I could fix errors in time!
