OMG I have spent the last 2 hours watching other videos on this procedure.. that was after studying my user guide and going over and over and over, thinking I was a complete moron and getting very demoralized. After seeing YOUR video, it took me 4 entire seconds to thread my needle. Emily, thank you from the very bottom of my heart!!! Now I can continue with my next task, raising the bobbin. Hope it takes less than an hour. lol

When I saw the threader on the Singer I just didn't even try, until I found your video. I want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, for this excellent video. I got it now. I've been trying all this time to figure out how the auto-threader works! I consulted the owners manual. Nothing seemed to work. But, thanks to you and your video, I finally got it to work! Bless you!

OMG! OMG! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!! 😭
I hope you get to read these comments - you've helped so many people!
I spent 1.5hrs trying to thread my machine at the weekend & this is the only video I've watched that actually makes sense!
Naming the parts 'duck head' & 'beak' genuinely helps SO much & it also really, really helps to see you demonstrate when it doesn't work! Thanks for leaving that footage in :)
Sometimes it actually helps to see something go wrong & then go right because you understand it more - if that makes sense?!
Lol I was putting the thread between the 'claw' thing that comes out.. & thread tension is so important & rarely mentioned in manuals!
I almost threaded the needle myself too lol, but I was still determined to make it work - honestly seems way harder than just threading needle by hand **cries**
I also got so confused by having to hold the lever (with the duck head) down all the time - it's so tricky!
I'll shut up now, I could go on forever
    Thank you x Infinity!!

This comment are so much fun to read🤣 I got mine 9 yrs ago, a friend saw me going to cloth world in Portland,Or and asked me if I was making something, I wanted to make a baby blanket for my granddaughter, she asked if I knew how to sew, I didn’t even have a sewing machine, but I was going to get one and was going to learn, she said I have one that only goes straight, she said the technician where she took it was going to cost more than the machine, might as well buy a new one, she took it home, she was going to donate,ME! I took it home and it stayed in storage for 9 yrs, that granddaughter told me her wish , sewing machine, we started it up and it’s like new, it reset its self and wallah! But now I’m pulling my hair trying to learn, thank you! thank you! 1,000,000,000 thank you’s💐 happy sewing every one! My dream is to teach young ones to sew with thier parents, free of charge. A bond A love will last forever and it will be passed on🍎

TIP.... put on some glasses and take a good look at the needle. Once you have everything set and string in place.. peek and you will see a little wire like protrusion in the middle of your needle.. if that isn't lined up in your needle, it won't thread :). i noticed mine needed guidance every once in a while... thanks for the video.. you rescued me!

Emily, I have watched so MANY videos on this and yours is the VERY VERY BEST!!!! I like when you said "go over the duck's beak"... that really helps remembering to go over and not under. Also when pressing the white lever down, it was VERY INFORMATIVE when you said "pull it down even further"... that really helped... also when you talked about your problem with holding the thread too tightly... When one of the times it did not thread the needle, I like that you did it again! Showed us that if it doesn't take, do it again! Because of everything you went through, you have made an EXCELLENT video for all of us out here! THANK YOU!!!

      Joy G Ok.
      1. Push the white lever completely down and with your left index finger loop the thread around the *Duck* head & hold it in place.
      2. Pull the thread over & in between the two metal prongs
      3. Let go! You should see a small loop and just (grab a pen or something) and pull it through!
      *DONE*
SEE the TRICK IS.. KEEPING THAT WHITE LEVER *COMPLETELY* DOWN WHILE YOU'RE HOOKING THE THREAD THEN LETTING IT GO!😀😉And BOOM! Ur done!

I’ve just bought a new machine - my Mum’s trusty 65-year old Singer having finally retired exhausted! - and despaired of ever conquering that automatic threader (though my elderly eyes made me long for it…) I had the manual but still couldn’t figure it out. However, your demo made it « easy-peasy » - thank you SOOO much!

I just bought a beginners machine because I thought making my own soft furnishings might be fun, well, until just now... its been anything BUT fun. None of the instructions in the booklet make sense, it uses the technical terms for everything and the diagrams absolutely SUCK! But then, I found your channel. You are amazing!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!

I bought a new Singer sewing machine for my mom a few months ago and I figured out how to use the threader using the manual but, after I showed my mom how to do it, I forgot about it since I don’t use this sewing machine. I just switched out her needle and wanted to figure out how to use the threader again but was too lazy to bring out the manual again. I’m so glad I found your video! It helped! 👍🏼 Thank you!

I've had my sewing machine for 18 years, never knew what that thing was, just found my manual after losing it for a few years. Started reading it and realized I have an automatic threader on my machine. grrrr ! Been fighting with threading the needle for a long time. LOL! Thanks for the helpful video. With your instructions and my manual, maybe I can conquer the automatic threader!!

OMG, my story is more or less same as you’ve mentioned. We picked up a pre owned machine couple of months back and had just kept it as we hadn’t bought extra Boben. Finally I tried to put the thread through the needle hole and took nearly half an hour and all the while my wife was sitting and watching me probably thinking what a dumb person I am😄😄😄 finally somehow I managed and finished the task. Now I just happened to watch your video that gave me a clear idea. Thanks a bunch for the clearly focused video💝💝💐💐🙂

My husband just got me a Singer that has one of those auto threader's, gggrrrrr. I actually ended up in tears trying to do it. I watched a Singer vid and that woman went so fast, and did not have the up close view like this does. Lady, if we lived close, I would personally kiss your feet! Thank you! A million times thank you!!

I'm embarrassed to tell you I have had my singer 2662 machine for like 17+ years now and had NO idea it had an automatic threader on it. Old age has done a number on my vision. For the life of me, I couldn't get the machine to thread. I had just left a message for my sister who is 11years old than me but the sewer of the family. She is really good, made her own wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses, and currently has a quilting business, I did not get that gene lol. I watched your video and was able to get the machine threaded in one shot. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Now I'm wondering what else this little beauty does lol
