We most certainly do have emerald tiaras. There is the Greville emerald tiara that Eugenie wore for her wedding and also the Vladimir tiara which has interchangeable Pearl or emerald drops. Queen Elizabeth wore the emeralds on a visit to Canada.
Prince Albert had an exquisite sense of design and all of the jewels he designed for his wife are testimony to that. Another of his tiara designs for her had rubies: the Strawberry Leaf tiara. Their youngest daughter, Princess Beatrice, inherited it and its whereabouts is now unknown. 😢
OMG, those tiaras are stunning🌻It would be amazing if Catherine, Princess of Wales wore those pieces, she could do them justice. Thank you for showing these to us. I agree with you, who wouldn't want to own a tiara ?
I wonder if the Fife’s would allow the tiara to be worn? With Catherine, the Princess of Wale’s, green eyes, it would look spectacular!! Also with her rich brown hair with it’s reddish highlights. Stunning. I agree the emeralds are definitely scratched. They probably definitely have some inclusions, but for Sotheby’s to say what they did, they must be remarkably clear. I know I’d love to wear them! 😉 From Oregon with ♥️ Jessica
@@camlacasse3760 But not the Fife Emerald tiara, gifted to Queen Victoria by Prince Albert. If I'm not mistaken (as I don't know the actual piece) that emerald in the brooch isn't "damaged." Emeralds are rarely clean, clear stones. They almost always have inclusions in them that make them look like they are cracked and/or murky. It's just the natural state of the stone. You can always tell a lab created emerald because their too perfect looking. No real emerald is that clear.
That's probably true, but I think it's also a sign of wear, which is amazing! I love that these jewels have been around for so long and have been part of a family's heritage! It makes them so much more special than something that's perfect! Thanks for watching!!
@RoyalFashionNews The inclusions in the emeralds are known as "jardin." All emeralds are expected to have some kind of inclusions. They are indeed a delicate stone. I'm sure they are treated with the utmost care.
@@mariaadam1047Agree, emeralds are expected to have these inclusions. Someone who reports on Royal jewels should know this and not spread myths about “broken stones.”
I doubt that the scratches on the surface of the emeralds are natural inclusions. Those, imo, are definitely signs of usage. The only old stones I would not expect to have signs of wear and tear would be diamonds and garnets.
It's happened before, and I would love for it to happen again!! They're just a couple of doors down from Catherine, after all! Surely, she can pop over there and wear them out to a State Visit or something!

The Ruby necklace that QEii is wearing is the Baring Ruby necklace that she bought to go with her Burmese Ruby tiara. I would love to see the Oriental circlet on Princess Catherine, combined with the Greville Ruby necklace.
100% the reappearance of the Strathmore Rose tiara makes your 2023 list! That ruby tiara looked amazing on the Queen Mother. The shimmer, the glam. She wasn't the most glamorous of women, but she rocked it that day. ❤

Emeralds are my birth stone. I wanted to get an Emerald engagement ring, but working as an RN, it wouldn't be practical. So, I have three Emerald chips on the side of my engagement ring.
Queen Victoria's emerald tiara and the rest of the parure was given first to her daughter Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll in 1893. I am immensely sad that so many of Queen Victoria’s jewels are no longer within the main line of the royal family. I feel like more of them should have been added to the jewels owned by the sovereign.
Yes I agree. She left so many jewels to the girls in her family, and that took them out of the royal collection. Queen Mary did it with her daughter as well. Such a shame because some of them are simply stunning. I think Pss Catherine would look amazing in them
I’m really sad that I’ve had 2 opportunities to go to the tiara room in the 0:01 Louvre but didn’t know it was there. I would love to try on that sapphire and diamond parure. It is gorgeous!

When I attended the theatre with the queen she wore a green tiara en suite . I do not think it was this one. They were so large they looked faux. That was back in 1987.
The ruby necklace was purchased at auction. It’s not originally opals. The opal necklace you are talking about was altered by Queen Alexandra to rubies. The Queen mother wore it often and the Queen wore it after her death. Camilla has worn it a few times over the last year. It’s a single line of large rubies in diamond surround. Very very large rubies. It’s paired with a very large ruby brooch and earrings that also once upon a time consisted of opals. Alexandra really hated opal. Victoria left those jewels to the crown. They are not the kings personal property, but are for the use of the reigning sovereign at any given time. The queen mother was so fond of the rubies that she held on to them after her daughter became queen. The queen famously remarked “mummy will give them back one day” lol

Of course the BRF has an emerald tiara. More than one, actually. The Greville Emerald Kokoshnik as worn by Princess Eugenie of York on her wedding day. And the Grandduchess Vladimir Tiara in the emerald setting. Also, the name of the famous 19th century painter is Winterhalter, not Windhalter.
That tiara should probably never be worn again simply because of its historical value, age, and fragility. One drop or hard bump could absolutely shatter those delicate emeralds and it would be ruined. On the inheritance tax. Absolutely ridiculous and such a shame that the UK cannot seem to abolish it. These tiaras should absolutely stay within noble and royal families who can care for them and not let culture be sold off to the highest bidder. What an absolute shame that some of the most beautiful works have been auctioned off never to be seen again. Collect taxes on earned gains and leave priceless ancient assets alone. But then again I’m just an American and we went to war over this government’s taxation practices.
I didn't catch on to which Victoria until the title "Queen" was said... Facepalm hereby applied, now I admit that the Crown Princess Victoria would wear these superbly! Myself, I'll take a saphire tiara or one with nice pin-purple rubies. If it does not appear for Christmas I guess I will slowly start making my own opal tiara.
I love the Christmas theme tiara Tuesday!! I usually don’t prefer the colorful jewel tiaras - the diamonds and pearls are so much classier in my opinion, but that emerald tiara is winning me over! I don’t like the rest of the set - it’s too much.
I love the idea of an infinity ring. I noticed yours was not bright at all though Looked like sterling silver and not that great looking rhinestones. I went to site. The ring there looks fantastic! Says it is made of sterling silver with 18K vermeil white gold. Have you had yours for awhile? Special order. hmm. Is there a way to make sure the stones and metal are bright and stay bright? Or are you stuck with whatever they deliver? Or requires very specific cleaner to keep the vermeil intact? Never considered a lab made diamond before but that infinity setting is really unique. I love pave set stones! Are lab grown diamonds graded? What is the cut used in those pave stones? Site didn't offer a lot of details.
Elizabeth the 2nds designe choices in tiaras were In my opinion tacky her aquamarine tiara is just too mutch the stones are fabulous but they waisted on a very contemporary style wear as queen Victoria's tiaras are some of my favourites especially that emerald beauty.

That was one of the 10000 things that made Mememe see red. She wanted that tiara that had been promised to Beatrice, so the Queen said no which started the Harkle tantrum, in which Hawwy said “What Meghan wants Meghan gets.” 🤮🤮🤣😂🤣
Of course it does. They also own the Grandduchess Vladimir Tiara which comes in three settings: Without any gemstone drops/pendants (en tremblant), with pearl drops, and with emerald drops.
I wish the British RF were as generous with their tiaras as the Swedish RF, where the princesses, including the King's sisters, regularly get to wear the tiaras. Why hide the jewellery, if it gives the public so much joy to see the various pieces?
Because of the current cost of living crisis in the UK, it’s considered bad form to flaunt the jewels right now. That’s why there was a “no tiaras” rule at KC3’s coronation earlier this year. Better times and less civil unrest should see a return of the tiaras.
I believe this and two others now on loan at Kensington Palace may very well return to the main line of the royal family via an arrangement done by state and the branches of family who has loaned them to Kensington Palace for the time being.
The British monarchy has at least 2 Emerald Tiaras. The Duchess Vladimir 😂 Tiara when worn with the Emerald drops and the Greville Koklshnik Tiara that Princess Beatrice or Eugenie wore to her wedding..I get those two confused
Even the all diamond ones are Christmas Tiaras because of their sparkle, I seriously dislike that Ruby Oriental Tiara. I dont like the button tiara of Sweden either. I love most of them.

I believe Queen Elizabeth the second’s aquamarine tiara can replace the stones with emeralds.
Eh yeah the royal family had emerald tiaras. Princess Eug wore one of them.
The Queen looked the best in the tiaras.
❤❤❤
Is it just me or is there no sound on this video???
I really want princess Beatrice or Eugenia or Princess Charlotte to wear these tiaras
Isn’t this the piece that MM was insisting on wearing? I know it was an emerald tiara.
Even the all diamond ones are Christmas Tiaras because of their sparkle, I seriously dislike that Ruby Oriental Tiara. I dont like the button tiara of Sweden either. I love most of them.
The British Royals have an Emerald tiara,Princess Eugenie wore it at her wedding.
Money's no object . . .
1150 British pounds in 1845 would be approx. 173,000 pounds today or approx. $220,000 US.
I do fellows all the royal family rules

"we don't count carats, we count centuries."
Putting a tiara on Camilla is like putting lipstick on a pig…it will never look good
You’re SS (sewer squaddie) aren’t you? I recognize your name. Stop trolling. Stay with your own kind !
They need to give back the diamonds and rubies that was stolen 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️💯💯💯💯
Get over it, ancient history !!
lol what’s up with your inability to pronounce Sotheby’s 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
What's up with the speaker voice?
The person speaking is obnoxious
Lisa Kayser This lady (Brittany) has two great YT channels and she’s good at it !
I really don’t like her squeaky, high pitched voice, and she talks so fast she ends up mispronouncing words. I turn my volume really low, because her voice and the way she speaks really irritates me, it’s like torture: NAILS scratching on a BLACKBOARD ‼️
PS: Voice instructor coach would help Brittany improve the sound of her voice!
I simply do not have sufficient funds or access to credit to design the type of tiara that I would like to have. I doubt the type of gemstone that I would like even exists on Planet Earth 🙆🏾♀️. The type of budget I need is a small country's annual GDP to cover costs.
