I've had the blessing of telling children that they have a sponsor several times. It's always a big joy for them. One thing that we can see in this video is that the first thing that the child does when they get a sponsor is that they write a letter. The children tend to look at the sponsorship not so much as a financial commitment, but first and foremost as a relationship.
I chose to pick "my kids" (5) on their birthdays. One of those happened to be on mine as well. It's been over 6 years since I got my first 3 kids, and about 5 for one, and I think 4 for the youngest. They are incredible ❤💚🧡💜💙
Sanitising hands even before the time of covid! I'm genuinely impressed with the hygiene and care and heart put into all this. Keep it up you guys :)
How cute
Melts my heart te power of God, in ppl

I’m curious why they weren’t shown pictures of their sponsors here?
Hi Fionna! Sponsor's may share their photos in their letters to the children. The photos of the sponsors were not shared here in this video most likely because the sponsors had not yet provided any pictures. Most sponsors will send a photo with their letters, and since this is a brand-new sponsorship, I'm sure they received pictures in their response letters. 🙂 -Christina

I don't understand what this sponsorship thing is about.
BioAbner, I’m happy to help and provide some information about us! Becoming a sponsor means making a monthly commitment of $38 per month to provide your child with all the support they need. Compassion International is a non-profit, child development agency that works with existing church-based organizations. The funds that we receive are donated from sponsors for individual children in Compassion-assisted projects, to provide for their spiritual, educational, health and nutritional needs. As a sponsor, you will also have the opportunity to exchange letters with your child! Our desire is for every sponsor to have this opportunity to develop a meaningful relationship with their child. I encourage you to visit cintl.us/aboutci to learn more about our ministry! If you have any questions, please email us at socialmedia@compassion.com. Have a blessed day! -Christina
Sponsorship is a great thing and has so many benefits for these children. My wife and I have been sponsors for the last 25 years and we have seen how a small amount of money in our eyes can make the biggest difference in theirs. We are pleased with how this organization has helped us to help others in severe need. God bless you.
