I love the versitility of the Plethora X5 But I have 2 cons that I have discovered are: #1 the awkward tripple-tap to change boards, when playing a live show your taps have to be an exact speed to activate the command, I just ordered the Ampero midi controller to solve this issue. The other con is- I would like to see my board NAMES in large bold font rather than the board NUMBER, right now I need to have a cheat-sheet taped to the floor to remember my board order, some of my boards are visually identical other than a few tweaks to delay times and/or effects levels etc. it would be great if TC Electronic offered a dedicated "Bank up-Down" bluetooth or midi controller with a screen that has the board NAME displayed! please send this enhancement request up the chain for consideration, Thank you!!
Not that I have much merit on what is and isn't important but it comes up just short of (rather, maybe, in what is in my understanding of) high importance for this kinda setup, and that's a stereo effects loop w/ option for routing some pedals into that loop, unless I missed that and please let me know. I'll go back and watch it again if so. If they added a stereo effects loop, that would just truly upset and stomp out the competition.
Looks like a nice device to me. Just so that I understand the difference between this and any multieffect board: what you don't have here is the amp/cabinet simulation and the more complex routing stuff like splits etc. right? What about dynamics?
Oooooh boards pedals and toneprints! and some top secret stuff we still aren’t sure if we’ve actually broken all or just some of line 6’s patents and copyrights on yet lol 😂 love it, and I can finally play my tinwhistle without shame... yaaaaay
This looks like the perfect solution for those who don't want complicated multi-FX boards and wish to keep their favourite pedals.
It's like I ordered this custom made for myself, This should bring world peace.
Retroactive MASH implementation for older pedals and Tap Tempo BPM displays cements this as a must-buy for me. This is insane.

Jayrod M dude that’s cheaper than my two x4 pedals, which are flashback 2x4 and hall of fame 2x4 ... wish I’d known that a bit earlier, though i can imagine that In a live pedalboard setup with presets , switching system ect having two separate pedals might be easier...
@@beauosland4071 Wow! Not cheap but seems to be a great price for everything you're getting. I was moments away from picking up pedals that would end up being redundant. So glad I saw this. Thanks.
And what's the score will spillover between boards - ie; if I go from board 1 to board 2, will my delays and reverbs trail off nicely?
I can't see why not, even my first generation G-Major does that.
In buffered bypass mode, yes. Totally 🙂
@@tcelectronic That's amazing, cheers!!!
If they added a stereo effects loop, that would just truly upset and stomp out the competition.
wow this is a weird looking G-system
G stands for Gangsta
This looks AWESOME!!! Makes me want to build another board with a couple drives, a MIDI switcher, and this guy
When you are Greek and listen the word "plethora" accented on 'e' instead of 'o' so many times 😁😁😁
Can't wait to get my hands on one of these!!
the idea it's fine but i have 2 pedals of tc n never works well the program, never could change toneprints in my alter ego!!!!
Martin Rodriguez sane here and completely ignored by tc electronics
Have you tried using Flashback TonePrints with your Alter Ego?
@@tcelectronic obviusly
@@tcelectronic nothing happens
@@tcelectronicgoing to sell ir n buy a mooer delay, sorry 6 months whith it, no solucion, words can't express my frustration with u n your products
this indeed is a fantastic idea, tool etc.. price is good too.. the question is.. why did u take so long??
I literally just bought a flashback 2 and sentry, sigh always after I spent money....ufghjjhhhgg
Take pedals people already like and put them in one box! Very cool! 👦🏻
I demand a refund for my flashblack, hof, ditto, pipeline, and polytune pedals. So I can just buy this thing instead...
Relate 😂😂
you're better off w/ a loop switcher then. then you can make actual patches of ALL your toneprint pedals.
Finally. You guys are very innovative. This is fire 😍🎸🔥
He’s from England but doesn’t sound like Benny Hill. Ok, I’ll buy it......!!!!
All I need to be fully impressed would be an graphic eq or booster, for different inputs of basses to regulate...will there be a chance of an update?
Shut up and take my money already!!!!
Yes I've been waiting for something like this! Good job tc elec.
@TC Electronic the fact that the FX loop occupies one block makes me consider whether it's worth the X5 over the X3.
Looks like a nice device to me. Just so that I understand the difference between this and any multieffect board: what you don't have here is the amp/cabinet simulation and the more complex routing stuff like splits etc. right? What about dynamics?
Oooooh boards pedals and toneprints! and some top secret stuff we still aren’t sure if we’ve actually broken all or just some of line 6’s patents and copyrights on yet lol 😂 love it, and I can finally play my tinwhistle without shame... yaaaaay
This is what I’ve been waiting for! I need one!
