It seems that Terrarians just collectively agreed on never ceasing to continuously come up with the new ways of making their NPCs' living conditions as gruesome as possible. I love it.
Next time I start a new game, I will exclusive make these types of houses to really show by deescalation of house building. It started with actually putting in effort to make the houses fit into the biome, then turned into the “I’ll make a real house later”, and now this will be my final form
When I made walless housing, I found it impossible to move NPCs in manually without at least one wall to place the flag on. I did do this in modded, but I've never seen this mentioned anywhere else, either on the wiki or in other videos talking about efficient housing.
Very cool. I wish there was a way to make early housing in extremely limited skyblock maps but sadly there are just too many requirements thst can't be fulfilled.
This is being permanently added to my arsenal after I couldn't figure out how to make the NPCs stick to the roof. I wanted an easy access hallway of NPCs but could only do the 5x12.
question : is there a comfort item that is directly being sold by an NPC ? and I don't mean a type of block only sold by NPC that you can turn into a comfort item, just one comfort item, directly being sold by an NPC.
I dont know, my 2x3 prison cells with steel doors, bedrolls, wooden latrines and washtubs (because I added mods) dug into the mountain and not smoothed seem a little better than a workbench and chair in a closet sized dirt hole.

Terra can’t speak.
@@Terrawwhat if he could
@@Terraw i feel ya
I don't think those 2 can fit in there, terra.
i didnt even notice :o
Makes a nice, decent, pretty, setting-fitting house for an NPC: This house doesnt have a wall in 1 spot, suck it.
Npcs seeing T H I S: Perfection.
Or if there is a *single* stinkbug, despite a whole colony showing up sometimes.

I love how terraria players are in seeming constant arms race to make the most miserable and/or cheap npc houses possible
Honestly, creating accomodation under the ground is probably safer than my low income wooden Hotel at spawn
@@dogyX3 and then hardmode hits
@@volcanic_sloth yeah... how do players actually protect their villagers in hardmode?
@@dogyX3 my favorite way of protecting them in hardmode is not protecting them at all
Maybe if there would be no over 20 npc in the game ppl would have will to build them something nice, especially on HC XD

you mean people dont just cut down 5 trees and make a low income hotel in the center of the world?
too hard :(
They do, but you can't build pylons like that
@@GlitchedSlime then make tiny little wood rectangles all over the place for pylons
do this every playthrough
*laughs in insta house*
"personally I really like the idea of making the most budget house possible." every builder, ever to exist
Bro my heart sank when i saw BFDI never thought i see it in terraria
I now know how to construct a house for the angler!
Not enough spikes
It's still too good for him
this is a terrible angler house, the furniture can be destroyed by the mandatory lava that needs to fill the entire room
youd need to do this with sand which is kinda annoying

Didnt expect a BFDI clip! lol
The rest of BFDI clips were cut due to budget cuts 💔
I got jumpscared by my childhood
"Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, nor a dry, sandy, [adjective?] hole. It was a hobbit hole, and that meant comfort."
The most generous Terrarian building house for NPC, so kind of them.
$2500 in Ontario
Still more spacious than the average New York apartment
this surprisingly feels more ethical for me than doing the coffin houses..
When I made walless housing, I found it impossible to move NPCs in manually without at least one wall to place the flag on. I did do this in modded, but I've never seen this mentioned anywhere else, either on the wiki or in other videos talking about efficient housing.
that's honestly so incredebly funny. The only requirement is the wall for the FLAG. THE FLAG!!
finally a worthy home for the princess
At least 3k a month
0/10 not enough lava to torture my angler with
It's a good thing terraria NPCs can't unionize against us troubled Terrarian landlords
I didn't know that Japanese Spider Holes counted as suitable housing.
Perfect for the Angler
This is so useful when I'm rushing the game, like specific class playthrough
"It means you can easily make a suitable house in well under a minute with just a cooper pickaxe, a torch, 14 wood, and quite literally -20 dirt"😂
Sending this to my government to solve the housing crisis. Thanks Terrasteel
That BFDI reference got me. And I've not even watched BFDI! Lol
0:28 bfdi reference real
ok, love the question mark sprite, and love the stardew ost
Not seeing the red arrow and Saddam Hussein there, minus 20 points

I found this useful for a new playthrough. Thanks.

If only housing was this cheap in the real world
A new innovation in terrarians eternal goal of condemning annoying npcs to worse and worse houses
Could you explore the theoretically the most practical base design with all the storage, crafting, NPC etc areas explained?

Not that the costs exist, of course, just that everyone jokes about it

pov: bro spends 2 hours in the house while you go to the jungle
Yeah I actually perfer NOT to torture my NPCs.
Yes, that's what I am seeking
These might be more inhumane than RimWorld houses but at least here they keep their limbs

When the "cost" involved is as cheap as wood in this game, does it really make a noticeable difference if something is cheaper than even that?
BFDI!!!!

I'm diching shoe boxes this is the new meta
Did they change how natural dirt walls work? I swear one of my first house attempts was underground and it prevented me from doing so

Imagine living is a house like this
off topic, how do you make your ui dark? it looks so nice
IRL version when?
minecraft called
BFDI
Natural walls don't count for npc housing though? if you try to make a living tree room into a valid house it will say it's missing a wall
Wait are you a BFDI fan too?
I just download Fargo’s Mutant Mod for the insta houses 😂
