This is nothing short of brilliant. Tried it today with no other swing thoughts and hit the ball as pure as I ever have. It's now my pre-shot routine. It'll be interesting trying to incorporate some of the ground force principles without negatively impacting the rhythm. Any videos on your channel that might help?
Well done. This is by far the best and most easily applied guideance on reducing tension in the arms during the swing. Nothing unravels my swing faster than tension building in the arms. Great drill included here to reset when it's needed.
U believe some drills work for you and some don’t this drill is fantastic. As an older single figure golfer my problems are disconnection and speed this is a fantastic drill I use this with Pete Cowens spilt grip drill I relax and even for an old boy connection and speed thank you for demonstrating
George, I’m down to a 3. The closer I get to scratch the more difficult it is to lower my handicap. Over the winter I’ll work extra hard and see what happens in the Spring and Summer. Thanks for asking. Cheers.
@@roadtoscratchgolf3481amazing! That’s awesome. Getting to that stage where it’s marginal gains making the difference. Keep at it… you will get there… I have every faith! 🤞🙏
Will you confirm “ for the avoidance of doubt “ that although the arms should be relaxed and reacting they are actually activated by the muscles that raise and lower the arms. Whilst turning the body vigorously in both directions will influence the swinging of the arms i am trying to clarify that GRF is not saying that is all that causes the arm movement. Thanks.
I wouldn’t like to be too explicit or descriptive on this as it will vary player to player, however, it’s much like throwing a ball. Perhaps throw some balls naturally and place your attention on how the body influences the arms. They work in sequence with each other. The tensioning of the arm that takes place is “passive” I.e. it is self tensioning in response to the weight of the club swinging that you’ve initiated from your body motion. I hope that helps. Let us know!
Bad news is i strong arm it, good news is i dont get any worse under pressure!, bn i dont hit it long, gn i hit it v straight gn is i want to improve and hit it longer,bn im 63 and 5hcp
George this is you at your best. Best drill for GRF. Thanks Mr.

Great simple concept. Curious though about how many layers you guys wear. Is your side of England that cold?
It’s a little cold, but I make it look colder than it is… I’m just a soft southerner whom can’t hack it up north! 🥶 😢
@@g-lewgolf9272 I bet you know the saying. ‘You don’t have bad weather, you just wearing the wrong clothing.’
Lovely stuff 👌
Lovely golfers deserve lovely stuff!
Nice one George
Thanks Stuart. Notice how many layers I’m wearing… unfortunately it’s not the same climate as where you are… 😢
Did not want to mention that 😂😂@@g-lewgolf9272

Just like United recently… 👀. It doesn’t really work coming from me, as you well know my team are even worse 😂😢
