    The worst part of 07 was really that the weight detection that while more realistic was also too restrictive. For evenly matched players a weight class advantage could be an automatic win button; one of my high school friends’ favorites were Hulk Hogan and The Great Khali, mine were Super Crazy and Mr. Kennedy we could almost never play straight one on one matches because the weight advantage meant it was way too difficult for me to win outside of things like ladder or elimination chambers, and being able to skip the meter in royal rumbles if you were a bigger class basically made Khali an automatic win if he was human controlled.
    The load times weren’t that bad compared to the gsme being super unbalanced as a competitive game

      Wrestlers like Finlay, HBK, RVD, Beniot, Carlito, Nitro, Mercury, Tazz, etc. were classified as heavyweights when in real life they were light heavyweights. It made no damn sense. I guess so they can lift somebody like Taker and Kane. Khali was OP because no heavyweight can lift him.(Even though Batista & Cena obviously did lift him up.) That was my biggest gripe of that game. You can also forget about playing as a cruiserweight in that game.

    But in SVR 2010, you could upgrade them just by playing matches in exhibition mode. Why play through boring 1 on 1 matches to get a title shot, when I can just do title matches in exhibition, as well as Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber & Championship Scramble matches?

    The worst thing about SVR is no GM mode.
    The worst things about SVR 06 is no MITB ladder match, and some roster members not in the game. But tbh SVR 06 probably has the best roster of any SVR game.
    The worst things about SVR 07 is no ECW, and some roster members not in the game, but SVR 07 is the best SVR game.
    The worst thing about SVR 08 is the lack of roster, there is a ton of roster names not In the game.
    The worst things about SVR 09 is no GM mode and the roster is depleted
    The worst things about SVR 10 is no GM mode and the roster is even more depleted.
    The worst things about SVR 11 is no GM mode and the roster is at its most depleted.
    The reason why I care so much about the roster is because you need a large roster to do a GM mode, so when I want to have a women’s division and there is no Victoria, it’s hard to do.
    The GM mode in SVR 08 is difficult if you want to include ECW, because so many roster names are not in the game. So when you want to play as ECW in the SVR 08 GM mode and there is no RVD, Dreamer (as he’s the GM), Shelton, Kevin Thorn, Balls Mahoney, Mike Knox, Hardcore Holly (as he was only DS exclusive), Super Crazy, Steven Richards, Nunzio as they were all eligible to be in the SVR 08 game but wasn’t, it’s difficult.

    The worst thing of the Smackdown vs Raw series in every game was not building a strong WRESTLING FOUNDATION. It built on top of the Arcady Smackdown! games. SVR 2007 was the perfect opportunity to really give the most realistic gameplay experience, but still let their be options for those who wanted an arcade “wrestling” game. You will hear this in just about every WWE game which was every wrestler felt the same. Selling, reversals, chain wrestling, weight detection & overall interactions had a very ai very similar feel besides their moves fadded some sim aspects, but it was all built on the original SD games. Some may see this as a pro, but I see it a negative light.

    Honestly the worst part about SVR 2011 for me wasn't necessarily Universe Mode itself (I never cared for that sorta thing) my issue as that many unlockables such as characters required you to interact with the mode and while that's a minor annoyance at best, what was egregious to me was the fact that title matches could not be played in Exhibition without Universe integration. To me this was insanely frustrating because I always loved being able to defend titles in regular matches as it adds stakes to bigger matches when I'm playing for fun and locking it behind something so arbitrary was disappointing and it did knock off points from an otherwise awesome game for me. Thankfully WWE 12 and onwards fixed this blunder.

    The worst thing about SVR06 was the broken AI in ladder matches. IMMEDIATELY after the bell rang the opponents would exit the ring and head straight for the ladder, prop it up in the middle of the ring, and try to climb it. They didn't even want to fight, if you tried and they managed to get you away they'd go straight back to trying to climb the ladder and grab the belt. It was awful, the match was almost literally unplayable. Fine, fine game otherwise.
    And thank you for highlighting the fact that the amazing Season Mode was in Shut Your Mouth first. Everyone worships HCTP - and I get it, it was a great game - but people just completely ignore that it didn't introduce Season Mode, and in fact the mode was even freer and more nonlinear in SYM.

    As a person currently playing both games. I would also add that SvR 06's main weakness is how "outdated" it feels in comparison to the period it was released. You were lacking people like MNM and the Mexicools, but you still had people like Christian or Mark Jindrak who were long gone from the company at that moment (in fact, due to copyright, Christian lost EVERYTHING in the game, from his attire to the announcers calling him out, yet he still was there). Also, the roster was updated based on the last draft but the announcers for each brand still talked about them as if they were in their brands pre-draft (e.g. Benoit, RVD)
    For SvR 2010, I would definitely add that the game feels "easier" to play than previous games. Idk, I think the AI in that game was deliberately dumbed down to make you finish a match in shorter time than 06,for example. That kinda turned me off that game.

    I wouldn't say this was the worst thing about SVR 08, but the introduction of ECW felt kind of flat. It was sort of hyped up as ECW's first appearance in a WWE game, but the roster for ECW was really weak, with only about 6 people. The ECW legend brand was also odd, considering that you only had three people on that brand, with one of them (Tommy Dreamer) being an active competitor!
    Not being able to play as an ECW wrestler or being unable to move to ECW in season mode also kind of sucked. Pretty sure there was also a storyline where you could win the ECW title, but you had to give it up right away, in exchange for a single dollar.

    As much as I love these games, I do agree that some of their problems can’t be ignored. Flaws such as the removal of large backstage areas in the first game, locking Jake Roberts via the PSP version of 06 (2007 thankfully didn’t have any large flaws as I can handle loading and never had any long times), the 24/7 mode and removal of MANY stars from 08, the lack of legends, removal of GM mode and the confusing career mode in ‘09, the removal of certain TV-14 elements in 2010, such as certain weapons and inter gender matches, and 2011 for me, the removal of a licensed soundtrack. Aside from these flaws tho, I still enjoyed these games and always will.🩷

    For me the worst part of SVR was the load times. I played it last out of SYM, HCTP, 06, 07, and 08 and I swear it took 2 weeks in between matches 🤣

    I just used codebreaker to unlock Jake the snake in SvR 06 at the time. For SvR 07 just install the game onto the external SSD; problem solved.

    Personally, I only played SvR 08 and 11 so I can't really say anything about that season mode from SvR 10 but it does make me chuckle that it was so heavily criticized yet WWE2K22's MyRise is exactly that, little to no substance, stories that last 2-3 weeks, some of them hardly make sense or seem as if they were written by a drunk toddler. I guess it's just me venting about that godawful gamemode and it has absolutely nothing to do with the vid but I needed to say that lol

      Yeah he had like no business having a 95 overall in SVR06. Batista beat HHH 3 PPVs in-a-row prior to the game’s release but he gets only an 88 in that game? LMAO

    • @pushon10
      @pushon10 10 месяцев назад +1

      True. It's so dumb that HHH has such a high strength rating in particular. When has HHH ever exhibited great strength? He's not like Cena or Lesnar who are able to lift people way bigger than themselves.

    • @kingwokester7324
      @kingwokester7324 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@pushon10 Strength in SVR games pretty much meant how much damage a wrestler can do overall whether it would be strikes or grapples. I also remember HHH playing politics when it came to making him look strong in WWE games around his reign of terror days as well.
