6:13 “your oniony ground beef is looking… utilitarian” Hahaha. I appreciate that you’re honest with the viewer and not acting like everything is the best thing you’ve ever seen and tasted. You took the time to explain that this is weekday cooking, you’re looking to save time and make food that tastes good but isn’t going to change the world.

You used normal sodium chicken stock. Salt was added to the ground beef, then it was salted again when the onions were added. Then added salt to the peppers and onions. Then added high sodium condiments, and high sodium cheese. Is the goal a salty flavor?
Also, check about di oli vas if you haven't heard of it yet for inspiration for salad dressing.

Hey Bri! Home made tv dinners! I'm an over-the-road long haul truck driver trying to eat good but not spend lots of money on over priced truck stop food or pre-made frozen meals filled with tons of preservatives. Home cooked meals that are easy to make, freeze very well and taste just as great reheated. Would love to see your take on this.

Bri, you are amazing! I used to prep/cook like this when the kids were home and I was working. I was good in the kitchen but you would have made me great. And now that I’m retired with kids in and out of college, I’m truly enjoying so many of your others recipes. Yesterday I made your lobster bisque, had it for dinner (daughter was home and requested it - saying it was one of the best things I’ve ever made. I totally gave you credit!) then today took some to my parents and the rest to friends. Everyone was super pleased with their dinners tonight. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

This is how the people cook in things like chopped or top chef. Build your components, structure them together, taste for cohesion, then plate. Neat stuff.

Busy mom here who loves to cook and have a variety of meal options (no shame to classic “mom cooking” but no casseroles in this house). THIS is the kind of meal prep that makes sense. More videos in this series please!!

Please do more of this style of video! i.e. making tasty individual components in batch that can be made into many meals. SUCH a good idea!
Could you perhaps do some involving the freezer so that meals can be made of the components weeks after preparation?

This is the content that I love, prep ahead of time and enjoy quick meals throughout the week. Just one question: how many servings do these recipes make?

I did this and made our meals for the week. I am an experienced cook, but this took me over an hour, probably 75 minutes. If I did this more often, it would take me less time. With that said, we were blown away by these meals and will 100% make them all again and then do some variations with other proteins/grains/vegetables. Thank you so much for putting this together! My husband now understands why I watch so much foodtube and has asked to watch other videos of yours for future meals. We made your shrimp tacos last night, another win!

The spaghetti Rosa dish was amazing! We put Italian sausage slices in it. Adding it to our dinner rotation.
Making cold sesame-peanut noodles with cucumber slices for lunch tomorrow...
I love this concept-- it's a game changer: We're eating real food at every meal in under 10 minutes and not trashing the kitchen twice a day.
    Genius.

My fav. Quick and tasty food is Haloumi and Bacon wraps. Bacon in oven, Haloumi you more or less deepfry/fry and then add tortillia and lots of lettuce, tomatoes and quecumber. Top it with mayo.
From start to finish is like 15min. Super tasty, super easy!

Won’t putting super hot foods in the fridge lower the overall temp of the fridge and affect other foods/ingredients in there?

Woah I learned the best way to cut a pepper and I have seen a few ways, how to store cooked pasta in the fridge without it sticking together, and I got some vegetarian meal ideas for me and meal ideas for my husband! :)

    The only problem is preservation.
Most of these food items, specially the starch and protein related ones, last at most 4 to 5 days in the fridge before they start to degrade.
And since you cooked them all at once, the clock is already ticking.
I think an alternative is to have one or two bases made, one for protein dishes and one for starchy ones, and then make the other ingredients on the moment.

This is not the way I typically cook, but I liked seeing how easily the Asian dishes can be prepared. My teenagers love sushi bowls, beef noodles, and bibimbap, but traditional recipes call for so many ingredients and steps. Thanks for sharing!
