MOUNTAIN ROAD Almost Swallows 76000 Lbs TRUCK WHOLE!!!

  • In This episode of Murphys Diesel Wrecker Rick got the call of a 77,000lb tractor trailer 7 miles out a mountain road hung up on a switchback turn that is about to swallow the whole truck and send it down the into the canyon between. They jumped in War Machine out 75 Ton Rotator and headed out for this night time recovery. We hope you enjoy the video and always please like share and subscribe!

      My drivers used to do corners like that all the time. With a cabover and a 45-48;foot flatbed.. not a 300 inch Connie with a 53 footer

    I've done recoveries like that with a 750 Holmes on a single axle brockway with a slobbering 6-71 Detroit and the cab so broken up that there were hasps from the hardware holding the doors shut. Now they need a million dollar rotator

    It's Bone Head Truckers like this that keeps you paid and busy. We spent 105k on a BRAND new Bobcat 770 and it broke 2 min after delivery AND LEAKS WATER IN THE CAB. It's all Junk!!!!

    When I worked for Werner the GPS on the Qualcomm was notorious to give wrong route. That was 10 years ago, I see they haven’t fixed that.

    Back in the 70s I took the two lane road from Flagstaff to Wickenburg with a 352 and 50 ft bull rack. It was tight but had to back up couple of times.

    This driver extracted his brain and left it in the bucket at the edge of the blacktop,,, thanks , I have payed 4 wheelers to take me down roads before, todo you I all recon my route before I pull off down into one lane deal,, I would never take a dirt Wind the road in the hills with a 18 wheeler never, lol 😆 thanks BigAl California .

    Next time try the NRC wreckers! We have them all over Canada working in -40 with no problems if you run properly with the right oil weights! I don’t think you can get 100T yet but 75, 80T are awesome 😎

    I used to do recoveries on US 14 here in Wyoming before they widened it.. the switchbacks are still tight but not as bad as they were. Used to get semis stuck on em all the time when they started using 53 foot trailers..

    Great commentary on what and how .
    Would you have considered using the under lift to back him out ,a bit more control once you did the initial lift ,steep hill etc ,may have been slightly faster (sorry less time ) recovery isn't fast aye ?

    Hello Rick have you hea4d of a company named EKA they are a Swedish company that builds recovery equipment and is what most modern underlift units are based on the British military use them for battlefield recoveries so reliability is a must just a suggestion for future equipment purchases

    Another great recovery that looked easy first but actually needed a lot of figuring out to get it straight because of the hairpin and the slope. Why the semi driver went up that twisty mountain road in the dark? GPS usually gets the blame.

    Rick it’s possible that your driver either rats nested the cable and left kinks in it that it doesn’t move freely or the driver went and put the air free spool up higher than 60 psi

    I want to start by saying I love what you guys do and you guys are great at what you do. But you really need to change up the background music it’s exactly the same in everyone of your videos that I have watched. If you change up the music and limit yourself to only saying “Folks” 3-4 times per video instead of 3-4 dozen times I think your channel will really blow up. Keep up the great work folks!!
