    I think Richie Sambora is one of the most underrated guitarist ever. So many great guitar riffs and solos.

    Richie Sambora is an underrated guitarist but he's also often overlooked for his singing. When you wondered if you were hearing layering of Jon's voice or other band members, it was Richie. On dead or alive his is the voice that makes the chorus so great on the call and response. That song wouldn't be so great without Richie singing as much as he does in it. All the great high harmonies in their music is his. Such an underrated vocalist as well as guitarist.

      Heard a couple of his songs. "One Light Burning", "Church of Desire", and "Ballad of Youth" are pretty good.

    Talk box guitar 🎸 ✔ Joe Walsh and Peter Frampton also used it in their songs

    Dang I forgot how solid Let it Rock is!

    Yeah, a talk box. I've also heard it called a squawk box. A lot of people think that the guitarist sings through it, but that's not actually how it works. It basically turns your skull into a speaker cabinet, and as you open and close your mouth (essentially chewing on the surgical tubing) it changes the quality of the guitar tone, especially through an overdriven or distorted amp. So you can form words (like Frampton on the live version of "Do You Feel Like We Do?"), but there's no air moving across the guitarist's vocal cords.

      David Gilmour uses it on Pigs and Keep Talking. This song is the best for it. Makes me feel 15 again ❤

(you never really leave your first love) You will enjoy this methinks. Cheers!!!!! (played entire album on repeat for years till the tape wore out and I got the CD)

    I wore this cassette out when I was a kid, so I was excited to hear each song. As soon as you introduced the first one (Let It Rock,) I knew exactly what was coming.
    Glad you enjoyed.

    You Give Love a Bad Name made them famous. This album came out when I was in 7th grade, and all the good looking party girls at school were going to the Bon Jovi concert. I wanted to go, but my parents wouldn't let me.. because I was only 11 😄

    Yeah so I saw them tour for this back in 86, couple years out of high school, nobody had any idea who they were but I thought they sounded pretty good especially for an opening act, but I cannot for the life of me remember who was the headliner. Scorpions maybe?

    Hi! If you want to check out a hard rock album from the 80's with every song being killer with no filler, check out Tesla's Mechanical Resonance. The musicianship is incredible in Tesla, with not just one, but two guitarists who are gifted on both rhythm and lead guitars and who often trade lead solos back and forth. Plus their lyrics are elevated above most bands of the time who usually wrote only about sex. Since you love the guitar, I encourage you to listen to this album!

    You should try a Scottish band called WET WET WET and there songs ( Love Is All Around / Sweet Surrender / Goodnight Girl / Angel Eyes ) from the 80s

    Big time successful, catchy, it is what it was. Corporate crappy rock music written by professional 'songwriters.'
    What happened to Led Zeppelin? In Through The Out Door? Do the music of Steely Dan...

  • @jonlate4581
    @jonlate4581 3 месяца назад

    You stopped at PG with Zeppelin. Presence! In Through The Out Door! Don't sidetrack us with Bon Jovi of all things, where did that come from? I mentioned Steely Dan. How about Judas Priest? Black Sabbath? ....

    Please do THE WARNING BAND .

      @SDsailor7 3 месяца назад

      That's what I have been telling her but you have to be in her patreon list to be heard and she has a lot of subs so I don't think she is going to listen to us. You and me know that if she listens to them she will be hooked. So I instead I am talking to the comment posters and telling the about the Warning. A couple here already said they don't like bon jovy or are tired of them.

    • @SDsailor7

      Maybe the TWA needs to come over and flood the coments to let her know about them.
