This is very motivational! Thanks for sharing your experience. I’m 42lbs up at 35 weeks (started at 117 lbs, now at 159), and I get so nervous before every doctors appointment, because I would get weighed and my midwife / doctor would comment on my weight and tell me to try to slow my weight gain. It’s so nice to hear that your baby was a normal size and you were able to lose the pregnancy weight so quickly!

I’m so glad to hear that people like you don’t feel so alone after watching! It feels so isolating in that position sometimes. You’ve only got a few weeks left, 42 pounds honestly isn’t that crazy! It’s all going to work out, and our bodies must have needed a bit of extra weight🤷🏻‍♀️💕

Thank you so much from this.
I’ve been dealing with just body image issues. I’m 31 weeks and 46lbs gained. It’s been emotionally draining and being continuously reminded that a healthy gain is 25-35lbs definitely hasn’t helped.
This video is giving me hope that it’s all just part of the process.

I’m so happy for you!! I just watched your video about how you gained a lot of weight from when you were 39 weeks pregnant.
Girl, I relate to you sooo much. I used to weigh 120 lbs and with my first pregnancy I gained 60 lbs, getting up to 180 lbs. I was miserable and hated how I looked.
At about 6 months post partum I’d lost all of the weight except 5 lbs. and I found out I was pregnant again.
Not I’m 21 weeks pregnant with my second and i have not gained nearly as much weight at this point as I had with my first.
I honestly just don’t like being pregnant at all. I feel gross and like my body isn’t my own. But once this one is born as well I should be done and I’ll get to focus on getting my body back to something that makes me confident and comfortable.
Anyway, great job I know it’s not always easy but it totally pays off!

This is so encouraging. Thanks for sharing. My story is similar to yours. Fit before and now 25 weeks and 37 lbs heavier despite walking for 30 minutes 5 days weekly and tracking calories. Again thanks for sharing!

@@alishabrown6308 it’s crazy how our bodies can react so differently to pregnancy, depending on what our body needs! Glad this was encouraging!!🫶🏼

You look amazing but I do want to say postpartum is so unique to each individual just like pregnancy. Breastfeeding does not always make you lose weight so if you're watching this and wondering what you're doing wrong, the answer is nothing!!! Your body is doing what it needs to sustain two (or more) lives.

I also think a lot of people can take tips from people who have done things and have gotten results, it's not meant to shame the people who were not successful using the same methods..coming in with the caveat of "this doesn't work for EVERYONE" is really not helpful, as she is not saying what she's done is the only tried and true way

Thanks for the motivation. I currently lost 50 lbs after giving birth. I gained 80 lbs total. So I have 30 lbs to go, but the weight won't budge. This is my second pregnancy. I only gained 25 lbs with my 1st. I'm not sure if my metabolism is slowing which makes it things more difficult along with stress hormones.

If i cant breastfeed because of medications, is it a bad idea to pump to burn calories?

    • @connorandsidney
      @connorandsidney  4 месяца назад +1

@@joesmith733 that’s a great question! I actually have no idea!!! Bring that up to your OB or midwife. I’d be so curious if that could be helpful! There’s also some pros and cons to both. If you can’t breastfeed, you can work out much harder to lose the weight bc it doesn’t matter if your supply drops. If you breastfeed, you can’t work out as hard, but your body is burning calories all the time.

You let your baby sleep in her car seat while you worked out?! I know she was being watched but that is so dangerous! Children have died from being left to sleep in car seats

So what if you need to drive somewhere and have to take your baby with?

When the car seat is in the car it’s leveled differently so the head naturally goes back a bit more and doesn’t get squished. It’s actually extremely dangerous outside of the car
