This was my first car when I turned 16 in 1993. It was a black 1981 V6 with maroon interior and a bench seat, stock wire hubcaps Mom bought it off my cousin jeff for $700. I cleaned that car all the time even though it broke down alot. I had alot of good memories of me and my girlfriend in it...but we weren't in the front seat lol. Definitely were some magical times of youth and a first car.
That Monte is a classic! It brings back so many memories. My stepfather had a blue "81 and a brown "83 that I ended up driving. It lasted over 100K miles.
Its so cool being able to watch videos like this about my car and see the history
Thanks for the upload! I like watching these old videos.
This body style still looks cool.

Thanks for the uploads I remember these cars new back in the day . My parents owned full-sized Chevrolets and Pontiacs back in the 70s and 80s .
Weird seeing a stock one without neon paint and 30 inch rims.
Look good original i had a 85 white walls and wires 💯
I had one and I loved it.
Atleast these looked better than the 78-80.
Proud owner of a 86 SS 💪🏽💪🏽
This version had the turbocharged version of the 231-cubic-inch/3.8-liter Buick V6 as an option as well as the 5.0-liter Chevy V8.

Me gustan los dos carros
Is that Doug Lewellen in the video?
Of People’s Court fame? I believe you are correct!
Me gusta el carro
Chevrolet antes sabía hacer autos bellos
How luxurious can it be with manual windows?
that was the normal on all but luxury cars in the the 1970s and 1980s
They turned in a luxurious way.
I had one! And no it wasn't fun to drive with it's low horsepower 229 v6..
Raggedy crap! 😐
