    Was looking for some good info on red for this power axe I'm currently working on, and this was great. Minor criticism on a technical level; that music that kicks in at the end was super loud compared to the rest of the vid.

    Hi , thank you for these great tutorials. Could it be possible to have a list of the paints you used for the red and purple power swords ? ( even though i think i have a good level in english , i find myself quiet in trouble to understand everything when you tell us what paints you were using :) )

    Thanks Dodge for an entertaining Friday afternoon while outside its raining off and on. Now when it comes to painting swords I tend to start with Silver from Vallejo and build transient colours at angles but from memory the end result is pretty much the same as yours except for the golden yellow as then I use Yellow Ochre which I find gives it a deep and lasting balance !

    • @BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio
      @BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio  4 года назад

      Raining here to, Yellow ochre, what brand is that ? Also we may try to do one using silvers at some point, just to see what results we get.

    Thanks a ton. But as for me - i dont like that common “lazy” method with alternate thirds of bright-dark colours. Same with NMM.
    Its “unrealistic”, if we can speak about “realistic” in this case.
    For my imagination, power generators in weapon should do two things: 1) warm the blade from the inside - in this case, we must have the brightest core with cooling at the edges 2) warm the blade from the outside - in this case, there should be the brightest strip along the blade with cooling in the middle

    Awesome tutorials. If you could throw in a quick image of the colours in the pallete to that would help as my sword turned out nice but I think it may have been to dark or light at some points.

      Thank you for the suggestion but the problem with doing that s adding another camera. We don't like to move the one we use as it is already very hard to keep such small items in focus.

    Thanks for showing how all those colours look on power swords. Too many blue ones out there, and not enough green and red ones :) This will help me decide which colour to use without having to try it myself.
    Btw, how much time did it take you for this simple blends? As you said, it takes me about one hour per sword (or per side) if I want a really nice blend :(

    • @BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio
      @BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for watching. We can not remember the time it took per sword as it was a long time ago, but we are glad you enjoyed the variety..

    Nice video. Thanks. Quick question.... do you duplicate the pattern on the reverse of the blade exactly, or opposite? As in left side blade tip is highlighted on one side, do I copy it on the other or reverse it? Thanks.

      Sorry for delayed response, only just noticed this comment. I guess its a matter of preference personally i would satin, it gives a nice smooth look and doesn't dull the colour.

    would dark blue work for the dark angels' heavenfall obsidian blades or would you suggest a black/grey pallet?

    • @BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio
      @BigmeksWorkshopPaintStudio  3 года назад

      black grey and or blue are on the same colour range so we would suggest playing about with all of the blue grey blacks you have to find a really nice finish. Scale 75 have a lot of colours within the dark blue range that should work well.
