A feat of engineering! I’m always amazed by the clear way you can visualise the shape of the pattern piece that you need to make the finished thing - like the cargo pocket, that nifty cutout corner!
Cornelius this tutorial is great! The good point made are to try on as you are sewing your projects. So that you can actually get it to fit correctly. I imagine it’s a lot more work but it’s worth it. Thank you!
@@CorneliusQuiring if I showed you how I do my denim jeans. So much work is like my thing 😂😂😂😂I have no overlook, so I have to finish raw edges by folding and sewing.. More like how you do an overlaid seam.. Now on every garment😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Very stylish pants Corn. What a great idea to use up left over fabrics. By the way, you inspired me to look for a vintage sewing machine rather than buying a new one. I have found a wonderful 1935 Singer and I love sewing on it - so thanks.
Well thank you for the kind words and I'm glad to have been an inspiration. That's a proper vintage machine indeed. I hope you're making what your heart desires!
wow those trousers are amazing! i love your videos, they are so well produced and your kind personality makes them such a pleasure to watch. keep it going :)
These are Awesome!!! Thank you for doing this!!! I’m so going to do something like this! I’ve been watching your videos for like 3 weeks now and I loveeeee what you’re posting! Please continue! You’re awesome!
I went to your site and read your story. Thank you for sharing such a personal message. The content on this channel is so enjoyable and informative. I look forward to future uploads.
Well I appreciate you for taking the time to go down the rabbit to learn more about me. Thank you for the affirmation and thank you for watching & commenting.
I loved it!! You could also make a oversized jacket to match with it, it would look great!! Although it's very different from you're main style, I think this urban style/street wear it's really cool!
That higher rise makes pants fit so much nicer. You've inspired me to make figuring out a good pants pattern my next sewing goal. Thank you for sharing.
These are awesome! I like designer outdoor type functional clothing. I found your channel way back when I made a waxed cotton anarak and your jacket was a big help. I have a nice pair of fjallraven pants that I think I can improve a little and this was a bit of an inspiration to get going. Thanks.
Oh wonderful. Well thank you for watching my videos all this time. I am glad to hear that jacket video was of help to you. I am glad you hear this video went a little way in encouraging you for your pant project. I hope the improvements work out for you.
"Worker People" lollllllll I'm a union industrial/commercial electrician and my husband is a concrete/masonry and carpentry contractor So "Worker People" sounds so hilarious and I'm now going to describe myself and my husband as such in the future When our canvas worker people pants get worn out I cut them all apart at the seams. So far I have used the scraps to make tool pouches and patches for the not yet worn out worker people pants. I'm pregnant and plan to make overalls and such for the baby later for playing outside
Haha! Well I am happy to hear the expression is making its way into the world and thanks for helping make that happen :) It's good to hear that you're able to repurpose said worker people pants and your child will have some durable play clothes. Congratulations on the addition to the family.
Well thank you. I can do you one better, this is the video I used to learn how to draft and sewing the cargo pant pattern: ruclips.net/video/WuAEhCFnQB0/видео.html
Love this. Something different. I am all for creating your own fashion. Dont be mainstream! BTW, when are you fixing that parquet flooring in front of your window? LOL

Nothing new to me here. Always making somethin from nothin. Happy you were able to get a bit creative. They actually look great and a cargo pocket ain't easy to make look good.
Just tryin' my best with the little I got. 😏 I am on a mission to take the cargo pocket back from dad khakis everywhere and reinstate them to their true glory.
I love this and all of your channels. Best tailor on the tube.
You are kind. Thank you and thanks for watching.
I've been trying to research sewing men's clothing for my bf and I FINALLY FOUND A COOL PERSON
Oh my, do share who this cool person is?! I wanna see their video's too. 😊

And thank you for the kind words about my work.
my wet dream is to make one of these. Thank you for pleasing my eyes with this creation
I have full faith you can!
Hahaaaah.. Bro.. The double top stitches is the highlight of the cargo pants. I love it
It was so much work ... don't do it :)

Yes, I think it shows too.

Thank you. I too feel like I've improved a lot over the last while. Thanks for watching & commenting :)
Very creative, some designer will see those and sell them for $1200. Nice job.
Wait what ... I want a cut of the sales then!!! :)
Finally
We miss you man 😊
As usual you are the best 🪡
Well thank you. I appreciate your comment. I post every 2nd or 3rd Sunday these days. :)

Your lines at the back made me think about honeycomb patterns that can appear on jeans, it would perhaps be cool to sew thread patterns like that.
Indeed, that is a good idea. Honeycombs do look cool. Thanks for watching and sharing your creativity.

Corn, in that last outfit, is ready to trek thru an urban outpost, overrun by zombies, in search of resources xD
The zombies stand no chance! I'm warm and ready to take on the apocalyptic city get what I need ... looking good the whole time of course :)

Ooo it’s so cool! It’s so fashionable. I related to having just a pile of fabric scraps and unsure what to do.
Well it sounds to me like you've got a fabric busting project in your future :) Thanks for watching.

I'm team high rise all day! Plus, they make legs look longer so an added bonus :)
Good luck with getting your pattern just right.
very lovely make. WELL DONE

Incredible!

Wow! You are so so talented! Love your videos! X
Thank you. I'm glad you think so :)
The pants look fantastic by the way. I would love to see how you made the pocket. I have many pants that could use more pockets
The cargo pocket? I was thinking of doing a tutorial about it so I will bow definitely be adding that to the list of video's to make ... eventually :)
Goddamn those seams at 10:30 are [ c r i s p ] 😩😍
I've got a cheesin' grin on my face right now :)

If I owned this apartment as opposed to just renting it, it would have been fixed before it was even noticeable :) Thanks for the kind words.
@@CorneliusQuiring your tutorials are awesome even discussing mistakes. Really not much men's clothing tutorials out there
Oh wonderful. I am glad you appreciate it. Just trying to keep it real. 🙃
Was cargo pocket in the plan or to cover up that minor misalignment between the colors?
The cargo pocket was a key feature from the get go, but it ended up being a happy accident that it covered up the misalignment :)
I was very much looking for a professional tailor and finally l found it. Where are you?
Thank you for the kind words. I am located in Toronto, Canada.
Hiking Corn. The editing Corn's long lost third cousin with a full beard, plaid mackinaw cruiser, axe and lives in log cabin. Who knew?
I wanna meet this Hiking Corn. The one I know couldn't grow a beard to save his life :)
Amazing 😊
Could you please give us a pattern for your pants
Good news, I will eventually put together a video of exactly how I made my pattern. It may just be a little while before that happens.
Where do you get your patterns from?
I make my own patterns. I used a bunch of different sources to patch together a basic pattern for myself and then base everything off of that.
👍👍👍❤❤
