    Uhhhh I was thinking about grabbing the nickel coated power bar but for $680 shipped I would expect it to be flawless at that price.
    I’ve had my Duffalo nickel coated bar for 4-5 years now, and that coating on that bar is perfect.
    A have a few Kabuki products but their barbells are overpriced. Even the CEO (Bill Henniger) of Rogue said it few years ago on Instagram, said it directly to Duffin. He mentioned that there is no justifiable reason why Duffins barbells should cost so much. Duffin back pedalled because he sells some of his products on Rogues website.
    Not a conversation you’d expect to be made public, but it happened.

      Thanks for the feedback! I think it might be a hit or miss as some batches might be better than others? but nothing compares to the first nickel coated bars that they released.

      Yeah I have a Rogue stainless steel power bar now it gets the job done.
      The Kabuki bar is just not worth twice the price of the Rogue bar, especially if the coating isn't perfect.

      It was when I did the video. Also prices were 2-3x more.

    How does this compare to guys like Rep with Colorado or the classic OHP? If you could have just one?

    • @nowayjosehomegym
      @nowayjosehomegym  10 месяцев назад

      OHP is the bar with the most passive knurling I have. I dont own anything from REP so really cant tell but I am sure their deep knurl is more aggressive than OPB.

    I was worried they would mess it up again

      @nowayjosehomegym  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah! They also changed the center knurl.

    Honest review. Ah that’s not good about the quality control. I thought that’s why they stopped the nickel in the first place. Have u reached out to them to see if they can fix it or explain the powerlifting knurl differences between bars? I tried to get one delivered to Australia but it was going to cost 4 x as much. Hopefully they partner with rogue some day like the transformer and kadillac bars so we can get it here.

      @nowayjosehomegym  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah that is a long way to get there! They had some good sales on BF but not sure how much is shipping to Australia!

    • @Garage_gym48
      @Garage_gym48 10 месяцев назад

      @@nowayjosehomegym yeah I saw those. Shipping was around $1500US so it would cost around $4000AUD to get it here. Unfortunately that’s unjustifiable 🥲

    For the non knurling side mine came out actually smooth but i had smeared uncoated/uneven nickel coating. I ended up getting partial refund just to keep the bar. Yes its not the greatest bar for the price but looks interesting compared to stainless steel bar. Contact Kabuki to exchange or get partial refund. This would be my first and last purchase from kabuki. They have great ideas just missing the mark with fit n finish/quality control ti justify the price. I dont alwyas want to own mainly rogue bars because its really nice to try out other power bars from different manufacturers.

      Thanks for the heads up! Yeah the smooth has some uneven coating but the knurling is great and that is what matters the most! Thanks for the feedback!

      now the Kabuki 250k powerbar in nickel dropped MSRP to $569. we definitely overpaid and this isn't right for the people who paid full price. @@nowayjosehomegym

    I got my nickel power bar yesterday. Definitely noticed some inconsistencies in the bar and some rough patches that don’t exist on their cerakote power bar. It’s not a big deal though, Kabuki is known for slight blemishes and at the end of the day it’s a power bar, not an art piece. Gonna use it tomorrow for bench day and see how it feels.

      The knurling is great and that is all that matters. Kabuki is known for coating inconsistencies but I agree, hope your bench day went well! Thanks for the feedback!

    Have they addressed the excessive slop in the sleeves-or is it the same as the previous version?
