The Kabuki Strength Kadillac Bar is the best multi-grip bar we've reviewed. It features high attention to detail on areas that matter, a camber angle borrowed from the ever-popular Duffalo Bar, and a fit and finish that is top-notch. If you want the best and can stomach the price tag, we recommend the Kadillac.

What video should we post next? Titan Yukon Bar Review, Garage Gym Walkthrough, or Rogue Monster Bench 2.0 Review?
Titan Yukon please... I don't buy anything from them till it has the Coop stamp of approval.
Walk through!
Garage Gym Walkthrough! Would love to see an update with all the new equipment!
colorado strength raptor fitness racks! lol
Shipping was only $30 🤣. The bar is over $400
Coop is the "General Grievous" of olympic barbells
Hello there
This man is a collector of bars
Some men buy a new car during their mid-life crisis, Coop buys more bars
@@avinashtyagi2 why isn't coop more buff??
This channel is like Linus Tech Tips but for lifting lmao
Except Linus actually uses computers
Sergio Gonzalez lol
@@sergiogonzalez7391 You mean drops them.
Wow ive been using dumbells for 25 years because the bench bar would/does dislocate my shoulders. This kabuki bar has a grip that i wish i could have been using since i was a kid.
To stop the flipping they should make the part that touches the J cup flat on the bottom. Relatively easy design change
Attach a screw clamp at the point where it hits the jay clip.
Weld a gusset directly onto the bar where it makes contact on the j cup. Cos u dnt want to grind a flat spot . Or even 2 gussets. To give stabillity both ways. .. that way its 4 points of contact and not just 2
If your rack allows, a reversed setup micro mini band will do the trick.
Thank you for the great review.
If going for the best how would this compare to the Elite FTS Cambered bar?
I bought the bar recently and it is fantastic! I have shoulder and elbow problems and it is much easier on my joints. It is pricy but I would rather invest in good bars than any other part of my home gym. I have an inexpensive rack and plates but went all out for specialty bars. Great job on the channel Coop.
so you still feel this bar is easier on your shoulders?
@@bigkahuna3534 no doubt. I don’t use a straight bar at all now. I’ve upgraded to a Rogue Monster rack to get better stability . Again a little more expensive but I’ll have it forever and safety is really important since I lift alone.
Great review. Thanks for doing it.
Chris Duffin made another video about this bar where he talked about the balanced feel of the bar while pressing. It's designed to not tip forward or backward like most Swiss/football bars do when pressing.
Have you found that to be the case?
You cant spell kabuki with out bukaki lol
Aye I see what you did there - nasty!
interesting. i think they just took the middle two letters "ka" and switched them with the first two "bu" to form kabuki
Looks to me like you don't really get much more ROM because of the 2cm or 3/4" lip on both sides (the frame) which makes the ROM shorter had it been straight, and it doesn't bend that much unless you use the outer handles.
you miss the best part of the bar. It doesnt wobble your wrist, thanks to the bend.
He lost me at 399...
Honestly that’s not too expensive for this type of product
The Pope yeah it’s a lot of metal
@@nonyobussiness3440 It's not that. A good bar cost $200 in the first place. And since this is more or less a specialized barbell that's more niche and requires more expensive manufacturing it would be quite a bit more expensive.
yeah me to lol
The Pope that’s my point manufactured metal gym equipment is expensive to make. It’s not expensive for what it is
A lot of comments hating on Coops physique. One thing to understand is not everyone has the same goals. Not everyone wants to look like a bodybuilder.
Mamelo
Well he's reviewing equipment and he has the physique of someone how can't lift anything more than 25lb bumper plates on each side. Sorry if I want to know if a bar is good then you need someone who can really hit things hard. He has no triceps and no biceps and doesnt even have any vascularity
@@chadmorris946 such a chad comment lol
@@nathansmith603 lmao!!
@@chadmorris946 he has a 500lb dl tho, thats very good. do you?
Wow impressive but for the price tag I'd get the current Titan Camber swiss bar or wait till they clone it in version 2.0
I have that bar and love it. Aside from the admittedly nice stainless steel sleeves on the Kabuki, I’m not sure there’s a reason to clone it. Titan’s is a little wide, but so is this one apparently. It also has a pair of close grip handles that this one lacks. If this one’s a little better balanced I guess there’s that.
@@srhyse Does the titan fit in a standard width rack? A guy i know had one for $160 and i'm thinking about buying it
Bearded Wavy Mine did. Any speciality bar usually has less wiggle room there, but I never had any issues with mine.
@@Drip4Less_ on titan fitness website it’s only 170 with free shipping is it comparable to the elite fts or kabuki if I don’t wanna spend over 300 dollars
@@srhyse is the titan comparable to elite fts and kabuki cause I like the price point of the titan fitness multi grip camber bar
If you're buying Kabuki are you really worried about price to the point you'd be ok with bolting on the sleeves?
Yeah and remove the laser cut kabuki name to save some money. Machining the holes to bolt the sleeves on is probably more expensive than welding it. Titan has a similar bar for 170. I’ll go with that. This bar is worth 300 dollars tops.
If your workout sucks..Its not the equipment...Its you!
Man I wish it was still that $399 price coop 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that last phrase of it's really expensive for $400 didn't age well with this Biden economy 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awesome! Can’t wait for the Titan version! Lol
I just threw-up in my mouth a little.
@@GarageGym411 im of the opinion that Titan is perfectly acceptable for a home gym (bias: I bought one of their Logs because no way in hell am I dropping $500 on a rogue log) while Rogue or EliteFTS are pre-requisites for a quality real gym.
Titan is fine.
It’s out I ordered it lol

@@andyjcoop He does have a point though. He looks fit, and I know he prefers his looks this way, but there are people who have barely trained who look more muscular than him. He is quite strong, but he looks weak. No volume training maybe?
Petra Maier probably doesnt eat that great either
@@street_preacher I know that. He just really doesn't seem to be going for hypertrophy training at all. Well, preferences are not really something to criticize someone for.
Amazing bar that I used on site at the kabuki lab. My problem is that I ordered mine literally 46 days ago and still not shipped.
Furthermore zero proactive communication from them. They are a victim of great product, terrible customer service.
Charlie Fowler can’t agree enough. Everything I’ve ordered has been listed as in stock, yet it takes months to get here. Following up after a few weeks I always learn there was some issue and they’re delayed. Fucking communicate these things to people without them having to hound you for updates. Such an easy thing to fix, too.
took my transformer bar 3 months to get shipped. have you emailed them and asked where your stuff is.
flippino35 it’s all reactive communication. Nothing proactive from them. And it’s always wrong.
I had the money set aside for a Duffalo bar but they aren’t getting any more of my business.
Sounds like they are manufacturing on demand and not building up stock.
mikesmith379 proactive communication and keeping the customer informed takes seconds once a week.
its $500 shipped!.
I wish the sleeves were attach like the trap bar hd its much cleaner ... and have the option for knurled grip even if that powder coat is nice and grippy
Damn !!! I wish you were my neighbor !!!
0:51 - Current Kadillac Bar price is $449.00 (use coupon code 'COOP5' to bring it down to $427.50.)
Ordered my Kadillac Bar 14 weeks ago - the advertised wait time (at the time I ordered it) was 9-12 weeks.
Hopefully, I'll get it before December 2020. Zzzzzz...
Looks like the axel off a 32 ford
I am thinking the bar would be too heavy to use as a lat bar.
That whole flipping situation is not cool, I am out.
American BB has free shipping most of the time on their bars and that one is on sale at $350 alot as well. It is a great bar. The sleeves rotate, it has knurled handles, and it has the center cutout which makes overhead pressing easier. I have the one with straight handles as well
For someone who has $1000s in equipment, you're pretty small lol

That looks really nice to use.
It’s okay
3:05 - The Kadillac bar (and swiss bars, in general) is actually helpful for those with shoulder issues! Just ask Joe DeFranco.
If you are worried about the increased range of motion, there are a few things you can do.
# 1) Use resistance bands (from above) and employ the 'future method' - ruclips.net/video/ceIaAc8IV3w/видео.html
# 2) You can try to 'flip' the Kadillac bar over so that the 'arc' touches your chest sooner, shortening the range of motion.
# 3) strap a pad (or a benchblokz) to the Kadillac bar to simulate a board press and reduce the range of motion, as desired.
this guy has the gym of a pro bodybuilder but a planet fitness body

I think he looks like a guy his age that lifts and that doesn’t take steroids
Not everyone wants to be a big fat bodybuilder
My gym has one and that bar is legit
There's also a thing called dumbbells
james jacob bars are more stable and takes stress off arms
@@jokulle77 and you can lift more with a bar.
I have a Swiss bar...they are amazing. I don't use them overhead press as I have to arch the back to far as they have a square frame
I added felt tape on each corner of the Kabuki Kadillac bar to avoid scratching up the power rack.
There is alot of reasons that make this bar worth buying that werent covered, no fault to GGR but I would recommend watching the Kabuki video explaining the engineering behind it. They talk about why the handles are angled and explain how the handles are above center of the weight for stability (which is why it flips). TLDR, it might be higher in price but theres a good reason and its worth it
.
I like this type of bar
Looks way less tensions on wrists
C'mon Koop! You have all this Batman gym equipment and your built up like the cook at Krispy Kreme. False representation!!

Ever seen the video of 154lb guy benching 350 with no spotter.... looks are deceiving especially on the internet
He bench 350 so what? What's the use.... I rather have a nice body and bench 250...doesn't matter how much u bench or squat, a 6 months jiu-jitsu or MMA trained guy can finish them pretty easily...
@@derekdragon4804 Not everyone does fitness to look good? Lol, some do it because they enjoy lifting weights and enjoy going for higher numbers. Ever heard off powerbuilders? Or even Strongmen?
Wtf does it matter that someone who's into fighting can take them on? Litteraly so irrelevant. Your comment makes no sense whatsoever....
He's a gear head that happens to like weight training equipment. My knee jerk reaction is to hate as well but i'm just a scrub so what do I know, looks like hes enjoying himself.
I’m thinking of getting a multi grip bar. And could use some help on try to find the right one. Is there a chance you will be doing any reviews on some different bars.
Just get the cheapest version. This Kabuki one is like 500-600 bucks. Other brands are half that
Damn, it's $450 right now
will you buy it for that price tag? or how much will you buy a multi grip swiss football bar for the right price? 316.00 a good price or nah
@@MenOfMaturity i would buy it even at a full price. It's a long term investment for a home gym or if you have a commercial gym. If its 360, that's definitely a better deal, just make sure it's good quality.
I just got mine and the bolts to bolt the sleaves are small and no way to use longer bolts is this the way the make them now
Clearly it DOES have fit issues, just from watching your video. You only have like 1/2" of clearance to your sandwhich j-cups, and if you had regular j-cups, it just straight up wouldn't fit. You trying to shill for Kabuki?
Why so negative about the price? I love mine. Use it all the time at home. It's the best!
can you squat with this?
@@NickSiekierski Why would you want to squat with it? Use the Duffalo bar instead. I have t hat one also.
@@theowaf8822 Price mostly, this would be better for my shoulder for bench, but if that's all I'm using it for a cheaper Swiss Bar makes more sense.
@@NickSiekierski you only live once.... why not make it amazing? This is my fav bar in my collection. Go buy it bro!
@@theowaf8822 alright! signed up on the "cosmetic blemish" wait list
What I believe Coop is mistaken about is that the bar may be more risky for those with shoulder issues. As someone who has a few shoulder surgeries and uses a regular straight bar the Kadillac leaves my shoulders without any joint pain.
thx! thats why i just ordered and i got confused with his statement.
I think he was addressing the extra stretch/ROM at the bottom of the benching motion that puts your shoulders in an even more vulnerable position. I had a Titan cambered bar I didn't like....but I always used it upside down and the combination of the neutral grip, close elbows to sides and LESS range of motion was great for benching.
I just can't get full ROM with my Swiss bar. This should be ideal for alleviating my elbow/shoulder pain without reducing ROM (the Swiss bar hits my belly instead of my chest).
I like the bench press variations and Overhead press. What’s your thoughts on doing rows with the bar.?
Has anyone used this guy "upside down"? I actually like LESS Range of Motion due to shoulder issues. Less ROM + neutral grip + elbows narually are closer to your sides with a neutral grip = less chance for should injury than a regular bar. Imo.
#garagegymreviews I like to know how tall are you? Which 3 bars give you the most natural arm width/writ angle ratios? Thanks for the video
Excellent bar! Coop, you could also do full ROM bent-over rows with it.
Yep, definitely.
You need to keep your feet flat during the bench press. It helps when the weight is really heavy AND this is a very very common mistake.
looks like your equipment is well organized and hardly even use..
The guy does reviews of gym equipment, not so much using the equipment.
overpriced bar ok for rows ok for presses. there are better bars for sure. ugly X design, uncomfortable protruding edges that shouldve been flattened and rolled. would not recommend
What the rackable dimensions so everyone worrying about it being rackable shouldn’t be concerned.
Garage gym walk through!!! And you need to come down to Houston TX and check out our little garage gym community round here!!! Year round training weather
Would love to visit!
Seen similar bars to this but not just like this. These are great to use to train with. Anytime you can change the angle or hand placement gives the muscles some new stimulus
you could add a steel eyelet bolt and then attach a carabiner to that and use that as a lat pull bar with that little hole in the middle. or drill it slightly larger to accomodate the eyelet bolt
need more workout equipment?🤣 looks so full like u can’t even work out with space
you'd think this dude would actually lift with all this equipment...
Recessed bolt heads would have been nice.
I like my Rep Direct bar simply because I user it more for the OHP than the bench. Plus my shoulders don't really need, or want, the extra stretch during a bench press
Extremely underrated bar.
@@GarageGymReviews what’s your opinion on the titan fitness multi grip camber bar?

This or the Elitefts American cambered bar?
just saw this advertised to me recently, thank you soo much for this review 👏🏽
The front area of the shoulders are being used
If it's not broke don't fix it.I will stick with a straight bar
P4P G.O.A.T. UBF Champion Joseph Strong would be more ideal for people with shoulder problems. Using a straight bar can be troublesome for some people with previous shoulder injuries / rotator cuff tears etc, no matter how amazing your form is

This one is a good idea for the vagina pencil next starter girls but for the big boys the ManganStrengthSystems TM is the Strongest equipment ever made in history, Squat racks are 6in x 6 inch structural steel 1/4 in thick used in skyscraper supports and his Safety Squat bar tested to 22,000 lbs so will last longer than any made made device!!! you get what you pay for

@Garage Gym Reviews WHEN I CLICK THE LINK YOU PUT ITS SAYING PRICE IS $499.00 PLUS $85 SHIPPING
Price went up after cost of steel and freight rose during covid. This review is two years old lol.
Hello, is the sleeve on this bar the same as the latest transformer bar (on the transformer bar it is a strong pipe).
If this is the same kind of sleeve (so a fixed position with no rotation), then I am interested.
As I need to cut the sleeves down slightly to allow them to fit in my narrow garage (I have a lathe and it works perfectly to cut/shorten any bar without spin),
Appreciate any feedback.
It's 499 now. Would you recommend the American barbell t grip over this now ?
Just put fitting eye bolt with washer trough that hole and you have cable machine attachment

Hi. Can a cambered bar be used to do incline bench presses?
Absolutely, why shouldn't it...?
What brand do you think that sells the best Swiss Multi Grip and Football angled barbell bar or the best camered bar? and why choose them is it the price point, the likeness of the Brand? the quality of the bar it's self, eash shipping or like they way they ship? the bar has special features or additonal features more than other bars or is it the TRUST AND LOYALTY that you have for the company you chose to make you a customer of them
Can you review some more Titan fitness bars cause I’ve been thinking of getting them
martyjanderson I’ve heard their SSB and their racks are good. And that their bumpers are the same as other companys but at a cheaper price.
I have their SSB and sled and love it. Most of the Titan stuff that I've used is good for the money.
@@Pler1978 I would take one for a beater bar if it was free. That's it. Their deadlift jack is pretty good. For barbells Rogue is my go-to company. You can get some good deals if you watch the Boneyard for high quality bars.
mr martyj is a rogue fan boy... titans stuff is no longer crap. their newer stuff is pretty good especially for the price. maybe not 100% but id say 90
@@Hahahahe There's certainly things that I wouldn't get from Titan no matter what, namely actual Barbells and Squat or Power Racks. However, there are other things that I wouldn't get from Rogue at all unless I was a millionaire, like Any of their Strongman equipment. Other than gym infrastructure and a power bar, it's totally reasonable to use Titan products. If you're getting cast steel plates, the Titan ones are the best for the price, I paid $1.11 including shipping (well, free shipping) per pound for a bunch of plates, which is obscenely low for online sales, you're looking at double that MINIMUM from Rogue, up to 4x that. I just got a 10" log from Titan in the mail today and the box was shipped totally fine, no chipped paint on the log and even the welds are reasonably smooth, all three of which I've heard horror stories about from Titan but have never experienced myself.
Would love this for tris
This the same dude that makes investing videos?
Maybe, because this guy sure has more money than physical talent.
DO U think the cambered bar is better for the ROM for the bench press and Incline press? what is your thought of the KADILLAC BAR ? that bar is 449.99 plus shipping
Everything kabuki makes is pretty great. The transformer bar is the best squat bar period, provoded you arent going over like 800lbs😊
How does the neutral grip of this bar differ from probated grip of a normal barbell differ in terms of muscle activation?
You mention the deeper range of motion so you would think it's better for hypertrophy but I never see anyone benching with a neutral grip.
2 years late but honestly I’m not a fan of the bolted sleeves. I’m not sure what the shipping difference is in cost, but a one time payment for permanent welds just seems like a better play in my book.
Dang love this bar, but got hit with COVID supply shortages tax no 499. Not so sure at 499 versus 399
Couldn’t you deadlift with the Duffalo as if you have a really small wagon wheel plate or you’re piling off a block? Or just do “deficit” pulls to make is standard height? I’m trying to justify it as my only bar
This is some Ivan drago shit. All rocky needed was a tree trunk. History will tell you which method was more efficient.
No one wants a 7 ft long lat pull down attachment
Do u use the gym?
Dude, do you even lift? So much hardware and nothing to show for it. At loss, is it a museum of sorts?
Hello! Could you do a comparison between the Kabuki Kadillac and Bells of Steel Arch Nemesis?
why isn't coop jacked by now?
So this wouldn't fit a normal bench! That bar is also $450 on there site it's a lil pricey, I'd get tho.. 👍
Hockey tape= no more bar spin.
08:80 I have the Titan Fitness Camber bat and I strap mine too, I strap all my barbells for safety reasons.
