@@Motor7710quick question, im running some copys IDF 40, f11 115 52 28vents on a stock type 4 2,0 CU, got them tuned pretty well. Atm my biggest issue is that there is a small amount of fuel (vaporised) shooting up mainly cyl 3 and 1 out the top of my funnels when in let go of the gas especially from 3000 and higher. At the moment im only testing without any filters, but is that to be expected and i need to rely on filters preventing the stink of fuel? Cause at the moment the car is running pretty darn good. Compression and leakdown test comes back pretty even on all cylinders and even well inside newbuild specs with 0,5bar beeing the biggest variation between cylinders. Carbs are set with reccomended startup setups give or take a quarter turn on mix screw cyl 1. bypass shut all the way. Butterflys are even covering all port holes. Idleing decently at 1000 hot. Vac adjusted even on all 4 vents with snailbalance gauge.
PLEEZ do a "wrap-up video with the suggested mods detailed (ignoring the attempts you later dropped), with the re-jet tips and overall purpose/ benefits" as suggested by BWM's comment!!! Realize it might require quite a bit of effort, but we would certainly appreciate it!!! Your videos are by far the most informative on RUclips re IDF/HPMX carbs. THANX!!!! BTW: You're a BADASS!! (LOL)
You ARE a bad ass with dialing these carbs in! I cant wait for warmer weather around here to start trying these mods myself. Thank you for sharing your experiments!
I did the float bowl modification also the throttle response is amazing drives great . Thanks for sharing this . Night and day difference . This will be the new standard. I threaded the circuit that you pushed the plug in on with 8/32 tap . I. Used a 8/32 by 3/4 in long screw. With gas rated Teflon tape the part you tread is a bout a inch deep so Teflon tape is around 3/8 I don’t see In problem in the future . I used a 1/8 drill bit 6 inch long to get the angle.
Oddly enough they still pop but only when the ambient temperature is below 50f. Above that they stop popping. So some I think that they need a real choke to prevent 100% of the pops. But it definitely got better.
Would be good to do a wrap up video with the suggested mods detailed (ignoring the attempts you later dropped), with the re-jet tips and over all purpose/ benefits. Then I can share that around. 👍🏻
Corrector de aire para jet idle es fijo no tieme ajuste pero es .95mm El jet idle que se atornilla de lado es .51mm este es para un motor de 2 litros = a un 2056cc.
Ive been tuning with wide bands since they came out and it made tuning so much quicker i wish they were avaliable in the 80s&90s now i spend way less money buying carb jets
nice tips, I have a question about idles, the air hole for the idle jets react the same way as air jets of emulsion tubes? big hole on air jet of idles will weak the moisture, and the small hole will riche the moisture? thanks in advance.
You Sr are 100% correct. My 44 IDFs have . 95mm air correctors on the idle but I've seen dual 44 IDFs with one at .95mm and then other one with 1.00mm,so check your idle air correctors. That way you don't waste your time chasing your tail trying to tune these things, which it's going to be impossible.
Thanks my guy! I got my IDFs running pretty good thanks too you!
Comments like this gives me the inspiration to keep going. 😊
Thank you

😂 Thank you
Is in the works
Mastering the IDF and sharing with everyone, that’s BADASS 👍👍

It's my pleasure
Thank you 😊

I remember at first they would pop , good work !

👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏I learned a lot from you about the idf congratulations here in Brazil thank you very much!!!!!!
Nice tip on the exhaust valve, using a hose. You can also use a split-tip screwdriver.
Sometimes it's the small tech tips that really count 👍

Definitely it's on the to do video list.
Buen video, en el minuto 14:58 ¿a que medida tienes el paso dorado? Justo arriba del chicler de baja . saludos y gracias por los videos!!
No se si te refieres al corrector de aire para el jet idle. Pero la medida es. 95mm
@@Motor7710 exactamente, muchas gracias. Tendra alguna otra red social ? Instagram? :)

@@Motor7710 ok, thaks to response, we are learning with your videos, The big carb bless you man!!!
12.90 under wide open throttle? Shouldn’t you have a lower AFR under WOT? Like 12.5? Maybe you need slightly bigger mains……..
Your a " BADASS".
😂 Thank you
Please in spanish.
