  • After many weeks of fine tuning we finally got it to a 15% increase in Horsepower and torque. We went from 109hp to128hp! This thing literally blew my mind on what I can do.

Special thanks to Torben and The people at Pulse jet ignition
but especially Torben and Steve for Their advise. The results
I got are mind blowing 2hp per cylinder gain then... and Now 4.75hp🤯 for a grand total of 19hp and 20 lb of torque which is mind-blowing.

Remember guys this is a bone stock 2056 CC type4 Porsche engine. The average horsepower for this combination is around 96hp to 100hp. But I have to say that if you find tune your jetting on your IDFs you should reach about 108hp. With the PGI insert adapters you can get another 7hp to 8hp for a grand total of 115hp
    Good luck

How did you adapt the trottle bar that is angeled infront of the carbs, ? Normally you have different Butterfly at full throttle because of that. Visible at full throttle with hand lamp.
I drilled other / addition holes for the ball bones that steer the Butterfly. That makes full throttle similar butterfly.

Like to know where the pre-chamber came from? I live in the UK and nothing like it comes up when googling

this sounds like a ign. system that was around for lower RPM engines,, is that posible

I always belive in something after dyno proof and multiple replacements of the same part to make sure its not within a margin of error

FYI, these are probably just pre chambers from a production car that uses that technology. If you search "passive prechamber research paper" there is a good amount of information. Seems to be a much simpler way then going the plasma spark route

It is, and it isnt. The very first time this was attempted was back 1918 if memory serves, but was abandonned because at the time they were only able to make it work - fairly well - on fixed rpm stationary engines. The system was redeveloped by federal Mogul back in the 2000´s, but again, for fixed rpm CNG engines to improve burn and clean up emissions as well as increasing power output. Maserati has a similar system in their MC20 engines, but use twin spark technology to perfect it. This is redeveloped (and patented ) for conventional SI engines. It works on most engines, especially Hemi headed engines respond very well. Other engines are a little more reluctant to deliver and takes some tuning. for instance a Jaguar MKII 3,4 rated at 208 hp pulls 231 hp with the PJI´s and a hotter coil.
A 2,7 Porsche 911 180 hp Euro spec with a MSD6 over the stock Bosch CDI, now pulls 201 hp. All this basicly on the same fuel. Minor rejetting may be needed and the ignition timing needs to be adapted. As a rule of thumb, 2 degrees more at idle, 2-4 degrees less at max (WOT) dependant on bore and chamber efficiency.
In general we can say that the higher the compression ratio the better it works. Especially with high compression engines the fuel efficiency can be dialed in to get incredible results, like + 10% on cruise. BUT, it often takes a little tuning to get to that. Normally anywhere between 3 & 8% is considered easy obtainable.

i wonder how these plug spacers would perform against
just regular old spark plug non foulers that has a simular cup but with a bigger center hole

2 different things. These create plasma jet streams into the combustion chamber which makes the burn incredibly fast and complete at high DCR but a little slower at low dcr (idle)

Did this resolve any flat spots or similar drivability issues?

    • @Motor7710
      @Motor7710  11 месяцев назад

It definitely helps but it's not a cure from what I can tell. But generally the flat spots are due to to improper tuning. But I'm going to say slightly yes

@@Motor7710 it’s almost an unintentionally-trick-question because the tuning and these plugs are interdependent. Thanks for the video!

Ya you can gain 7+ hp by changing air filters.. but truthfully if youre able to fine tune your a/f, you add another fuel pump and get bigger injectors with a colder plug you can spike your gas with pure methanol or nitro methane, giving it more fuel and all, and without building your motor damn near double your hp straight up.. and with the mixture rich enough will actually cause the motor to run cooler.. now u do risk floating a valve and sending parts into other parts but ive done it on an old tacoma without blowing it up. Given nitro methane is almost 20x as expensive as gas.. but the juice will put the devil behind its ass..
