have Autism and can talk. I was non-verbal, started talking late, at almost 5. Despite being able to talk and ask questions, I don't really like to talk much unless being told to respond, asking a question or chatting with friends (sometimes even then, I just listen and stay quiet, but I will have a laugh if someone cracks a joke). Despite not talking much, I am told that I am very fluent when I present speeches and appear confident. I use both verbal (talking) and non verbal (Gestures, body language, head nodding) communication skills. I also have a love for DJing, music producing and art and sometimes I also express my feelings through that. I am also learning sign language, to help with communication skills and translating. I am also commencing a cert 3 in remote piloting and drone technologies, which is another interest of mine. I do also have sensory issues, but have managed to overcome many. I also love my food, I'll eat just about anything and always love to try new foods. So yeah, thats my story.
I love watching Abbie learn. I even tell my kids, if Abbie can do it, you can do it lol. And I also like that she knows she is being filmed, she also knows she has the right to say no. Which is great and awesome. I love how you guys are with her. She is so smart. I, personally am so proud to see how much she has grown. Way to go Abbie! We love you here in my house. Even my kiddos love watching you. ❤
Asa, when you were talking about needing to repair the gold cart, I totally flashed back and remembered that you used to own the motorcycle and atv repair shop! Feels like ages ago that i would see videos where that was still a thing. So proud of your guys' growth as a couple, parents, and people
Hi abbie and family i love watching abbie while she learning different things and she have amazing family that's love her, hope y'all are having a wonderful day and stay safe out there 🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️
She is such a fast learner! I wonder if that yawn while helping with dishes was on purpose!!😂 if so, smart kid!! Lol! She is a rockstar!🥰🥰 Have a great Thursday everyone!!🧡🧡
Abbie is so fast at learning she will definitely be telling you Leave Me Alone before you even start 😂😂 The dish washer and her unplugging Cillas phone 😂😂 she's Amazing 🤩 I think Isaiah will love driving the jeep He is definitely Asa's twin 😅 🤩🥰
Folding is the worst part of doin laundry. When we had rats the chewed on the hose of our dishwasher making it useless never got a new dishwasher there is only two of us.
I love how adorably stubborn she can get. Soon as you said she had an 'i like it' button... My brain side rails wondering if she also has an "I love it" and a " I want some more of it" buttons. lol I'm a dork. Country song came to mind. Abby could use them to sing and for separate things.
I think u and Prisalle r fantastic parents and Issac is a fantastic brother…. U guys r always patient with her and always want to teach her patience…. U guys r also teaching her life skills which I think is very important and I think she will learn more from u guys….
Why did I sound like a mom for a second when Abby took the spoon into the bathroom and dropped the spoon in the bathroom going through the drawers just to ask her "what are you doing young lady?" knowing that well she's on the other side of the screen?
I love seeing you do laundry you do it all the time LOL I can't get my husband to do anything around here so take out the trash so how did Priscilla get so lucky with you I hope she cherishes you
😊 must be nice having someone other than yourself to take out the garbage help pay bills and be around for you. Many of us don't even have that. You can always send him my way I will appreciate him
I’m a pretty stereotypical “guy” in a lot of ways but I do most of the laundry. Gives me mindless work so I can listen to my audio books so I don’t really mind.
I think Asa picks up most of the household chores and decorating my husband would never even attempt to put his opinion in on my decorating he has no interest..And props that he is so much involved or does the majority of Abbies needs even doing her hair!
Totally off topic.. But, please can someone help me find were to buy the Autism sunglasses. Mine were destroyed in our house fire in October. I had Blue, Black & Pink. I miss them. I loved them
@@ddinottia39 that's what I remember, but was hoping.. to be honest, the lenses helped with my Glaucoma whilemdriving during different times of the day. & got asked about them & told they follow @fatheringautism because of them
Long Long time subscribers, have you ever thought of getting yourself a duplicate of her iPad, for yourself or Cilla to promote a common ground language / communication source between you and Abbie????
Malto meal hot cereal will take care of your sugar ants. They take it too the nest and they explode. And it's not bad to leave out around animals and kids.
I feel like she’s not quite understanding past and future. Like when she talks about when she ate chick fil a in the past, it seems like she thought you were saying she was going to eat it again in the present. Does that make sense?
Yes, I agree. I think she understands what was done/what we are doing/what we will do…but she doesn’t grasp the language side of it. She doesn’t know if we are talking about past, present, or future.
I’m 72 but I was just wondering, you must get tired, when she is home all day with you guys, do you get a break? Do you have to watch her all the time?
I was going to comment about this My thoughts were that now with AI quite a bit more accessible is there a way someone could use a recording or multiple recordings of Abby’s voice for her IPad to be more authentic to Abby using her own voice
Maybe I’m the only one that noticed, but I loved the way you folded those pants.🤷♀️ Did you used to work at a clothing store or something or did Cilla teach you that? lol
Maybe you could give my husband some laundry tips on folding pants. He does roll his t-shirts pretty good tho (learned that trick off RUclips) helps when packing for vacations. It just warms my heart seeing husbands help out around the house. Not being sarcastic, I really mean that!!!😊

The goal isn't to have her talk verbally, it's for her to learn to use her other means. It can be seen as ableist because you are saying that the only way to communicate is only verbally or that that's the goal. I understand you meant it in a nice way to hope that would happen, but it won't and that is great. She doesn't need to talk verbally ti be perfect. 😊
Pretty sure your "need a minute" lasts more than 30min Asa! I have 2 boys on the spectrum 19 and 23years, and if I had a camera in their face 24/7 like you do with Abby, their anxiety, sensory and behavioural complexities would be pushed to the absolute limit. I'm only sorry it has taken me until now, to realise the extent of exploitation and financial gain, you have placed on this vulnerable girl. The amount of posted video's, has gone beyond educating others, and making them aware of disabilities. Let's put all your's and your wife's 'medical condition's,, daily struggles, neurodivergant and socially unacceptable traits" in video's daily for stranger's to watch! I'm absolutely DISGUSTED and will never watch another video again! p.s from a mother of 2 neurotypical boys, university qualified teacher, qualified youth worker and current Mental Health/Disability Support Worker.
Your comment is so disrespectful they are not exploiting her for money if you don't like what they are doing don't watch. No need to be so nasty and disgusting to this nice family this love their daughter

Squirrels are bad to chew wiring. Had to rewire an entire motor home once.
The banana rat is huge! I know the feeling on the truck. I would sell mine but as soon as I do I would need it

Why is the image of one minute better than the picture of her holding up one finger to say I need a minute?
Mix boax and sugar into a loose paste. Put it in an old medicine cup or soda lid right in their way. They will dissappear ❤
Borax?
I feel like it was de ja vu with you and Priscilla on the heat Convo :) every year! Haha
I love this for Abby!! It opens an entire new world for her.❤❤❤

You can put a line of cinnamon where the ants come in. It works!
another uncommon thing is you saying Bob's Yer Uncle! that's old old, like, "ye olde" English talk! you're funny!

I wonder if she's saying "i would like a minute"? Or "i would like it if i could have a minute"

im curious. with respect what is her comprehension level . How far from her biological age is she with this.
Hello beautiful Maass family ❤️ 😘
One of these days hopefully she’s say leave me alone verbally
She does, on her device! This is an ableist comment I do not have the bandwidth to explain to you right now.
