I had to do my remedial math (2 classes) and I have no regrets. I was able to retain the info and be a better college student. Straight A's btw. Went from a 0.59 GPA to a 3.8 in 2 years here in Texas.
This is me😩but I know it’ll help me do much better in the more advanced math classes! I only had a week to study and to teach myself all over again since I’ve been out of high school for 9 years already before I took the accuplacer! It is what it is. I rather do the remedial math vs being placed in a higher math and end up failing and having to retake it over and over again. And for my schools nursing program you can only retake the prerequisites once🤦🏻♀️! Guess I have to do what I have to do so those who have to take remedial classes don’t be discouraged. Look at it this way, the time will pass regardless so even if it takes you a little longer as long as you reach your end goals you’ll be just fine!
I tested into two classes below College Algebra, I was going to retest to get into just one before College Algebra, but the community college went into lockdown and I couldn't retest. Ended up taking them this summer mini sessions, I have no regrets about having to take both! I would have failed the one i'm taking now if i didn't have the first remedial!
I was able to take the placement exam twice - I think that might be true for most community colleges? So, the first time I took it I scored well in the Science, and English, but my Math was low. I was able to take just the math part again, a month later, and I placed into College Algebra by watching a TON of Khan Academy videos. Placing into that class was such a relief! thank you for your vids fave nurse b!
My C’s are my barriers. I applied this Spring but did not get in. I’m retaking chem this fall and bio next spring. Looking forward to get in next year. I have learned a lot just from watching your videos.
So excited to get my pre-requisites DONE. Gonna try and take all the coreqs before I get into the ADN program at my local community college. Only $4.6k for the program 😍
I am starting a&p1 and English 1301 in the fall. I can’t wait to start this is a career change for me. Then for 2019 it’s a&p2 microbiology pharmacology and an elective. I have all other prerequisites from previous college degree. Can’t to start learning and imparting the knowledge I know I will gain.
This fall I will start A&P I and I’m nervous about that and my over all course load. Each semester feels like gigantic mountain I can’t climb but I pray for the strength to press on
@@mrstorrie812 she's saved me a whole lot this semester for A & P 1. I barely learn anything from my Prof. RUclips is a life saver and she's one of those I owe it to

Your videos are SO helpful! I start my pre reqs for the LPN program this fall with English 1, intro to health care, A&P 1, and im currently studying to boost my math placement score to at least the minimum for intermediate algebra.
I had to click and subscribe to your channel. I am looking to starting back school to obtain a nursing degree. I am currently an CNAII. I had to take a long break due to personal things going on in my life. I wish I had known about trying to score high on the placement test, because I'm having to take 2 or 3 maths smh lol, but I refuse to give up. Math isn't my subject, but I know its needed. Thanks for posting this video.

Hello! Great video, I just subscribed to your channel lol. I’m currently in microbiology and the chances of me passing with a grade higher than a C is extremely slim. You mentioned having to withdraw from a course. What is the title of that video?
Can anyone tell me how long it takes to get prerequisites to get into a community college nursing program? Like say if you placement tested on average.
It’s part of the admission process so it has to be done in order to apply for the program. Then they will continue to test you on ati (most schools do) to get you ready for nclex
Do you have a video on what to look for in a Nursing School? The one near me has a couple bad reviews because they failed the CNA course. Can you blame the school or is it on the student? Their are some positive reviews also that said you have to study independently. I have been doing the tech job but now that my kids are older I can go back to school.
can you go straight into lpn without taking classes before like I went to this program to ask about the lpn but i need to do my placement test before and they said something about pre nursing that I need to do but i dont really know if thats depending on how you do with the placement test or can you just go straight into lon without taking the pre nursing. Please answer.
Miss, if I just graduated with the Ged because I graduated from High school 100 years ago, do you think they would by pass English 101, and Math, also is it a good idea to do A&P with CLEP because the CC said they accept 3. Thk you. P.S. I graduated High school 100 years ago so I did the GED and just recently graduated. Thks again💟
