I've been wondering about my strange sudden affinity for coming of age stories as I've come into in my mid 20s. I thought at first it was just nostalgia for my teen years but that didn't seem right, it felt like these stories meant something more to me. And now I see it clearly. These stories are my life not just then but also now and will be my life in the future. That analogy of us all on the same track but just on different laps was perfect. And for that I thank you BREADSWORD
Everytime I watch one of your videos, whether its 44 minutes long, or 3 minutes long. I always want more. Whenever you say "Thanks for Watching!" I'm just like "No don't go, come stay a while and talk about more movie! You just got here!" I love your vids dude, keep it up!!
@@BREADSWORD The first vid i saw of yours was on my favorite disney movie, treasure planet, and I have loved your vids, your music, and your voice ever since. Love your work dude
Definitely my favorite of Anderson’s films. It’s one I keep finding myself coming back to. There’s something so comforting and honest about it that’s endlessly relatable. Great video.
It's kind of weird writing a comment that isn't trying to be a joke, but damn dude. It's incredible how refreshing it is to see someone who's so positive and passionate about the things they talk about on here. It doesn't seem to matter if you're talking about anime, musicals, or a Wes Anderson film, you make everything sound like a worth-while watch. Plus the amount of effort and quality you put into even the tiniest video is pretty impressive too.
This is my dads all time favorite movie. When I was in high school, one of my theater friends dressed up as the main guy for Halloween, and I was the only one who knew who he was. It was kind of sad.
I love these 3 minute love letters. You go into so much depth into why you love these films and your feelings are projected onto me, making me understand why I love them myself. Keep making more! 😊
I genuinely love your videos. Apart from being well put together and articulated (which they are), it's just easy to see how much you love what you're talking about. And that's rare to find.
Not a breadsword video goes by where I am not beyond speechless at the beautifully insightful view that you present to these movies and the depth that you enable us all to see and grow upon yourselves. Thank you for never skipping a beat on the quality of your videos, and keep up the beyond amazing work!
Another excellent commentary. You make me appreciate my favorite films more deeply and with new perspective. Your inflections and time of voice are also very satisfying. Keep up the wrongful work!
I have been watching youtube for like 11 years and yet you come by and become my favourite channel with less than 20 videos. Amazing and another great entry!
Thank you. I needed my Breadsword today, man. It's been tough, and your voice and stories are always calming and restorative. Post more blah blah love your stuff blah blah. Seriously, you're an incredible creator. Keep it up.
thank you for this, You so succinctly put what I've always loved about growing up. I'll always enjoy learning and developing as a person, but the thing I've always appreciated the most about growing up is finding myself on the same footing as everyone around me. I love being able to have honest conversations with people who treat me the same as any one else. "We're all on the same track, the adults are just on a different lap than us."
I just saw this film and I love it, you made a terrific insight and you managed to make me apprecieate this work of art even more. Great video, as always. Keep it up man! Love you
You probably not see this but you essays and style is something I aspire to. So thank you for sharing your work, You are one of the greatest youtubers out there.
Funny how only a year ago (or over a year?) treasure planet was the only thing on the list. And it captured my heart the same way the rest of the list went on to do too
wow that was some beautiful insight at the end there, about the ubiquity of growth and the absence of a solid destination in the coming of age. Also really enjoyed the rapturous ellipses of disenchantment line, you're a poet man
I have waited two years to see this video because I hadn't been able to watch the movie first. I saw it yesterday. The video is exquisite. Thank you for loving cinema so much.
I would want to do a 3 minute love letter on your channel but 3 minutes wouldn't be enough, you seriously inspire me to watch the stuff you talk about and strike me when I've seen it, good job
I love rushmore..and i would go so far as to say that..this film will be the closest thing to " the Catcher in the Rye" that we will ever get to see on screen.
Every upload makes me even more happy to see that those years of professional nerding and unwavering dedication have paid off. You earned this shit man. Thank you for keeping me motivated to pursue my dreams, and always giving me something to listen to.
A simple, sweet and Brilliant attempt at telling a story of growing up, it's dark, honest and humble. Though i personally feel that it's only an one time watch film, but it must be watched by everyone. Important film? no. But a significant one, definitely.
I've noticed that all of your videos come full circle. Started noticing in the Jak video and now almost every video I've watched since. I really hope you make a movie or short film some day with this same "full circle" structure.
Every Day i wonder what your next big video will be about Sometimes Life is Worth Living just to see what surprises are ahead even if it is't something i'm familiar with or personally care about , with your format , you could talk about anything for hours and i would probably be compelled
OMG thank you so much! I'm blushing big time LMAO Criswell was one of my biggest inspirations to me when I started to write essays!! The both of you are unbelievably talented!
at this point I'm not even trying to include the outros within the time limit

BREADSWORD thus another well done love letter to a movie, and always amazing editing my good sir
I recommend a scroll through the 3 Minute History playlist.
Love the video but what is the background music? Thank you.
Can't even follow your own self-imposed time constraints? What a hack.

You speak with such love in your heart, breadboy. Your words remind me of how magic can be found anywhere.

Loved the line about being on a different lap as an adult 👍

Wowzers, that was a great bit of analysis and a piece of art in its own right. Lovely stuff.
Always makes my day whenever a video from Breadsword drops
I HOPPED ON RUclips TO SEARCH CLIPS OF RUSHMORE AND I FIND THIS? THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THOUGHTS ARE ALWAYS BESIDE THE DARKEST.
