There's a comic where Deadpool teams up with Invisible Woman from the FF and she's disgusted at how none of the other heroes hold back against Deadpool leaving him a broken pile on the floor, she defends him and speaks up for him but when he's healed back enough to be able to talk he says something along the lines of:
"They don't hold back cause they know I can heal, It's fine, *I'm used to It*…"
Him saying that broke her heart.
I read that issue and was happy when she stood up for him

I remember one comic where I think Spider-Man is ether missing or in a coma and he decided to become Spider-Man temporarily to keep his city safe and he even does it without killing though he does give them the Batman special which is death by hospital bills. He can also end up having his parts grow him back..then you end up with doppelgängers and that’s a whole fuckin mess. Or his parts find eachother away from him..then you end up with a Frankenpool made up of a bunch of himself..that’s a whole different fuckin mess.
To be fair, being quickly sliced up by Wolverine's impossibility sharp claws would be far less painful than being mashed through the bars of a cell.

It would be great if Deadpool's friends didn't traumatize him, but he's been a huge fan of traumatizing friends for a while now.

I read about 1 issue where deadpool ended up in a similar situation, he was trapped in a cage or box by himself and couldn't get out, he ended up starving and dying for like the next 900 freaking years until he was finally freed showing that he is effectively immortal but as you can imagine it pushed him completely over the edge and he was more unstable and insane than ever afterwards
