Hi. I have tried all of the suggestions under, paper feed and paper jam. My issue is a blend of both. The HP Officejet 4620 picks up the paper and jams within a few inches (no tears no twisting) before getting ink on the paper. The ink cartridge begins to print and it doesn't recognise the failure to finish advancing the paper til the print is done. Then is says "paper jam." However the paper never jams it just doesn't advance beyond 3". I have done a restart, cleaned rollers multiple times, looked at printer properties, etc.. everything suggested. As a full story, this happened after changing to a thicker paper for a copy. Not printing from a computer. Thank you for your time and assistance. It has been a good printer until now.
I followed the instructions and of course the last step fixed my problem (had to clean the bottom roller). Instructions were clear and coherent. Thank you!!
It worked! I got to the point where I had so much paper and had it packed in too tightly . . just by unplugging at both ends for 15 seconds and releasing the pressure of the paper has worked :)
I have the same issue that Breanna how a year ago:I have tried all of the suggestions under, paper feed and paper jam. My issue is a blend of both. Also, my problem did not start until I was attempting to print a 2 sided document and was manually placing the paper into the tray to print the 2 page. Please help... I need to get this resolved ASAP!!! Thank you.
+regtex1 I am presuming that you are using Windows 8/8.1 and that you have checked the clean out door on the bottom of hte printer. Please search for CC04442342 on HP's home page or using Google search. The title of the document is "HP Printers - Only Part of a Wireless Print Job or Page Prints (Windows 8)".
hello, i got 2 wire's...one from printer to outlet ,and one from printer to Pc unit(usb)..The question is;Do i need to plug them both or not? (Model F4180)..Ty.
Hello M. Emanuelro, Yes, you do need both cables as the Deskjet F4180 printer only supports a USB cable connection. If you search for C00856588 on HP's home page or using Google search, it is the printer specifications document for the Deskjet F4180 printer.
Where can one get the pick up roller plastic part? Specifically the plastic part that holds both rollers together and is located at the bottom of the printer. Is there a store that sells that?

i have an hp deskjet ink advantage k209a-z and i am unable to contact the service provider as the number given to us says that the number is unavailable. Please kindly provide a contact number for the same. The problem is that the noise produced by the rollers has changed-it is basically like firing machine guns which is weird. Also there seems to be a problem with the rods in the printer. As a customer i am quite disappointed as with the service provided by HP, as i have been trying to contact the service provider for the past three weeks now. Kindly do something about the problem. I need this problem solved ASAP for my school projects because i have to go to the nearest cyber cafe and print my information which is very inconvenient as it is not nearby. Thank You. By the way we own a macintosh.
What region are you in? You may also find this of use: HP Printers - HP Support Options - ( ow.ly/5m7M301L6Lh ) From your description of the type of sounds you are hearing it may be a gear issue, either damaged or slipping, but it is likely to need servicing.
I miss the days when EVERYTHING one brought, had a freakin' "owner's manual". No wonder so much time is lost these days! Could this guy speak any SLOWER!!! YAWN!!!

I tried all these steps, but none of them worked. My printer won't even LOAD the paper. Is there something wrong with the loading wheels?
