Because not being groomed would actually be the wrong thing because it's going to lead to intense, painful matting and unkept toenails that could rip if left to long.
“And the happy hoodie” that is no longer a dog, ma’am, that is a penguin Everyone please shut up, nobody cares about ur drama, it’s about the pengudoggie
@@hyped4cash a happy hoodie is not abuse, moron. It's the exact opposite. It calms a dog down and helps with anxiety. They're even used for dogs who are afraid of fireworks or thunderstorms. The compression makes them feel secure. I don't know what's worse, that you're ignorant af and called something you've never heard of abusive or that you were too lazy to Google two words. Some people are so dumb they seem alien. Like there's no way something that stupid is from the same planet as the rest of us.
What I usually did was lead my sister out of my room by the shoulder and close the door behind her. Then she'd start screaming and running to our parents that I hit her, and with good reason they never believed her.
@@Quintesson16 About two years ago, I took my dad to a new salon in town so he could get a shampoo, shave, etc. He STILL complains about the haircut he received there. If I ever took him back, there's a good chance he might bite that woman.
I cant imagine ! when I got my lil chihuahua I took him to the groomer and he completely changed ! she had to muzzle and tie him down for the entire process. I apologized profusely!
This is one of the reasons grooming costs so much. Human hair stylists don't have to deal with their clients struggling and trying to bite them (or potentially their bodily fluids, that's always fun). Dog groomers don't get enough respect, it's TIRING and you can get hurt. EDIT: I have seen so many iterations of: "you haven't been in a salon with me." or "kids are worse than dogs" that it has really gotten old.
Goes to show. Even dogs have their off days. By the same token, the best trained dogs can be unpredictable. Safety should always come first. You handled the situation like a true professional. Glad, beautiful dog didn't bite you. A groomers job is never easy. Good job. 👍👍👏👏🐕🐾
@@birbistic-5431 We're all animals and unpredictable, honestly. I think it's incredibly stupid to force human philosophies on other species (such as your example with cats). Cats are my favorite and they've been some of the most patient and amazing friends I've ever had. ❤
It's not even about the "training" anyone that ever owned a dog knows that they absolutely hate it if you blow towards their face/ears also touching their hind quarters or rear legs is another trigger cause during fights dogs almost always go for each other's legs to incapacitate and then finish the job so it's more along the lines of instinctual boundries just like cats won't let you rub their belly without getting mad cause it's a very vulnerable area for them during a fight to survive
@@moshadoe guess you live in snowflake land, maybe ill come visit when I need a break from reality. Just like a down horse is a dead horse, an undisciplined pet is a useless pet. If your animal bites someone and they sue, 99% of the time it will be put down. The fastest way to teach an animal to not bite is a slap back when they attack. They will learn real quick bitting has consequences. Since this is about dogs, dogs need an alpha or leader to follow. If they do not respect you, then you are a lousy owner.
@@jakeb2x266 well apparently it can still be the opposite because the dogs nose is still fragile the dog can sometimes get hurt if you really touch their nose I’m to bored to do research this is from several articles
Those are fear responses. I wonder if he's been with a different groomer and he had a bad experience? He didn't seem like he was really trying to hurt you, just make you stop what you were doing.
attacking the blow dryer is a border collie / aussie trait i’ve seen with majority of the dogs i’ve done. my border collie can’t stand it and will attack even though i’ve had her since she was a puppy
That "Inappropriate!" actually made me laugh, and not just the exaggerated exhale out of the nose. People talking to animals as if they were their insolent children is the best
What I learned from my animal related classes is that most of the time, talking to the animal like that gets the point across to them. One of my instructors called it "the mom voice".
@@cherokeewolf6104 It gets the point across to them a lot better if the animal you're doing it to also vocalizes, and the more complex the vocalization, the better they understand. Most of the cats I've had understood quite a lot of what we said, even if we weren't talking to them. Dogs do well of course, but not always as well as cats. But I could whip out my biggest, baddest dad voice to my bunnies and as long as they know I'm there before I say anything they don't give half a crap. What does get across to them is when I scream, because that's the one way bunnies vocalize and it is very urgent. That's how I had to teach them that my toes are attached to me when they were still learning about their surroundings
@@cherokeewolf6104 I always use the tone of voice with my baby boy Zeus. He always understands me and what I'm saying. He's now an upstanding snuggle bug member of society.
Can I just say I love that you are always still kind to the dogs? Even when in moods, you are always kind to them and then show them love afterwards. You were meant for this!! Keep it up, love these videos!
She's well qualified for her job. You can tell ones love for animals when you don't lose it when they don't behave. You never know what they go or been through and most times scared.
@@carsonstanley2073 No it sounds about right. To simplify it for you though they were saying "You can tell they like animals because they are not impatient with the animal"
I'm so happy with how she handled it. Dogs don't mean to act out, but when they're out of their comfort zone they can get stressed. It doesn't even mean that they're aggressive dogs.
It’s means they are aggressive. They are acting out because they mean it. Don’t be confused. You are trying to conflate something that is aggressive as non aggressive while it is being aggressive. Man, the mental gymnastics your life must be.
@@reidsimonson So a person acting out and being a dick or trying to hit someone when they're very stressed and very far out of their comfort zone means that they're an agressive person, even if at ANY other time outside of those circumstances they're perfectly chill and happy and are never agressive or violent, right? Please. My border collie Cleo is the most chill and playful girl all the time, but you know when she acts out? When she's out of her comfort zone, someone pushes a boundary, or does something that makes her uncomfortable. She'll turn and snap when anther dog sniffer her butt and then the moment they back off, she chills right back out like nothing happened. When someone blows a dryer on her or near her, she'll snap at it because she doesn't like it and the moment it goes away, she's right back to being calm. Hell, she was even attacked and nearly killed by an untrained, actually agressive dog a few weeks ago and when I accidentally touched where her scars are healed up while I was behind her where she couldn't see me and didn't know I had approached, she was quick to panic and snap at my hand because that's how she got hurt, attacked from behind out of nowhere with no provocation. The moment she realized it was me and that it was an accident, she completely calmed down and was trying to be submissive to apologize for it. You're the one doing the gymnastics here by trying to say that all dogs that snap at something they don't like are agressive. I don't know what dog hurt you to make you think that about any dog snapping at things they dont like or find uncomfortable, but you need to slow down there.
@@mars7612 right. They. Can’t talk like we can so that’s how they communicate. They also don’t reason the way we do. People do need to stop pretending animals are just like us. They are not.

You're such an amazing person. Thank you so much for sharing your life with us.

Good job. 👍👍👏👏🐕🐾

@@birbistic-5431
We're all animals and unpredictable, honestly. I think it's incredibly stupid to force human philosophies on other species (such as your example with cats). Cats are my favorite and they've been some of the most patient and amazing friends I've ever had. ❤
@@birbistic-5431 EVERY DAY IS A CAT'S OFF DAY
Dude what-
It's not even about the "training" anyone that ever owned a dog knows that they absolutely hate it if you blow towards their face/ears also touching their hind quarters or rear legs is another trigger cause during fights dogs almost always go for each other's legs to incapacitate and then finish the job so it's more along the lines of instinctual boundries just like cats won't let you rub their belly without getting mad cause it's a very vulnerable area for them during a fight to survive

INAPPROPRIATE
That "Inappropriate!" actually made me laugh, and not just the exaggerated exhale out of the nose. People talking to animals as if they were their insolent children is the best
Dogs and cats basically are bratty 2 year olds most of the time 😂😂😂
What I learned from my animal related classes is that most of the time, talking to the animal like that gets the point across to them.
Because they are our insolent fur children, no matter how old they get lol

Collie's can have temper flares. Blue Merles are so pretty. I am glad you are patient and kind with the animals. That makes you a great groomer.
All breeds of dogs can have temperament flares, not just Collies.
So glad that you ‘get’ them and do whatever you need to make it happen and when it’s over they love you just the same.
I'm so happy with how she handled it. Dogs don't mean to act out, but when they're out of their comfort zone they can get stressed. It doesn't even mean that they're aggressive dogs.
Sometimes it means they're hurt and you're touching the spot where they are hurt
