    1) bathroom bins should ALWAYS have lids for more than one reason. ( nobody needs to see what's discarded in a bathroom bin including snotty discarded tissues) 😂
    2) a weekly clean with bleach and open windows.
    3) definitely spray toilet brushes!
    4) using a bath floor towel over the rugs during showers is essential and saves your rug from frequent washes and dampness.
    5) during the summer months hang bath rugs outside to dry and air out.
    6) make sure to clean around the base of your toilet properly especially if a man lives in the house.
    7) boil water on the stove and pour down sink and bath tub after cleaning the weekly clean.
    8) sometimes you have to clean the toilet everyday
    9) use the bathroom fan during showers
    10) bath towels and rags should be changed out much more often than most people think! White towels are best. It shows up all the dirt and quickly signals a need for change!
    11) wipe floors with hot water and bleach.
    12) leave shower curtain liners pulled out to facilitate proper draining of the liners!
    13) a good air fresher for those horrible number 2s. 😂
    14) clear shower drains after each shampoo
    15) essential oils and expensive cleaners aren't necessary. Fresh air and bleach is enough in most cases.
    16) properly wrap all used feminine products including tampon cartridges and condoms before discarding in bin. ( hence the need for bins with lids!)

I am poor so I use dish liquid and a little bleach to clean my bathroom stall and pottie than I go over it with some disinfectant diluted in water. For the faucets and basin I use baking soda to gentle scrub and wash. I disinfect them using disinfectant. I have a couple old towels that I doubled and stitched to make bath mats. On my toilet tank I place my toilet paper in a small basket one of which I do some fancy fold for display with a high fragrance soap. Next to that basket I place a scented candle.

I make those cleaning pods similar to yours but, instead of lemon juice, I do just the baking soda and citric acid, then add dawn until it can clump well. That way, you’re preserving more of the reactive materials than adding lemon juice directly so you’ll get a much stronger clean after. These pods are great for cleaning anything- I really love using them for long necked bottles/jars that are difficult to clean. In fall, I do something similar but also throw in some dissolved menthol crystals and peppermint EO and use them as shower pods when I’m feeling under the weather. Clears the sinuses and relieves headaches so well!
I just want to reiterate that dawn is AMAZING for getting rid of stains on everything! I make up a cleaning spray with vinegar, dawn, and dilute with water. I use it to clean any and everything- with a little comet, it has my tub shinier than than any scrubbing bubbles ever could, and without inhaling unsafe chemicals! I even add dawn in my extra stained laundry as well.

I like these ideas. I started using the new clear liquid downy fabric rinse. I mix it with a little dish soap, water and some rubbing alcohol. Put it in a squirt bottle.
I use the mixture minus the downy but add essential oil as well.
I am a dog trainer of 48 years. Something i really want to stress, please be very careful using Fabreeze, or any other room sprays near your pets. If you put fabric softener beads inside somewhere, make sure not to spill or drop beads. Unfortunately, i trusted the tv commercials years ago. I had dogs getting sick, a dog got cancer. The University after doing testing said it was from the sprays.

Omg I did tried mostly everything on this video except for the the cleaning bomb because I didn't have vinegar or citric acid. I started by sprinkling the baking soda all around the bottom of toilet and then I sprayed the baking soda with lemon lysol spray and let it soak for 30min then I got a few dryer sheets and scrubbed all the toilet top to bottom and all my bathroom floor, I cleaned trash can same exact way. I cleaned my toilet brush exactly like this video indicates, I put coffee grains and a candle in a bowl, and put Downey dots in a bag, I put lavender oil in my toilet roll and in cotton balls at the bottom of trash can. I don't have mats or don't keep towels in my bathroom for the same reason this video suggest. My bathroom smells heavenly. I recommend this video to all that are trying to eliminate bad odors.

A trick I use when making similar bath bombs is mixing any liquid and the baking soda first, the very last step before putting it into the molds is adding the citric acid slowly and gently mixing it in.
That saves the “fizz” action for when you use it. Liquid activates the citric acid but you really only get one good fizz out of them. So by mixing it in after the baking soda has absorbed most of the liquid it doesn’t cause that much of a reaction.

Hi OmabelleTV, this is the 1st video of urs that I watched & I must say I love it so much. I am a neat freak, just love a clean & fresh smelling home, always trying to figure out new ways to add new scents, love ur ideas, will definitely be trying some. The baking soda & vinegar is definitely a good cleaning combo. Thank u & God bless

This was a great video with some good tips. My one question is.....do you put your rugs in the dryer? Does the rubber on the back of your rug get messed up from the drying heat? Or do you air dry?

Those little felt disks work well too. I stick one on the back of my trash can, add a little essential oil and the scent lasts. I just add a few more drops whenever needed.
