Absolutely inspiring. The drunken destroyer of quite a fiew hotel rooms has transformed into a healthy, wise and very likeable rolemodel. For a long time I loved and still love the way he sings and plays. Now he even inspired me.
always been a long time eagle fan seen them in Auckland before Glen died, just made the call for help today, hard telling mum but I'm gonna get there. so thank-you joe thank-you so much bro.
As of 11/26/2024 I have been sober 7 months and 15 days. Watching this video was an AA and a Celebrate Recovery meeting all in one. It's one day at a time. Blessings to all.🙏
Bless you Joe Walsh, I met you years ago in Orakei, you were on your journey what you are talking about in this clip. I take my hat off to you Joe continuing your journey. Kia kaha e hoa. ❤
Love this video and Joe Walsh e Rangatira. Awesome the wairua / spirit of Otatara Pa who helped a great soul like Joe get back on the right path in his journey throughout life. Safe travels brother Joe. Arohanui.
What a beautiful video :-) Joe is so right.. the best people to help others with addictions are those who have lived through addiction themselves and come through it standing in truth and the light of true spirit.
Joe is so inspiring 🙌 ❤ brought tears to me eyes cos I've struggled for so long with alcoholism but finally seeking help. Joe is an angel. I'm so happy my home country New Zealand gave him sobriety. What he says we must educate our children high five. Those kids at the end brought a huge smile to my face 😃
I have always loved Joe Walsh, from way back when. Amazing guy. This was a fantastic video that gave me goosebumps. He is so respectful of our culture and spirituality. ❤ Much respect for him.
Thanks Joe, I am 29 years sober, it wasn’t as difficult to stop than I thought, when I knew I was not alone and there was help for my disease. And although it has been 29 years, I also know one slip is all it takes to return to the life of demons. After learning there is help, two things became my life ‘Alcohol is not your friend’ and ‘One day at a time’. Thanks Joe for sharing.
Your the greatest joe Walsh, your a great 👍 👌 down to earth 🌎 human being. Im so glad you made it joe clean 25 year's. 2024. you sound great, look great your a new man. Ricky Clark greenville county, South Carolina. 🎉
i have just found this youtube clip. of joe singing desperado.i am absolutely gobsmacked.our awful this is ,ive been an eagles fan for over 50 yrs, how did he ever let this go public..
Wonderful. And I don't know who Jontelle is, but Adelle might want to keep an eye on the rearview. You get the feeling that if Jontelle really cut loose, the paint on the walls might change color.
Yes he could still function. But if you could see what alcohol or drugs are doing to your organs you would stop. The liver can put up with a lot until it is 80% damaged, then there is no going back. That is why if a doctor tells somebody that if they carry on drinking they will die, it's because the blood tests on the liver have come back showing maybe 50% 60% damaged. At that point if you do stop, the good thing about the liver is it can repair itself. But 80% no chance, you will get cirrhosis, your abdomen will fill with fluid, which needs to be drained regularly, and you will look yellow. On top of that you will die a painful death.
Love you Joe. Loved you when you were a Young eagle; When you lived the Life that had been good to you, and still, and always WILL Love you Ma Man. You are truly the embodiment of Love, and always have been. I think that God (Or whoever one's Higher Power is) sets some of us apart. Those of us like you, and me, and many others like us, who have been to the Other side, and came through it. God, has given us a special place in his House, and as such, has assigned us a special Task. To give his love to as many people as we can without limit and without measure, that, I believe is the destiny of those like us. WE ARE the Peacemakers, and thus, have a responsibility to carry this responsibility out without thought of self. And you Joe (Mr. Walsh) ARE TH EMBODIMENT OF THIS GREAT GIFT FROM GOD. Love YOU BEYOND ALL THAT IS. MAY YOU LIVE A 1000 YEARS.
Beautiful testimony. Sobriety is the release of bondage. Your Life is reborn and your True God destined life is revealed. Greatful for hearing his truth!
It's difficult to explain the phenom called Joe Walsh. He is one of those artists that as an individual, I can't respect him enough and his creations are second to none. I think of the greats... Sinatra (not a fan, but) Hendrix, Mozart Ya know? The greats... and there in the lineup is Joe Walsh but I know he is a bit of a secondary star on the charts and like so many other artists I wonder why he doesn't get the admiration that I pour on him from the masses... BUT WAIT A MINUTE! Joe DOES get that admiration and EVERYBODY feels the same way I do about him and then you wonder why THAT is because it doesn't happen like that for the other underdogs.
@@leoormsby8244 I have never been a big fan of that song so it doesn't take much to improve upon it. I will admit it has one of the best lead guitar duos in Rock and Roll thanks to the genius of Walsh and Felder.

I'm currently on a lot of prescription drugs, not from my doctor, I buy them. But when Joe says 'ask for help, pick up the phone' that's gonna be so hard. I'm ashamed of my stupidity, for going down a road of taking drugs to get me through the day. I feel they make my day better, that being without them would take away my support. I know it sounds stupid, deep down I know I'm taking too many, and I'm playing Russian Roulette with my life. The amount of Benzos I take at night should knock out a horse, but I still wake up to another day to get through. Picking up that phone..............maybe.

"The fix is care, family, compassion." You're speaking to the addicted, right? I mean, I'll wager most of the addicted haven't cared enough that their family would be wise to continue compassion. That takes a lot of Love and Humility>> He's a blessed normal everyday average drunk, that don't need to drink NO MORE !
THAT is the best version of Hotel California I have ever heard.

michelle88960 do it.. I did 7 years ago and life is good
michelle,
hi i just wanted to share a few thoughts
with you. i was injured and put on
morphine back in 1993, and continued
to take that while consuming large
amounts of alcohol. that went on until
june 2014. when i weaned myself off
the morphine and alcohol. unfortunately,
my doctors put me on fentanyl patches
for the next year i continued in the
physician supervised opiod haze, in june
of 2015, i weaned myself off the patches
and have been amazed each day as my
body remembers the life before opiods
and i can say in all honesty i never
abused any of the medicines i was
perscribed. i did get off by myself
with FAITH in GOD that i would prevail.
to that end, you do not need to go
to a rehab facility but dig within
yourself find your GOD POWER in that
you will gain the strength to fight off
those demons. one other thing, everyone
fears and dreads the withdrawal symptoms
accept i had none and today i am a better
person because i never walked alone. stay
centered, first you will crawl then put one
foot in front of the other eventually you
are walking finally you will run. it is there
that you begin to fly as your whole being
bristles with the awakening nerves sending
and receiving messages. find music i found
that those artists i knew before the techno
days of the nineties were most benificial.
good luck and GOD SPEED.
