Thats great glad to hear that nitecore is working out well for you! Seems like their annodizing has improved in the last year or so I've noticed it on a few models.
Don’t know what just happened to me… I am a big fenix fan; I own the fenix pd36r v1, pd35 v3. All flagship fenix lights. And ALL damn good ones too! In fact, both of these lights out throw the newly acquired Olight Warrior 3S. BUT…. there is 2 significant differences. Number 1: the runtime specs. Number 2: the TIR Optic being used in the Warrior 3S that gives it a large hotspot. Yes there is a sacrifice of candela… it may not be the brightest! BUT all modes OF brightness are ALL more efficient as far as general lighting needs go. For this alone, the Warrior 3S is a VERY capable Every day carry light. When in actuality… you start USING the light…. It becomes clear that THIS LIGHT is a proper EDC light. I still love my fenixes, but this new Olight is now my edc. And it is for ALL the reasons I stated above.
I like the low light options, great for camping and traveling or when you’re working on something. My Q8 pro will run as a night light while camping, and normal hiking when needed for weeks. Not joking.
The fenix is a good light. I have one and use it daily. I dont always use the highest mode which helps it last quite some time. I charge it about 4 or 5 times a year. Only issue I have is with the charge port cover. Trying to find a place to get some replacements
Hey Urban Survivor, love your videos and thank you SO much for all this hard work!! I may be not reading things right, but are the spec numbers for the Acebeam P18 shown at 2:32 accurate? I just picked up the P16 tonight and is is AMAZING, and will be my new EDC. I was looking at some of their higher output larger lights for a light for my bedside, so went back and rewatched some of your videos, specifically looking at the P18 and P17. I live out in the country, so am very focused on wanting high candela. Looking at Acebeams website it is listing the P18 at 98,910 candela max? Sorry please don’t want or mean to be critical, your work is AMAZING, just trying to figure out my options and make sure I get my next light purchase right. I could be totally messing up those numbers too as my brain is swimming a bit with all this research. Thanks so much!!
Thank you! Yeah their TA30 series is excellent overall! Looks like they just released the TA30C and a few other lights too! Btw ive seen a handful of your light painting shots they look really cool!
@@UrbanSurvivor the upgraded models have a de-domed XHP50D-HI, never heard of that LED before. But increased throw :D thanks man, I made those for some Led Lenser videos and ended up getting into it. Takes tons of shots to get a decent one though.
i carry my p23i in my pocket for work daily for the last 10months. previosly used the ec23 but wanted to upgrade to a 21700 light and the extra .25 inch head isnt a problem. i also got tired of the side switch on the ec23 which was another reason i wanted to upgrade. i wanted a tail switch and also wanted to be able to tail stand
@@skmfkr2 I'm eyeing at the p23i but worried at the size and weight. It does look smaller than other 21700 tact lights though Actually I'm considering the p23i over another more pocketable dual tail switch 18650 - the pd35r because it's on sale and I can have the p23i for cheaper😅 Are you still carrying it daily and it remains somewhat comfortable?
Are any of the batteries otherwise proprietary? For example, Olight typically uses a battery with both conductors in front, and a ridge that prevents them from being charged in a standard charging bay.
also i love all flashlights and i have a few but i dont have and good ones like these but i do have sofirn brand and i have the ASTROLUX EC03 and its a good light for the price for sure and it runs off a 21700 cell so thats a plus but yeah thanks for another great video keep on keepin on ill see you in the next one
If wuben put ceramic glass breaking beads on the bezel. It would win over the p17 for the best tactical light...nitecore is there as well ...gotta have the glass breakers to make it perfect. I love the wuben...best switch easy to use...great light. I want it to have beads. I know it needs a 21700..or shrink it and run a 18650.
Hey! Nice content. In your opinion, between the acebeam p17 and olight warrior 3s; which one is better? I ordered the warrior but thinking about canceling the order and ordering the acebeam
Thats a great idea! I'll see if I can work that into the schedule in the next month or two! I've had a few different ones in the past year but so far the ArmyTek Wizard C2 Pro is a tough light to beat! Nice high output floody beam available in warm or neutral - goodnitegearshop.com/products/armytek-wizard-c2-pro-max-magnet-usb Anyways let me know if there's any other lights you'd like to see included and I'll try to get my hands on them for the review!
@@UrbanSurvivor seems cool but I hate proprietary chargers, just makes everything more difficult, just like having a type c charger where everything is using the same cable
Hi, I can't decide between Acebeam P17, Nitecore P23i and Fenix TK20R V2.0. I need the best one for self defense / EDC purpose (blinding temporarily a potential aggressor, with compact form factor). What model would you suggest me? The P17 is bigger in dimensions (and performance) compared to the others. But between Fenix TK20R V2.0 and Nitecore P23i? What are the main differences, they seem very similar in performances, quality and dimensions. Thank you so much in advance
Do you mean like sp35 and c8? Don't get me wrong, because it would be awesome to see how they compare, but smashing to many products in one video could be more confusing than helpful. That being said, because they cost so much less, here is the possibility for "budget vs premium tactical flashlights" or even a few such videos
So a good light with variable focus just doesn't exist? Strange how the expensive lights have fixed focus and the cheap lights let you zoom in and out.
The only decent adjustable focus light ive tested is the ledlenser p7r core. You do pay a premium for a light with below average specs but the build quality is decent 👌
@@UrbanSurvivor I do enjoy them. Acebeam produce really good lights. The only disappointment for me was tk17, I bought 219c version and 😒... the runtimes were a joke, every mode higher than 200 lumens drained battery like crazy. The tactical and edc torches running on 18650 and 21700 are great. Fenix and Nitecore are also nice and more compact, what makes them better for hiking and edc-ing, p17 and p18 are great for vehicle and home / base-camping use, at least in civilian applications. I also think that most people would find L35 more useful than L19, unless they need a thrower, ofcourse.

P23i too

You should've had the thrunite TT20 because that light completely blows away the olight....
Thanks for the video. My favorite product in this video is that Damned Design knife :D and second one Acebeam P17 :)

Fenix is gonna be the most durable one in this review. Acebeam and Olight are probably tied for second.
on the acebeam website it states the p18s strobe is 5000lm, in your video 2000lm. Did you measure yourself?
My next flashlight is the Imalent SR32 over 120,000 lumens
Do the Acebeams have memory on tactical mode ? They should always revert to high in tactical mode I feel
