- What is Atrial Fibrillation (AF/AFib)? What impact is Atrial Fibrillation going to have on the rest of the body?
This video compares a heart in Atrial Fibrillation to a heart in Normal Sinus Rhythm. We look at how the abnormal conduction of electricity through the atria leads to them 'fibrillating' (contracting rapidly and irregularly) and resulting in irregular contractions of the ventricles.
We then go on to look at how AF leads to a potential loss of cardiac output (loss of atrial kick and rapid ventricular contractions) and an increased risk of stroke for the sufferer.

Can you do a video explaining why high triglycerides can be treated with a low carb but high cholesterol can not? People need to know and understand the difference.
may be, not a subject I'm especially knowledgeable about!
@@thehumanbodyoversimplified5381 I do understand. It's complicated. I understand it but I have a hard time explaining it to others.
Can you please cover the physiologic process of Hisashi Ouchi who was a nuclear accident victim.
Hi Maya, I don't think that's a topic I am very qualified to teach on I'm afraid!
