The normal atrial beat does not make a noise you hear with the stethoscope except in certain athletes at the conclusion of a hard interval (within seconds of the end of the interval) or in certain heart patients. The "4th Heart Sound" ? Presystolic gallop? Heard at the apex listening area?

Coarse atrial fib vs. fine atrial fib (line of the EKG looks almost smooth other than the ventricular activity as opposed to the line jumping around a lot almost resembling atrial flutter waves but irregularly? Is coarse AF more likely to revert on its own to sinus rhythm?

Question: Can Covid 19 cause new onset atrial fibrillation?
Can "long Covid" cause new onset atrial fibrillation?
Even if the initial episode of acute Covid 19 illness was mild with no respiratory distress or lowered blood oxygen saturation?
