I just finished his book “A Book”, and have watched every episode of “I Love Lucy”. I am not Hispanic, just a 60 year old white guy, and I have become a big fan. I understand why if you are Hispanic you are proud of him and his incredible accomplishments, but I think he still is an inspiration for all people. He succeeded and was loved because he appealed to most everyone. I did not know how much hard work he put in and all the innovations he came up with for television. He was clearly a genius, no less so than Lucy was. I wish I could have known him. We could certainly use him in today’s world.
He was always my favorite on I Love Lucy. I loved his accent and how handsome he was. He was so talented. He never took for granted his success and all that he accomplished. I would have loved to meet him
Lucky kids what a great memory they'll have for life and whoever meet him in these last years for him..I'm glad he knew he was still loved and recognized
Desi Arnaz was likable. He made poor choices in life, the worst being cheating on Lucy with two to three women a week but at the same time, he was also intelligent, a great leader, and good to the people who worked for him. He skillfully negotiated ownership of "I Love Lucy." Desilu was his vision. We all love Lucy, but we also love Desi!
Desi was the brain behind the whole operation and not just the lucy operation, but many shows afterwards like Start Trek,........He was a genius and a gorgeous man. It is too bad that he did not have a lot more children.
