i had this once during this quarantine... so this happened when I was gonna sleep, I suddenly felt a small lump on my neck like the ones on the video above, but it didn't hurt and my mom thought it was just the ''normal'' lymph node that fights infection and I thought it's just nothing and few weeks later I observed that it became big and I said that this isn't normal anymore and I was too afraid to tell my mom but I need to. And I went to her and showed the big lump on my neck and she said that I should apply a hot compress on it for minutes so that there will be no pain. And the another week, i suddenly became tired, and later on, i got a fever, and the lump is very hard and is very painful to touch. And my mom got scared so she took me to a safe hospital where there is no covid-19 patients and i got a blood test and my doctor said that i was safe. And i had this kind of infection called lymphadenitis and my doctor said that it isn't some kind of serious infection because the big lump on my neck can be cured by an antibiotic. And now i am fully recovered! Thanks be to God! For everyone who had this, i pray that you all be healed. Keep safe everyone!

@@L8YT hello,my suggestion is that you seek a doctor when it becomes bigger than the ones you have now, because mine is just an infection and it became big (i think mines 1cm big) because it was filled with pus (the doctor said) and the first time i had this when i was about to sleep, i felt a lump that is also a size of a marble... and just seek a doctor when it becomes bigger because my doctor said that any kind of lumps might be cancer but i'm not scaring you, okay? so that's all. just pray ☺
P.S. the lump on my neck is on the right side below the ear (not on the ear)

hey guys.
i noticed a firm painless bump over 6 months ago on the back of my neck, which i discredited at first until i noticed more and more start to show up. it got to the point where there were hard bumps popping out of my head and roughly 20-30 painless nodes throughout my body. obviously that was concerning, but what was even more concerning was my skin itching, and slight hair loss. the more and more i watched these symptoms occur, the more and more i thought it was lymphoma. but it WAS NOT.
guys, health anxiety is a real thing and i completely understand what it feels like. but when you notice these things, try to take some deep breaths. the odds are not against you. chances are, you’re not dying. and it’s not cancer 😭 and you can spend months worrying about something that really isn’t what you think.
obviously it’s important to listen to your body and act accordingly as you see fit. but don’t freak out. start off by trying not to touch them, and getting exercise, changing up your diet, and getting more rest. it’ll be okay :)

update it was a swollen lymphnode my symptoms where fever chills sore throat only on the side it was swollen which turned out to be a tonsil abcess also a earache on the same side my doctor prescribed me antibiotics they didnt help and it got bigger we went to the er then hospital had to get a ct scan for tonsils and ultra sound on my lymphnode got it cut open and i feel better get it checked before it gets bad hope i helped some of yall
me too i have 4 swollen lymph glands on neck, under chin they give me antibiotic and a paper to go to the hospital after medicine over i afraid 😨 to get it cut bro

I’m 18 now, noticed this lump on the right side of my neck right under my jaw. It never hurt at all but it was large and I could move it around it was also tender, but never hurt which was concerning. I thought it would go away but even after a year later I still have it. I also have smaller large lymph nodes on both sides of my neck. But none of them ever hurt they’re all the same, painless and tender but moveable. Had an ultra sound they measured the biggest one of my left as 3cm x 1cm (something around that) I have TERRIBLE anxiety because of it. I get very fatigue and nauseous but I know it’s all in my head. I’m still getting it checked out so hoping it’s nothing bad. My doctor keeps telling me to watch it to see if it goes away but I will get more tests done because I’m never calm about it. Overall, it hasn’t affected my health other then my anxiety which is only mental but it is scary I have no family history of cancers or tumors or anything like that but I was very sick before I noticed my lymph nodes were swollen so hopefully it’s nothing bad.

So I'm seeing a lot of comments asking about the recovery of the surgery. I had it done today and after a nap, you are pretty much good to go. Don't do any heavy lifting or anything like that. Take care of the wound and don't stress over getting the procedure done. If you have some anxiety about the surgery, please tell your nurses and they will give you some medicine that will help you calm down. You may experience some nausea pre-surgery and post-surgery. Take your time with recovery. Don't immediately rip off your bandage and go back to normal life. You will be prescribed pain medication most likely. You will feel some tension in your neck but it is nothing to be afraid of. Please tell someone if you have these lumps and see a doctor as soon as possible!

We all get swollen lymph nodes in life don't worry its completely normal, just get them checked out as soon as possible, most of the time its just a little infection.

I had an oddly shaped lateral one that appeared when I was about seven. We went to the doctor, who said it was harmless, but I never knew it was a common thing for kids to have! It lasted for a few years and disappeared entirely when I was a teenager :0

Hi! Even I had sore throat last week. I didn't take medicines as per the doctor's prescription. Now my left lymph node is paining (it is situated below the left ear near the jaw).After watching this video I freaked out and yesterday night I couldn't sleep. I googled my symptoms and it showed that it may cause cancer. Today I went to an ENT specialist and he said there's nothing to worry about it because the lymph nodes are tender. It got infected because of wrong medication. Don't worry

If you have an acne it's normal to have swollen lymph nodes especially if you attempt to pop your pimples.

I have a little bump on the side of my neck and I was freaking out that it was thyroid nodule but I think it’s likely just a swollen lymph node! It’s small and sorta football shaped and it’s hard to the touch but I can move it around with my finger. I have an appointment next week with an ENT doctor just in case though!
Edit for anyone who reads this in the future: I went to the doctor and he said that my enlarged lymph node isn’t anything to be concerned about because I’m not exhibiting symptoms. Like night sweats or tenderness and pain the area. He said it’s more concerning when the lymph node is round and not bean shaped like mine is! But he did make me an appointment for an ultrasound of my neck just to be sure it’s not anything serious.

@Ziad Mosilhy Mine is just an enlarged lymph node! I went to the doctor today and he said he doesn’t think it’s anything serious because it’s not round and I don’t have any symptoms like night sweats, difficult swallowing, or tenderness and pain in the area. He did schedule me for an ultrasound though just in case but he said he doesn’t think it’ll show anything abnormal.

I got right after I healed from food poisoning. I was scared I was developing something worse, thankfully though I went to urgent care and it was explained to me. It still hurts a ton but I’m no longer scared of it being terrible

Im 20 currently I’ve had one in my left side since i was in elementary I believe or even longer when i was born i use to feel it didnt know what was it never bother me or anything. Just now I started to look for more in my neck and i found other 2 mini ones smaller or quite the same size as my left. It’s weird when i was younger i don’t remember having them. They dont hurt at all though.

I think it’s my wisdom tooth growing and it hurts a bit when I swallow. I’m not scared because Its not extremely painful to me, but I’m starting to get worried.

They’re assuming it’s a bacterial infection that is being eradicated in the Lymph node by Lymphocytes residing there.........I grew up on an island in the 1960s-80s without antibiotics so I was constantly getting those Lymph nodes in groin and armpit swollen from infected cuts, scrapes, stepping on nails, etc.........It is a Concern if you are getting swollen lymph nodes these days in America because everybody is given antibiotics before they get infections and even for viruses.

If you have swollen lymph nodes. Doesn't necessarily mean it's infection that has caused it.. it also could mean there possibly there's something serious going on somewhere in your body. Is this correct???

I had this as a kid. I have a tiny scar on the right side of my neck. They were concerned for cancer but I believe it was just very infected? or they removed the bad ones! I've had this for over a year now. It sometimes grows too big and sometimes it contracts and is barely visible. The previous doctor I checked with said that it was due to an infection but i don't think an infection would last this long. Moreover the lump has hardened too much and hurts. I have also been feeling quite tired ever since it started. I think I'll just go to a hospital and have it checked.

I felt small lump below my chin 6 year ago. But it was not paining though. But now my neck is swelling , I am feeling irritation on my face ,neck and on eyes. Please treat them as soon as possible don't let them untreated. They appeared occasionally but they can bother your life.
One day I had a swollen lymph node appear under my jaw in the middle of my neck . It’s painless unless I mess with it then it becomes tender but it moves when I push on it . I got it checked by the doctor and he said sometimes lymph nodes well swell up do to an infection and never go back down so don’t be afraid

I don't feel any bumps or anything but I seem to always have phelm on one side of my throat and sometimes that nose passage gets blocked. Often times my neck will also tense up. I don't know if it is from tension over the years or there is a condition. Up until about a few years ago, the feeling would come and go and I would work around it. But now it lingers. I'm trying Chinese herbs to loosen up my muscles, and a lymphatic drainage remedy. I'm trying to go a natural root but it's difficult to figure out what I'm working with as I find dealing with the medical system to be cumbersome.

I had this operation done. I was able to see when the doctors' gloves were full of my blood. The spray that was used after making a cut on my neck was terrible. 😑
In the middle of the operation, I was able to feel the pain as my neck was cut, so the doctors again gave injection to you numb that portion.

I love singing. 6 months ago something happened. I couldn't breath at night we rush to hospital thought I was having covid. But test result came negative..doc gave me a injection. And we went back home. After a month there is this thing. Feeling like my jaw is tightening. And tension around my neck. Now it's been 6 months i think it's going away slowly.. he tightness around my neck is lessening

well, that’s the weird science about this surgery. After you get it, you will probably have other lymph nodes swelling up but they go down after around a week. After that, it all balances out

It could just be due to a cold. They sometimes swell up when you have a cold

i think i had the lateral lymph node and its kinda big now and oh lord im afraid to get surgery not because if i feel pain but we cant afford it so i might just live with bump in my neck forever
I have one sized around 1 cm. It can be move and rubbery. The skin around the lump is kinda dark coloured (or maybe its just me idk its kinda hard to see). Ive went to the doctors last 4-5 months ago they took blood sample and check the doctor told me its nothing to wory about. But google scares me and i have health anxiety now. So idk hope its nothing.

@@monishhalder3234 from what I know, blood test is not gonna gave any results relate to that thing. U need to do CT SCANNING and something called ULTRA(i forget this one) to learn and know the origin of that thing. Like tracking the cause.. I'm not a doctor, so. I hope u understand it
I've always had lymph nodes in between my legs and groin, or below my jaw, armpit but this was my first time noticing it on my neck. I have health anxiety and immediately sprung out of my bed. I have mental health problems rn, I don't think i can handle other health issues.
Same here i have multiple bumps above my collar bone and one side of my neck that fluctuate in size and have been on my body without going away for a couple months now, i dont need a serious health problem in my life right now at all

I’m 18 now, noticed this lump on the right side of my neck rig ht under my jaw. It never hurt at all but it was large and I could move it around it was also tender, but never hurt which was concerning. I thought it would go away but even after a year later I still have it. I also have smaller large lymph nodes on both sides of my neck. But none of them ever hurt they’re all the same, painless and tender but moveable. Had an ultra sound they measured the biggest one of my left as 3cm x 1cm (something around that) I have TERRIBLE anxiety because of it. I get very fatigue and nauseous but I know it’s all in my head. I’m still getting it checked out so hoping it’s nothing bad. My doctor keeps telling me to watch it to see if it goes away but I will get more tests done because I’m never calm about it. Overall, it hasn’t affected my health other then my anxiety which is only mental but it is scary I have no family history of cancers or tumors or anything like that but I was very sick before I noticed my lymph nodes were swollen so hopefully it’s nothing bad.

it may be an autoimmune condition in your body. I had a swello lymph node, i am a bio student i was very scarred about it.i consulted my dr he told me that I had rumetide arthritis 😢😢
I am 25 years old and 2 weeks ago I started to feel the swollen lymph node on the left side of my neck, I was prescribed some injections and it went down a bit, but then it increased in size again, according to what I have investigated it can take up to 3 months to return the lymph node to normal.

Still remember early 2017, i got this small bump on my neck. At first when i met the doctor, the doctor kind curious why i don't feel sick if i have it. But then The small bump getting bigger slowly and surely. The bump friends also appear too.as the bump getting bigger, i frequently started having sudden cold,fever,lost weight and cough. When i got fever and cold at the same times,my body shivering like hell. It's so sudden bcus it's attack me when my school test just started😭. I could not forget about it. Well to cut it short i just got infection from my mother illness. My mom diagnosed TB in 2014 and fully recovered. After i getting treatment for TB the bumps getting smaller. i stop having sudden cold and cough.
My Mom ct scan has detected multiple necrotic nodes in the mediastrium and neck. It is probably tb, she is having fever only at night. Can u plz suggest if tb causes night fever,sore throat and weight loss

I had an infection in my throat, and it started soft and tender, bur after the infection was gone, the lymph node got smaller but it doesn't hurt and it's hard.... It is under my chin.
same as me. i got infection in my mouth.. and lymph node under my jaw. getting smaller. but it is still there..
Don't worry it's normal because it always been there you just didn't notice there it just shrinks doesn't completely go away

My dad had Non-hotchkins. I’ve had a lymph node on my neck my whole life, and the doctors have never said anything about the lymph node being bad. I still have anxiety about possibly having cancer, though. Occasionally I get new lymph nodes on my neck as well. So... yeah scary stuff.
Jack you should definitely get that checked out, if the cancer is hereditary. Just make an appointment to see a doctor to rule out anything serious

I woke up this morning with this roundish ball on the side of my neck that I can push around but it hurts. Haven’t moved it anywhere but it’s got me concerned
Go get it checked asap, mine is getting larger and more painful even from the gentlest tap but I have to wait for one more week for my appointment.

I had this happen to me last year for the first time during COVID. It came with sore throat ear pain on my left side and trouble swallowing. I thought it was allergies but no allergy medication helped. It started with just like a sore throat in the middle of my chest and it slowly moved up. I had changed my diet last year because I think it was acid reflex and it actually went away. I don’t know if that was just a coincidence though but it’s come back this year in April.
I’m going to try changing my diet again and see if that helps or if I need to go to the doctor.
Got the exact same thing, went to see the doctor but i felt like he didn't bother checking on me very well he just very quickly checked and told me not to eat to eat big meals lol

I had this 14 days ago and before this i was gone for hangout with frnds and i have drunk too much cold water

Then i was waited for 5 days then that lump grow and it was feel big lump
Then after 2 days a small new lump occurred
Then after 3 days i has gone hospital then they given me some medicines for 3 days,but still no change occurred in those lumps
Then today i was gone hospital and doctor gave me some medicine and i have done sonography and 4 lumps occurred in under my neck and i will done my second test tomorrow

Yo, I’m a 16 year old healthy male, I am pretty active and go to the gym and have no symptoms other then the fact I have some lymph nodes like 1 on each side of my neck that I can feel. They have all started from a sickness such as a cold and never really went away but never grown or hurt. I get in my head a lot about them but I guess if anyone knows exactly when to worry that would help a lot. Thanks

Ive got a lump on my neck and ive had it for years now. My doctor said its a swollen lymph node and its never gone away. It is smaller now but ive also got a few small ones underneath my jaw, i think about 5 which is seriously worrying me. I havent got any of the symptoms except for it not going away, it doesnt hurt or does it affect my breathing eating etc so idk if i should be scared.

Is it safe to remove that? You're cutting off connections with other connecting lymph nodes.
perfectly safe compared to leaving it in.
