For me, sound-wise, yes! The K669d is great for the price, but has a somewhat harsh top end. The PM1 is warmer. Just note that the plosive rejection on the K669d is better.

Thus far, what would you say is the BEST budget XLR microphone? I'm needing something that is versatile and can be used for discord, vocals, AND streaming.

I'm new to your channel and I'm finding really interesting info in your reviews. I got a question. I'm not sure if I should invest in an audio interface to use with my Behringer XM8500 dynamic mic or just get an Fifine AM8 or the one reviewed in this video. What would you recommend? Usage is going to be games, discord, and light streamings
Thank you for the kind words. I’m not even considering the XM8500 anymore as I find that it sounds too muddy. The AM8 is great as it’s tried and tested. The Feelworld PM1 is still new but has the best build quality at this price point. I can’t guarantee the PM1 preamps will stand the test of time, but sound is better than the AM8 by a little bit. Take note that the PM1 has looping RGB.
You keep talking about how good it sounds, but when you switched from your first mic to this one it was a MASSIVE drop in quality. Especially in the mid-high frequency range. That's just with what I can tell after RUclips compression. Plus there is a strong background noise going on. To the point where I went and listened to some other videos just to be sure it wasn't something weird on my end. I don't think that's a good mic.

I would say the audio quality between them is more or less equal.
The microphone looks like the Beacn and Shure MV7. By the way FiFine just released a new microphone called the Tank3.
It sure does look like them! Just saw the Tank 3 as well, but it isn’t available in the Philippines yet. Hope to get my hands on it. :)

This seems like a good upgrade from mu old fifine k669b. I wonder, do you prefer the Feelworld, the k688 or the am8 in terms of sounds.

I’d say close to the K688 enough to be subjective, but the PD400x takes the cake! I haven’t had a chance to try the MV7+.

Thank you! My take: For the value, the Feelworld PM1 is best out of the box, and the Maono PD200x is a contender if you consider the free software.
