Too bad that I don't use Facebook to join the group :-( Great video as usual! 👍🤸 I also think that notes in tune sound more resonant - a bit more when tuned with the mouth. Not only are you practicing pitch but also equal resonant sounding notes :-) In germany we call the throat tones "barrel tones" 😙 Greeetings from your fan overseas 🤗
You spend about four to five thousand dollars for a professional clarinet; then a few hundred dollars more for a new mouthpiece and ligature because the stock mouthpiece and ligature that come with new instrument just aren't good enough; some go a step further and spend a few hundred dollars more on a custom barrel and bell; then you buy a box of reeds and immediately you throw the half of them because they are garbage; then you notice that your instrument doesn't play in tune, so you pull in and out parts of your instrument to somehow make it play in tune - isn't it lovely!
Hi I like to practice outside, being that it's summer, nice out, when the air/ wind hits I lose air and .i hear whistle or howling sound, what do I do to correct that?
@@callyclarinet You know, I mentioned great video mainly because tuning, I think is the number 1 factor that makes a great player, musician, either soloist or orchestral.. Very important!! I had many teachers before getting my diploma and the last one I had, really corrected my tuning technic and he considered it the most important thing in playing music. He was so right!! When I corrected my tuning, playing changed radically. In my opinion, that's also quite a factor which separates a great musician from a good musician, the tuning perfection!! Of course a good instrument helps in this quite a lot too.. but that's another story..😂
That duet is really helpful exercise to me, especially before starting my first amateur orchestra season in NYC...
Congratulations!!

Hi,I’ve been playing many years, always very flat, any tips
Awesome
Hi Cally, do you tongue the accents in the accompaniment part or use breath accents? I always find legato markings over the top of accent confusing.
I agree, so confusing! I just do a breath accent in this to emphasize the notes a little more.

what if the clarinet is too flat? i cant push the barrel further down
You may need to adjust your embouchure, voicing, tongue position, play using a harder reed, or buy a different mouthpiece and/or barrel.
Great video! But the one with ligatures is my no1 favourite..
Thank you!!! I spent a lot of time on that one. What did you like about it?
